And one of them gets spooked by the Mrs Mangel portrait.

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours has released a first look at the revival series as we meet a new family in Erinsborough.

The show is due to return next week on Amazon Freevee, with some fresher faces set to join the ensemble alongside more familiar ones.

Among them are the Varga-Murphy family, consisting of mums Remi and Cara and teenage sons JJ and Dex, who are set to rock up as Jane Harris rents her home out on an Airbnb-type site called Rent-A-Home.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CxDXmzCMDUO/

Remi and Cara explain how someone just knocked on the door of their previous home and made them an offer to buy, and they are planning to stay with Remi's parents while they build their new home.

However, her parents aren't "quite ready" for them yet, hence they need a place to live for the time being.

Jane, who is preparing for the big mysterious wedding that is set to take place, tells them to make themselves at home as she heads off to finish getting dressed, before JJ gets spooked by the iconic Mrs Mangel portrait hanging on the wall.

A description of the family reads: "Despite their different outlooks on life, mothers Cara and Remi are a united front when parenting their teenage sons, JJ and Dex. The household is full of love and playful energy, but that doesn?t mean you shouldn?t expect fireworks.

"Someone in the family has an ulterior motive for being in Erinsborough... And it?ll have explosive ramifications for their neighbours."

Neighbours' executive producer Jason Herbison said of the Varga-Murphys: "It feels fitting that the new season will herald the arrival of a new household, with many new stories to tell. They have fitted into Erinsborough beautifully, they are warm, fun and also very unpredictable."

Neighbours returns on September 18, with new episodes streaming on Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. Network 10 will retain first-run rights in Australia for the new series.

Neighbours teases future for new family in latest episode
The Varga-Murphys are here to stay.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a45425094/neighbours-spoilers-varga-murphy-family-future/

Neighbours spoilers follow from Tuesday's episode (October 3), which is streaming now on Amazon Freevee.

Neighbours has hinted at the long-term future for the new Varga-Murphy family.

Cara, Remi and their sons JJ and Dex have been staying at Number 24 over the past fortnight after Jane Harris rented out her home to the newcomers.

The Varga-Murphys are currently on holiday in Erinsborough, but Tuesday's episode set the scene for how they'll ultimately become permanent residents on Ramsay Street.

An important conversation for the family arose when Remi voiced her doubts over their plan to build a new house in their home city of Werribee.

Remi's anxiety was partly influenced by the possible threat posed by the Linwell brothers. Recent mentions of the Varga-Murphys' backstory have revealed that the Linwells hold a grudge against Cara after she blew the whistle on their dodgy dealings.

In an open chat, Remi told Cara: "I trust your judgement and I know that nothing's happened since. But since we've been here, I just suddenly started thinking: wouldn't this make a great home?

"It's a great street, I love the neighbours and when do you ever get to move somewhere knowing so much about everyone beforehand?

"It's for the boys too ? JJ mainly. He likes the street, he's curious and interested in everyone. He seemed so lost at home."

With Number 30 empty now that Toadie Rebecchi and his family have moved in with Terese Willis, Remi suggested that they could change course by purchasing the property.

Remi also pointed out that she could secure work at the local hospital, while Cara could apply for a lucrative job currently being advertised at Lassiters.

Although surprised by these sudden suggestions, Cara was open to the idea of this becoming a family discussion.

Unfortunately, any conversation about the future would have to wait, as JJ made his excuses to leave and continue his ongoing detective work.

JJ is determined to find out whether he's right with his theory over Andrew Rodwell being his biological father.

When the Rodwells were out at the movies, JJ seized his chance to snoop through their house. Although JJ's brother Dex is now aware of his mission, his mums are oblivious.

With the Varga-Murphys now looking into a permanent move to Ramsay Street, is JJ only just getting started?

Neighbours kicks off feud for two Ramsay Street families
Tensions run high.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a45438988/neighbours-spoilers-varga-murphy-rodwell-feud/

Neighbours spoilers follow from Wednesday's episode (October 4), which is streaming now on Amazon Freevee.

Neighbours has launched a new feud for the Varga-Murphy and Rodwell families.

The clans went head-to-head in the closing moments of Wednesday's episode as JJ's secretive behaviour began to cause fireworks.

Viewers know that JJ suspects Andrew Rodwell is his biological father, although he has only shared this theory with his younger brother Dex so far.

In the latest Neighbours, JJ continued to sneak around the Rodwell family home after swiping a spare key.

JJ's hope of establishing a connection between himself and Andrew was seemingly achieved when he managed to find an interesting photograph in a Rodwell family album.

Unfortunately, JJ's detective work didn't go entirely unnoticed as Sadie returned home and caught him snooping.

JJ made the excuse that he'd come over to borrow some milk. While this seemed unusual, JJ cleverly pointed out that Sadie's mum Wendy had a similar relaxed attitude to trespassing, having paid an uninvited visit to Number 24 earlier while everyone was out.

Sadie thought nothing more of JJ's visit, but feared the worst when Wendy's watch mysteriously went missing from the Rodwell house.

With the Rodwells mistakenly assuming that JJ was responsible, a dramatic showdown followed on Ramsay Street as they bitterly clashed with the Varga-Murphys.

Wendy, Andrew and Sadie all pointed the finger, but Cara and Remi defended JJ after he protested his innocence.

As things got out of hand, it was left to Remi to drop the bombshell that they'd all be seeing much more of each other, announcing: "We're not going anywhere. We're your new neighbours."

Can the two families find a way to make peace, or are worse tensions still to come when JJ's true agenda is inevitably revealed?

Neighbours explores homophobia in Varga-Murphy family storyline
Dex faces trouble at school.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a45517328/neighbours-spoilers-varga-murphy-family-homophobia/

Neighbours spoilers follow from Thursday's episode (October 12), which is streaming now on Amazon Freevee.

Neighbours explored the upsetting effects of homophobia in Thursday's episode as show newcomers JJ and Dex Varga-Murphy faced a difficult first day at school.

JJ and Dex were keen to settle in as they joined Erinsborough High, but things got off to a rocky start when their mum Remi paid an unexpected visit.

Remi popped into the school as Dex had forgotten to bring his inhaler with him. Eavesdropping on the conversation, school bully Noah Dawes overheard a reference to Dex and JJ having two mothers.

When Dex and JJ confirmed this was the case, Noah tried to humiliate Dex in class by making offensive jokes about the Varga-Murphy family.

Erinsborough High's headteacher Jane Harris witnessed the end of Noah's outburst and immediately stepped in to shut it down, sending him out of the classroom.

Jane then called in Noah's father Pete, confirming that the troublemaker would be suspended for three days. Pete voiced his disappointment over Noah's behaviour, but also complained that the punishment was too harsh.

Back at home later, Dex reassured Remi and Cara that he'd received support from the other students.

Dex said: "It wasn't a big deal ? Noah was just showing off, trying to be a big man.

"It's way harder for Noah than me ? all the kids at school think he was being a tool."

In a moving conversation, Remi and Cara reflected on how the family's experiences with similar situations have changed over time.

Remi pointed out: "It was less than last time, which was better than the time before with JJ.

"The other kids siding with Dex ? that's new. I like that. It is getting better, isn't it?"

Cara replied: "Maybe this is the last time we'll have to have this conversation."

The drama at school soon fed into the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the future of Erinsborough High, as Jane learned that Pete was stirring up trouble.

Pete threatened to withdraw Noah permanently from Erinsborough High if his suspension wasn't cancelled ? and he claimed to have the backing of other parents who'd do the same with their own children.

With Jane under pressure to keep pupil numbers high to avoid the school being closed down, could she be forced to change her mind about Noah's punishment?

Neighbours confirms danger for Cara, Remi, JJ and Dex
Are the Linwell brothers in Erinsborough?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a45577524/neighbours-spoilers-cara-remi-jj-dex-danger/

Neighbours spoilers follow from Thursday's episode (October 19), which is streaming now on Amazon Freevee.

Neighbours has confirmed that someone is targeting the Varga-Murphy family, with a second malicious incident causing trouble for the Ramsay Street newcomers.

The show's latest episode saw Cara, Remi, JJ and Dex receive a nasty shock as JJ prepared to go on another driving lesson with his loved ones.

The Varga-Murphys were horrified to find their car window smashed in, forcing them to cancel the lesson. This came just a few days after Cara's professionalism as Lassiters' building manager had been called into question thanks to a falling ceiling fan, which may have been sabotaged.

Cara shared the theory that the vandalism could be connected to JJ and Dex being bullied at school.

Several parents at Erinsborough High have threatened to withdraw their children in response to Jane Harris suspending school bully Noah Dawes.

Noah had taunted Dex with homophobic comments about his two mums, prompting Jane to step in with a zero-tolerance policy towards offensive remarks.

Remi had another worry on her mind, pointing out that the Linwell brothers could be taking revenge on Cara.

Cara played down this possibility, unaware that Wendy Rodwell recently contacted the Linwells and may have inadvertently revealed the family's whereabouts.

When the Varga-Murphys called the police, Andrew Rodwell arrived to take their statements.

While Cara explained about the bullying, Remi provided information about how Cara anonymously reported the construction company she was working for in Werribee after uncovering unsafe work practices. This led to the family receiving threats from the Linwells before they moved to Erinsborough.

Andrew agreed to investigate both possible theories, but with little evidence to go on, there wasn't much he could do in the meantime.

With enemies seemingly lurking in the shadows, is this just the start of the harassment facing the Varga-Murphys?

would cara surely recognise andrew as jj father if he is

Andrew was supposedly an anonymous sperm donor. A little while back JJ told Dex the story from the old diary that he found from his mum's friend Phillipa. I can't remember all the details, but I think Cara & Remi were going to use a sample from a US donor, but Cara instead actually used a sample that her friend Phillipa had, but didn't use (without telling Remi). So, Cara & Remi never knew Andrew (I am not sure whether Phillipa actually knew Andrew, or he was an anonymous donor for her as well - maybe someone else remembers what JJ said about what was in the diary??).

Some of it is mentioned in this Metro.co.uk article:

Neighbours spoilers: Andrew Rodwell destroyed as JJ Varga-Murphy drops huge bombshell

Relevant parts of the article include:

"JJ, as viewers know, believes that Andrew is his biological father, having discovered an old diary belonging to his mum?s friend Phillipa which pretty much confirms such a theory."

And:

"It?s likely that Wendy has no clue that Andrew anonymously donated a sample of his sperm to Cara. Cara, meanwhile, is thought to have let Remi believe that the sample she used to conceive was from a US donor."

Two things about that is how could she write anything about Andrew in her diary if he was an unknown sperm donor and why did Phillipa have a sperm sample for them to use it gets more confusing the more you think about it

I actually thought the controversy was that she slept with andrew and didnt use a sperm sample. If it was a sperm sample then what is the problem with the partner knowing

Bossy7

Cara, Andrew & Toadie all knew Phillipa. Remi & Wendy did not like her. At the time Andrew gave Phillipa the sample, Wendy was trying to get pregnant and her relationship with Andrew was rocky.
Cara was also desperate to get pregnant. Neither Cara nor Andrew could tell their partners what they had done.

Maybe Im the only one but I really wanted Andrew to be the dad!! Way more drama for both families if it turned out that way. Think the writers missed a really good opportunity here.
Remi, Wendy and Dex need all the help they can get. Dont find any of those characters likeable or engaging.

Neighbours lines up dangerous new storyline for JJ Varga-Murphy
Gang leader Slade threatens him.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a46757781/neighbours-spoilers-jj-varga-murphy-danger/

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours teen JJ Varga-Murphy makes an enemy next week as a dramatic new storyline begins.

The Erinsborough High schoolboy finds himself in trouble as a gang starts causing problems in the local area.

Upcoming episodes see the business owners at the Lassiters complex compare notes over a group of kids who have started to cross the line.

This includes issues with graffiti and vandalism, leaving police sergeant Andrew Rodwell with lots on his plate as he tries to resolve the community's concerns.

s the problems continue to intensify, JJ steps in to scare off gang leader Slade and his cronies after he catches them committing another act of vandalism.

JJ is pleased to have made an impact with his brave intervention, but his ego takes a beating when his mums Cara and Remi find out.

As Cara expresses her concerns over the situation, it's clear that she's still dealing with the emotional toll of her own whistleblowing past involving the Linwell brothers.

It seems that Cara was right to be worried when JJ finds himself in another threatening situation with Slade. This is only the beginning of bigger problems to come, with the story set to continue in the weeks that follow.

Other spoilers released this week have revealed that Aaron Brennan will find himself in a violent confrontation with Slade. Andrew steps in to break the pair up, sensing that Aaron's outburst is influenced by his grief.

Meanwhile, James Beaufort has been cast as Andrew's brother Felix, who'll share some intriguing scenes with JJ in early March.

Neighbours airs JJ's gang trouble on Tuesday, February 20.

Writers seem to be struggling for SLs with the school kids. So far I cannot be bothered with this group other than JJAY and his paternity.

Neighbours' JJ Varga-Murphy in terrible danger as gang storyline intensifies
Will he be okay?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a46859855/neighbours-spoilers-jj-varga-murphy-slade-visit/

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours teen JJ Varga-Murphy faces danger at Erinsborough High next week as the show's gang storyline continues.

JJ is targeted by Slade Westall following his recent brave attempts to stand up to the new villain in town.

Slade was introduced to the soap last month when he and a group of friends terrorised Melanie Pearson after using a dating app to lure her into a trap.

More recent episodes have revealed that Slade and his cronies are responsible for a spate of graffiti, vandalism and other anti-social behaviour around the Lassiters complex.

JJ stepped in to confront Slade when he spotted him up to no good in Monday's episode (February 19), but it appeared that he may have made a dangerous enemy.

Next week, JJ puts on a brave face as he doesn't want his younger brother Dex to know that he's afraid of Slade.

Slade soon shows up at Erinsborough High, forcing JJ to realise that the threats against him are very real.

Later, JJ and Dex walk to the complex and they're confronted by Slade and his gang yet again.

Show bosses have confirmed that JJ finds himself in "a whole world of trouble" ? will this latest showdown have a violent end?

Earlier this week, Aaron Brennan had a separate showdown with Slade after discovering that he'd spitefully vandalised the Drinks Divas van on Ramsay Street.

Slade and his accomplices defaced the images of Melanie and David Tanaka on the vehicle, just days after David's tragic death.

Aaron went on the attack when he caught up with Slade, but police sergeant Andrew Rodwell was nearby and stepped in to pull him away.

Neighbours airs JJ's gang danger on Tuesday, February 27.

Neighbours confirms knife drama in JJ and Slade story
Erinsborough High goes into lockdown.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a46873438/neighbours-spoilers-jj-slade-knife-drama/

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours teen JJ Varga-Murphy steals a knife next week as he fears for his safety in the show's ongoing gang storyline.

The schoolboy makes a dangerous decision after a violent encounter with new villain Slade Westall.

JJ made an enemy of Slade earlier this week ? confronting him and his cronies when they were vandalising the Drinks Divas van on Ramsay Street. He also bravely spoke to the police about what had happened.

Next week, Slade exacts his revenge by turning up at Erinsborough High to threaten JJ. When JJ later heads to the Lassiters complex with his younger brother Dex, menacing Slade appears again and attacks him.

In the aftermath, JJ urges Dex not to tell anyone about Slade's attack. He then decides to arm himself for any future confrontation and steals a sharp chef's knife from Harold's Caf?.

JJ's reckless actions spiral out of control when his mum Cara pays him a visit at school.

The troubled teen rushes to hide the knife, so he stashes it between the lockers and a wall in the school corridor. When Cara ushers him off to class, JJ leaves the knife behind.

Meanwhile, the Education Department pays a visit to Erinsborough High as part of the proposed merger with Terese Willis' planned retirement village.

There's bad news for Terese and Jane Harris when the Department raises various concerns, including a lack of deviation between the construction site and the school boundary.

Things only get worse when Curtis Perkins finds JJ's stashed knife in the corridor and orders an immediate school lockdown.

Dex assumes that the knife belongs to Slade, but will he discover the worrying truth about JJ's involvement?

JJ quickly confesses after his guilt gets the better of him.

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours' JJ Varga-Murphy will be punished after confessing to his knife secret next week.

New scenes will see the teenager arm himself with a knife as his war with Slade Westall escalates, notably after being attacked by the villain in the Lassiters complex during a visit with younger brother Dex.

JJ then steals the knife from Harold's Caf?, though is suddenly forced to hide the weapon between the school's lockers and corridor wall when his mum Cara turns up.

Things get riskier given the Education Department is visiting Erinsborough High due to the proposed merger with Terese Willis' planned retirement village, and sure enough the knife is discovered by Curtis Perkins, leading to an immediate lockdown.

In follow-on scenes set to air next Thursday (February 29), doubt grows over whether the weapon was brought in by the gang after discovering it is a commercial kitchen knife.

When Lana from the Department leaves, she is undecided about the consequences given the full story is unknown, and Jane is frustrated that Terese couldn?t be of more help.

Local police sergeant Andrew soon learns that the knife went missing from Harold's Caf? during the lunch rush, leading to JJ, Dex and Nell being interrogated as they were on the scene at the time.

While JJ initially covers, his guilt overpowers him and he later admits that he stole the knife. As a consequence, he receives a warning from Andrew and suspension from school.

Dex questions what will happen to Slade given he assaulted JJ, Andrew admitting bringing charges will be hard as there were no other witnesses. As such, JJ's fear of the villain persists.

Remi and Cara are forced to explain themselves when JJ finds out that they're responsible for his biological father cutting all contact with him.

Felix was arrested and sent back to jail earlier this month after breaking his parole conditions with his plan to steal expensive building supplies from the Eirini Rising development.

JJ was desperate for answers after finding out that Felix is his father. However, Remi secretly encouraged Felix not to play any further part in JJ's life, arguing that the schoolboy was better off without him.

Next week, JJ nervously awaits the final update over how he'll be punished for his own role in the robbery. His mums try to distract him with a family game of basketball, while his younger brother Dex pulls a sickie at school so that he can show support too.

JJ is grateful to have Dex back in his corner following weeks of tension between them.

In the end, JJ and his family learn that he has been granted 'diversion', which means that his punishment can be dealt with outside the court system and he won't have a criminal record.

JJ is relieved, but his mood turns sour when he gets another 'return to sender' letter after his latest attempt to contact Felix.

Believing they're alone, Remi and Cara praise Felix for sticking to his word and ignoring JJ's attempts to reach out. They're unaware that Dex can hear them talking about their secret scheme.

JJ confides in Dex about how much Felix's snubs are hurting him. Dex decides that he deserves to know the truth, so he explains that Remi and Cara influenced Felix's decision.

JJ wastes no time before confronting his mums, warning that he'll never forgive them. Can the family ever get past this?

Neighbours' Dex Varga-Murphy issues home truths in Felix story
Remi and Cara receive some advice...

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a60650702/neighbours-dex-varga-murphy-home-truths-felix/

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Dex Varga-Murphy issued some home truths on Neighbours, as the story with Felix Rodwell intensified.

Felix was arrested and sent back to jail earlier this month after violating his parole conditions, with his plan to steal building supplies backfiring.

Owing to his criminal past, Felix was advised by Remi and Cara to play no part in his son?s life, though JJ had expressed his enthusiasm to get to know his father.

Felix heeded Remi and Cara?s advice, leaving JJ devastated and feeling neglected. But there was a twist in the tale, as Dax overheard that the pair had influenced Felix?s decision, with the family at loggerheads ever since the discovery.

In next Tuesday?s (May 7) scenes, JJ is hurt as he doesn?t get the answers he was looking for, with both Remi and Cara defending their decision to keep Felix out of his life.

JJ goes to the family gym to channel his anger, with Andrew later lending him an ear as he sees the merits of each camp?s arguments.

After returning home, the family attempt another talk as they seek to reach a happy middle ground, but Remi and Cara refuse to budge on their position, leading JJ to storm off.

Cara and Remi later visit Andrew, who admits that he can see where all parties are coming from, though he reminds the pair that they have a duty to listen to JJ.

Andrew plainly states that Felix is a part of their lives whether they like it or not, leaving the mothers contemplating their decision and whether they should listen to what JJ is saying.

Will they continue to be immovable in their stance, or will the duo finally give in to JJ?s wishes?...

Neighbours confirms new villain for Remi and Cara story
Gavin makes sleazy remarks to Karl.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a60787276/neighbours-spoilers-gavin-remi-cara/

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours doctor Karl Kennedy reports some inappropriate behaviour on his last day of work at the Erinsborough Hospital next week.

Karl is leaving his position at the local hospital after receiving a better offer to become resident GP and wellness expert at the new Eirini Rising development.

Next week, Karl's final day arrives but he's disappointed when his colleagues don't make much of a fuss.

Karl is unaware that he's being played by his workmates and his wife Susan, who are all busy setting up a surprise farewell party at The Waterhole.

This all backfires when Karl arranges to go on a bike ride with Aaron Brennan, who isn't in the loop over the party plans.

Susan is forced to swoop in and recruit Aaron's help with luring Karl to The Waterhole 'for dinner'.

Karl is delighted when he's finally welcomed into the celebratory party. He loves the attention and makes a speech. During this, he warmly pays tribute to his neighbour Remi Varga-Murphy, who is being promoted to take over his position.

Shortly afterwards, Karl and Remi's colleague Dr Gavin Bowman speaks privately to Karl and seems far more unfiltered than usual amid the party setting.

Gavin tells Karl that he'd like to get physical with Remi and her wife Cara. The unprofessional comments make Karl feel extremely uncomfortable.

Karl decides to report Gavin's comments to HR, although he chooses not to tell Remi about what happened.

Gavin has appeared in several scenes recently after initially being introduced as Haz Devkar's doctor. Could this new story with Remi go further following Karl's complaint?

Neighbours reveals romantic twist for Dex after JJ's sacrifice
JJ realises that his brother also has feelings for Nell.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a61056212/neighbours-dex-nell-romantic-twist-jj-sacrifice/

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours has confirmed a new twist in the love triangle between brothers Dex and JJ Varga-Murphy and Nell Rebecchi, as JJ makes a big sacrifice.

With teens Nell and JJ both harbouring a secret crush on one another, neither of them has realised that Dex has been hiding his own romantic feelings for Nell.

In scenes that will air on Thursday, June 13 and Monday, June 17, Terese Willis finds herself in an awkward position when stepdaughter Nell asks her for advice on how to move beyond the friend zone with JJ.

Knowing that Nell's dad Toadie wouldn't approve of the situation, Terese tries to keep her advice vague and suggests to Nell that there's no harm in being honest about her feelings.

Meanwhile, JJ is seeking out Andrew Rodwell to get some romantic advice of his own, with Andrew suggesting that JJ should ask Nell out on a casual date to try to find out if she'd be interested in being more than friends.

Following his uncle's advice, JJ invites Nell to have lunch together and, when she agrees, he casually says "it's a date".

Later on, JJ accidentally throws out the anime drawings that Nell gave to Dex and is surprised by how panicked and angry his brother becomes when he finds the drawings crumpled up in the bin.

Suddenly, the penny drops for JJ - Dex also has a crush on Nell.

Dex admits that he thinks Nell could feel the same way, as she has visited him every day that he's been in hospital. JJ is crestfallen, as he knows that the real reason Nell has visited so often is because she wanted to spend more time with JJ.

As Dex grills JJ on whether he's heard Nell mention anyone else, JJ truthfully confirms that he hasn't - but he's secretly dismayed to find out how his brother really feels.

When JJ and Nell meet for their lunch date, Nell bravely reveals her true feelings as she references the 'date' that he asked her on, confirming that she likes him too.

Conflicted JJ feels forced to bury his own feelings for his brother's sake, as he claims that he only sees Nell as a best mate and that he doesn't want to ruin their friendship by trying to turn it into something more.

Broken-hearted Nell seeks out Terese to tell her everything, while guilty JJ seeks advice from Haz Devkar on how to navigate this unwanted love triangle. Haz suggests an easy and mature solution to JJ - he should tell Dex the truth about his and Nell's feelings for each other.

JJ takes his advice on board, but when he attempts to come clean to Dex, he can't get the words out. Instead, he commits himself to helping Dex woo Nell, as he gives him the manga drawing book that he'd planned on presenting to Nell himself.

Determined to put his brother first, devastated JJ watches on as Dex gives the gift to Nell and earns a hug and a maybe-date.

Will Dex discover the truth about JJ and Nell's feelings for each other?

Neighbours lines up baby storyline for Cara and Remi
Could their family expand?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a62521036/neighbours-spoilers-cara-remi-baby-story/

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours reveals Cara Varga-Murphy's secret desire for another baby next week.

Cara and her wife Remi discuss the possibility after their eldest son JJ makes a surprising discovery.

The Australian soap recently included mentions of how Cara writes letters to her future self on significant birthdays, allowing her to track the progress she's making in life.

Next week, JJ accidentally finds Cara's most recent letter, which she wrote to herself on her 40th birthday.

The milestone birthday was celebrated on screen in late August, as Ramsay Street's residents were seen throwing a party for Cara at the Rodwell house.

At the time, Cara agreed to let Sadie Rodwell give her a makeover and vowed to push herself out of her comfort zone more in the years ahead.

Taking a peek at the letter, JJ reads that it's Cara's dream to have another baby. Realising that his mums may need to talk, JJ hands over the letter to Remi.

Remi is also shocked as this isn't something that Cara has mentioned before. She approaches her wife and urges her to speak openly about how she feels.

Cara dismisses the baby reference as just a dream and not something she expects to make a reality, claiming that there are too many practical reasons why it's impossible.

Remi tries her best to remain open to the idea, although it's clear that she's hesitant to expand their family of four.

Cara reiterates that she has already made her peace with not having any more children so they don't need to discuss it further.

Of course, this is Soapland and these things rarely crop up for no reason, so has Remi really heard the last of it?

Neighbours character to make surprise baby offer
There's a new story twist for the Varga-Murphys.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a62673391/neighbours-spoilers-felix-cara-remi-offer/

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours returnee Felix Rodwell offers to help Remi and Cara Varga-Murphy extend their family next week.

The reformed criminal comes up with the surprising idea after learning that Remi and Cara have been talking about another baby.

Last week, Remi read the secret wishlist that Cara wrote for herself on her 40th birthday recently.

Cara mentioned her desire to have another child, which opened the door for her and Remi to tentatively start discussing the possibility.

Next week, the couple are further encouraged when the results of Cara's recent fertility test look promising for their chances.

Cara and Remi discuss the possibility of selling their planned New York trip to help pay for the IVF.

Their youngest son Dex overhears this and immediately applies for a job at Grease Monkeys, wrongly assuming that his expensive college course is the biggest factor affecting their finances.

Dex asks Felix for advice ahead of his job interview and later invites him to a Varga-Murphy family dinner, which has been organised to celebrate Cara's last day at university.

Dex makes out that Remi and Cara want Felix there, playing down the pair's ongoing discomfort around him.

JJ's girlfriend Nell Rebecchi also makes another surprise reappearance as Remi and Cara have reached out to Toadie and organised the visit.

During the dinner, JJ lets slip that Remi and Cara are considering whether to have another baby.

Felix responds by revealing that he'd be happy to donate his sperm if Remi and Cara do decide to go ahead with it.

After so many months of drama surrounding the revelation that Felix is JJ's biological father, how will the Varga-Murphys react to the possibility of more chaos and complications?

Neighbours death fears for Cara Varga-Murphy in shock Lassiters accident
Will she pull through?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a62833051/neighbours-spoilers-cara-death-fears/

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours airs a terrifying workplace accident for Cara Varga-Murphy next week.

Cara is rushed to hospital after a mishap involving Holly Hoyland at the Lassiters complex.

The worrying scenes play out as Cara's ever-increasing workload becomes difficult for her to deal with, forcing her to cut corners.

When Cara needs to fix some faulty guttering at the hotel, she skips vital safety precautions to save herself some time.

This has disastrous consequences when drama-prone Holly, who's working a late shift nearby, fails to secure a porter's trolley properly.

The trolley goes rolling towards the ladder while Cara is working, causing her to fall and crash hard on top of some jagged guttering.

With Cara left seriously injured, she's rushed off to Erinsborough Hospital while her wife Remi is on shift.

Remi tries to take control of the situation but notices that Cara's pulse is rapidly fading.

Examining the injuries more closely, Remi realises that Cara is bleeding out. Can she get Cara the help she needs before it's too late?

The emotional scenes come just as Cara and Remi have been looking forward to an exciting future as they plan to extend their family again.

Cara and Remi recently decided to have another baby together. They're currently considering the option of approaching a known sperm donor this time.

Shortly before the accident next week, Cara and Remi approach Aaron Brennan as a possibility ? aware that he'd originally planned to welcome another child before his husband David Tanaka died earlier this year.

Aaron is flattered by the couple's offer, but he explains that he won't get involved in their baby plans because he's a carrier for the Huntington's gene.

Although disappointed, Cara and Remi agree that it's still best to pursue the option of a known donor by asking somebody else instead. But with Cara's accident on the way, will they get that chance?

Neighbours reveals aftermath of Cara's shocking accident
There are emotional scenes at the hospital.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a62815560/neighbours-spoilers-cara-accident-aftermath/

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours airs some emotional hospital scenes next week as Remi Varga-Murphy fears for the life of her beloved wife Cara.

Cara's life hangs in the balance following a troubling accident in the Lassiters complex ? with Holly Hoyland once again at the centre of life-or-death chaos.

In tense scenes, Cara skips over some important safety precautions while carrying out repair work at the hotel. Holly then fails to secure a porter's trolley while on a night shift nearby.

The trolley rams into the ladder that Cara is working on top of, causing her to fall hard on top of some jagged guttering.

Cara is rushed to hospital, which coincides with Remi being on shift. Remi can't believe her eyes as Cara's pulse starts to fade and she realises that Cara may be bleeding out.

In follow-on scenes next week, Remi takes control of the situation by ordering her colleagues to get Cara into surgery as quickly as possible to stop the internal bleeding.

Remi's colleague Stevie encourages her not to attend surgery herself, arguing that she shouldn't have to witness a loved one being in such a bad way.

After an anxious wait for news, Remi is relieved to discover that Cara is stable following her surgery. However, when Stevie adds that Cara flatlined at one point in the operating theatre, it's a haunting reminder of how close Remi came to losing her.

The next morning, Remi continues to jump to worst-case conclusions when Cara briefly regains consciousness but appears to be in a catatonic state.

Remi speculates that Cara could have brain damage, but Stevie reminds her that there are other possibilities to explain it.

Sure enough, Cara regains consciousness for a second time and soon makes a quip that it's in her typical style. Is she already on the road to recovery?

Meanwhile, Holly gives herself a hard time over the incident as she struggles with her guilt.

Holly's boss Krista Sinclair and friend Sadie Rodwell insist that Cara's fall was nothing more than a freak accident, but Holly kicks herself for once again sparking problems in Erinsborough.

With her involvement in Heath Royce's death still playing on her mind, will Holly be able to move on from this latest setback?

Neighbours airs a worrying moment for Cara Varga-Murphy next week as she risks pushing too hard with her recovery.

Cara came close to losing her life after she fell from a ladder while doing repair work at the Lassiters complex in recent scenes.

There's a moment of relief for the Varga-Murphys next week when Cara is allowed to return home from the hospital.

Remi is delighted to have Cara back at Number 30, although she worries that her wife isn't resting as much as she should be following her major surgery.

Cara defends her approach by pointing out that she knows her own body. A more cautious Remi sticks to her guns, promising Cara that they can start to explore known donor options to extend their family as long as she agrees to rest properly.

Although Cara agrees, she later goes behind Remi's back by getting up in the night for a snack rather than asking for her help.

As Cara pushes hard to reach for a high cupboard, she suddenly feels a painful stab in her abdomen.

Cara's fresh agony continues the following morning, although she hides her accident from Remi.

Determined to handle things her own way, Cara takes too many painkillers and hopes that the situation will resolve itself.

Last week, Cara underwent an emergency hysterectomy due to complications arising from her recent ladder fall at Lassiters.

Afterwards, Remi worried over how Cara would feel about not being able to have any more children. Prior to the accident, the couple were in the early stages of conversations about asking a known donor to help them become parents again.

In the end, Cara breaks down and lets out the emotional anguish she feels over recent events.

Later, Cara points out that other options are still available ? including the possibility of Remi carrying a new baby.

Back with a bang.

Neighbours has confirmed that Remi and Cara Varga-Murphy will be back on Ramsay Street next week.

The couple haven't featured on the soap so far this year, as they flew off to the US for a family holiday with their sons JJ and Dex just before Christmas.

This week's episodes have seen JJ and Dex make their return to Erinsborough in time for the new school year starting. Their mums have stayed behind in New York as Cara has suffered a new health setback and needs time to recover.

Once they arrived back home, JJ and Dex discovered that their mischievous uncle Taye ? Remi's brother ? had been squatting at No.30.

Taye revealed that he'd needed a place to stay after facing a messy romantic situation back home in Apollo Bay. While Dex has embraced Taye's arrival, JJ has become concerned that he could be a bad influence.

Next week, the situation escalates as Taye suggests hosting a small gathering at the Varga-Murphy house.

JJ is uneasy over the idea and his worst fears are realised when more people turn up than planned, which leads to a full-blown party.

Although JJ tries his best to send the unwanted guests packing, his protests are ignored ? even by Taye and Dex, who are both drunk.

Taye announces that it's time for a skinny dip, just as Remi and Cara arrive home to find their house full of people.

Remi worries as her wife gets more attached to the new arrival.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a64272520/neighbours-remi-cara-baby-thomas-heartbreak/

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours' Remi and Cara Varga-Murphy will face a big hurdle in their relationship over the coming week, as the arrival of baby Thomas threatens to drive a wedge between them.

Cara and Remi's house has recently become more crowded, following the return of Cara's sister Chelsea Murphy with her new baby son, Thomas - whose dad has been confirmed as Paul Robinson.

With so much going on at home, Remi is excited to have a relaxing couples day planned with her wife so that they have some space to spend quality time together.

But their plans are derailed when Cara spots that Chelsea is struggling and offers to look after Thomas for the day so that Chelsea can rest. Remi hides her disappointment at losing her and Cara's romantic day together, wanting to protect Cara and Chelsea's feelings.

While the couple take care of Thomas, Remi can't help but notice that Cara seems to be acting very territorially towards the baby.

Chelsea spots this too, but she seems to be happy that Cara is so invested in her new nephew. Remi, however, is filled with concern about Cara's behaviour.

The following week, Cara and Remi head out for a walk and bump into Gino Esposito. When Gino makes the assumption that little Thomas is their son, Remi is shocked when Cara acts as if he's correct.

Later on, horrified Remi confronts her wife about how she's been acting around Thomas, pointing out that she's been possessive and acting as if the baby is hers.

Upset Cara doesn't take the accusations well, but she later admits to Remi that she's still struggling to deal with the fact that she has had to undergo a hysterectomy, which means that she won't have any more biological children.

Remi assures Cara that she will always be there for her and wants to help her through this, but Cara isn't convinced that she'll be able to overcome her feelings. Will the couple be able to get past this latest setback?

Plus, with Chelsea now back in town, could she stir up more trouble for the couple? While Neighbours' executive producer Jason Herbison has told Digital Spy that "Chelsea is trying to be a better person", he has also teased that "there are still some big twists ahead in the storyline".

Neighbours airs these scenes on Thursday, March 27 and Monday, March 31.
