A peak of almost 8 million viewers tuned in for the finale last night, according to early figures.
The first show, broadcast at 8.30pm, averaged 6.34 million and a 29.5% audience share, peaking with 6.9 million (31.6%) for Kinga's eviction.
The climactic 10pm show averaged 6.63 million (34.3%) and a peak of 7.8 million (43.4%) for the big announcement.
"We are thrilled that Big Brother has once again been such a fantastic success," said Angela Jain, commissioning editor at C4. "It is a show that consistently reinvents itself. We look forward to seeing it back on our screens next Summer."
