Aldi starts his new job and makes an unexpected new friend
Steeeeephen plans a holiday with Elaine , but what is he up to?
MONDAY
Spider has a shot at saving Toyah Battersby
With Toyah Battersby still missing, Spider is on a mission to track her down when he receives a text telling him to follow instructions or Toyah will be killed! Leanne tells Nick how Spider has banned her from involving the police as it could put Toyah?s life at risk. Having arrived at the waste ground, Spider sees the kidnapper has a gun and suddenly a shot rings out!
Elaine is mortified when Audrey tries to talk to her about her supposed depression and then reveals that she?s having doubts about Steeeeephen. However, Audrey assures her that Steeeeephen loves her very much.
Meanwhile, Stepheeeeen?s quietly horrified to realise his own plans are unravelling when he discovers a potential buyer for the factory is having a terrible time as his wife?s life insurance won?t pay out after she took her own life. He screws up the fake suicide note and hides it.
Back at home, Elaine tells a shocked Steeeeephen it?s clear he doesn?t love her and they should cancel the wedding. But when he hears Mary chatting about Isabella needing some hiking boots so she doesn?t fall to her death in the Peak District, he?s given food for thought. Begging Elaine to give him another chance, he suggests a romantic break in the Peak District. Whilst Elaine heads off to pack, Steeeeeeephen checks over her life insurance.
Aadi flirts with Amy as she arrives for work. But he is disappointed when Dev reveals that Asha is going to show Amy the ropes while they go for a round of golf with Darren, a local entrepreneur. Darren reveals his business plans to Dev who suggests Aadi might like to be his right-hand man.
When Lauren reveals that her Dad has asked her to support him at his sentencing tomorrow, Max makes it clear that if she does, she?ll be on her own from now on. Will Lauren heed his warning?
Brian and Isabella return from their trip and Brian admits to Mary that he?s had enough of Isabella. Mary urges him to be honest with her but will he chicken out?
WEDNESDAY
Tim Metcalfe attacks Steeeeephen
As Steeeeephen and Elaine get ready to leave for the Peak District, a family photo reveals to Elaine that the woman she saw Steeeeephen on a zoom with was his ex wife, Gabrielle. Covering her alarm, she heads out.
Telling Tim Metcalfe that Steeeeephen?s been lying to her, Elaine starts to piece together all Steeeeephen?s suspicious activity. She then shows Tim a metal box in which Steeeeephen files things away. Tim prises it open and they?re shocked to discover the forged life insurance documents.
With Elaine out of the way, it?s Tim who waits at the flat to confront Steeeeephen. As an angry Tim tells him the game?s up and they?re going to report him to the police, a struggle ensues? has Tim accidentally killed Steeeeephen?
As Mary and Isabella clash once again, Rita clocks Brian?s wistful gaze at Mary and realises he has feelings for her. Isabella catches Brian on the phone to her builder in Naples and realises he wants rid of her. Brian finally admits that he?d like her to leave but when she bursts into tears and reveals Brian is her only friend, what will he do?
Aadi?s suited and booted ready to start his new job and he?s chuffed when Amy invites him to join her at a charity gala that evening. Aadi tries to talk to Darren about Dev?s desire to invest, but when it becomes clear Darren?s main interest is to ensure Aadi picks up his wife from an event that night, he?s gutted, knowing he?ll have to let Amy down.
Aadi collects Courtney, with the intention of driving her home but when Courtney asks him to take her for a kebab, he soon finds himself enjoying her company?
Max breaks the news to Lauren her Dad was given an 18 year sentence.
FRIDAY
Aadi Alahan kisses his boss?s wife
When Darren reveals he has a meeting, Aadi Alahan hopes to sit in, but he?s disappointed when Darren explains he?d like him to take Courtney shopping instead. Aadi confides in Courtney how he took the job hoping he would gain some business experience and be able to share his own ideas. Revealing she has an MBA, Courtney suggests he shares his ideas with her instead. Together Courtney and Aadi cajole Darren into agreeing to a meeting with Dev.
Later, Aadi gets a text from Courtney telling him to meet her at Darren?s office and he arrives to find her alone. Making it clear she?s got the hots for him, Courtney leans in for a kiss but will Aadi respond?
After the events of last night, Audrey jumps to the conclusion that it was Elaine?s intention to bump Steeeeephen off so that she could claim the insurance, not the other way round! Craig calls at No.4 with news from the hospital. Has Steeeeephen survived the incident?
When a fellow solicitor congratulates Adam on becoming a father, he suffers another major panic attack.
Brian and Mary wave Isabella off to the airport. Brian then thanks Mary for her support, his feelings clearly running deeper than he?s letting on.
Coronation Street killer Stephen Reid panics next week as his evil plan to kill Elaine Jones lies in tatters.
The Weatherfield villain is horrified when Elaine's son Tim furiously confronts him over the forged life insurance policy.
Stephen recently took out a life insurance policy on Elaine and initially tried to kill her by swapping her blood pressure medication with caffeine pills.
When this didn't work, Stephen spread false rumours that Elaine is depressed, hoping to make it look like a suicide when he eventually makes his move.
Next week, Stephen realises that he'll have to change tactics after overhearing an upsetting conversation at Underworld.
Stephen learns that a potential buyer for the factory is going through a tough time, as his wife's life insurance won't pay out after she took her own life.
The schemer changes his plans by inviting Elaine to join him for a holiday in the Peak District, where he plans to stage an unfortunate "accident".
By this point, Elaine is already having doubts about Stephen's commitment to her, so she's reluctant over the holiday.
The final straw for Elaine comes when she finds the Platts looking through some old family photos. Elaine realises that a woman she recently saw Stephen on a Zoom call with was actually his ex-wife Gabrielle.
Elaine turns to Tim for support, explaining that Stephen has been lying to her for weeks.
The mother-son duo are finally united again as they look through a metal box, which Stephen uses to file things away.
Tim forces open the box and they're both stunned to find the forged life insurance documents inside.
Elaine gets herself safely out of the way, while Tim waits at the flat to confront Stephen.
Tim warns Stephen that the game is up and they're going to report him to the police.
As a struggle follows, could Tim become Stephen's next victim?
