Havent noticed a board like this yet, so I thought I would create one for us to vent our ideas :D

If you were a writer on EE, how would you revive the soap?

What storylines, new characters would you like to see?

Also, are there any actors who you would like to see in EE?

i would get rid of a few casts which are:
Little Mo
The Mitchells
and replace them with new casts.
Get Chrisse off the hook and live with Jake and hopefully they should get maried and have kids.

Get Chrissie to win her court case on grounds of self defence. Keep her in the show and put Grant and Chrissie together as a couple. Recast Stephen Beale to come back as a sexy wideboy, move him in with Pat to stir up trouble with new relation Deano.
Bring back Michele because her son Mark is sick and needs a life saving operation. The donor can only be Marks real father therefore disclosing her secret that Grant is the dad.Let Sharon find out too.

you speak holly words lilnick, all that sounds superb, i was discussing the return of stephan beale only recently to a soapboards regular, and it seems logical to bring him back as part of this sex up plans.

i also say phil and grant kidnap bobby and ian has no choice but to sign over the cafe and the arches back to the mitchells, then the mitchells put ian into intensive care, meaning kathy has no option but to return, and she has a big slanging match to end all slanging matches in the pub with all the mitchells. Ian dies, and a blonde bombshell from the past hears of this, cindy beale returns, shes been on a witness protection scheme for numerous years living with wicky in new zelanad, she's back for her kids Peter and Lucy, Pauline and Kathy are adament that she wont have them, a custody battle looms, and in this time Wicksy comes back to offer her support, and so returns also Stephan who beds Dawn, Stacey and Naomi. Stacey becomes pregnant and Big Mo and Charlie are after Stephan for it. Stacey moves out and rents a flat with Ruby.

Jonny proposes to Tina and they are set for a christmas wedding but it ends in tears when Danny kidnaps Tina, and then Ruby, Ruby learns that Tina started the fire that killed Stephanie and Scarlet and shoots dead Tina. Jonny arrives and presumes that Danny shot her and shoots him dead, Jake grasses him up to the police and Jonny is sent down for murder. Charlie attempts to woe Peggy once more, and to his delight she decides they should have a relationship, but at their engadment party her toyboy lover from Brazil comes back to stir up a bit of trouble, but the Slater girls soon scare him off.

Grant is now back and he really wants to be back with Sharon, a drunken kiss builds up his hopes, he wants her! Phil informs him that Dennis killed Jack Dalton and Grant informs the police of this, Dennis goes down for this, a distarught Sharon goes to the USA to live with Michelle. They both retuyrn tough when Mark Jnr is seriosuly ill and needs bone marrow, she stays for a bit, in which time Pauline convinces her she should stay in Walford. Martin, Pualine, Ian and the twins arent donors and Michelle has to admit the truth to Grant about Mark Jnr's parentage, it shocks the Fowler and Mitchell familys, and Sharon and Michelle have a bitch fight, they become mortal enemies. When Michelle's yank hubby hears that Mark Jnr isnt his he divorces her. And with Dennis out of the way Sharon tries to get back with Grant, and Michelle also wants Grant and they fight like cat and dog over him.

im got loads more ideas but ill leave it at that for now

I dont think EE will ever be axed and I dont think it needs saved......

just restored to its former glory of being britains number 1 soap!

I agree, there are lots of great storylines coming up.

But, with a huge number of actors leaving around the same time this will inevitably cause some problems....

Theres a few returning though and some new ones comming in so I think they will be ok

Im not so sure......

Not all of the old faces are signed up long term and the new characters can sometimes take a while settle in. All depends on the writers I suppose....

People do go a bit ott when talking about the possibility of EE being axed (it will never happen!) but I just think a lot of the recent storylines have been a little bland. And the bits I tune in for involve characters who are leaving.....

I think its the papers who do the overexaggerating and others just follow.....

If I read another story about falling ratings, EE being overtaken by Emmerdale (as if!!) or "why EE should take a leaf out of corrie's book".

and while I think that a lot of actors leaving around the same time is a slight problem, the papers have a field day about behind the scenes fighting/jealousy/actors being sacked blah blah etc etc...

Hhhmmm, I still dont see EE being axed - I mean although EE is a little ratings-shy right now, it will never be on a par with brookie or fa....

These soaps were struggling to pull in one million, while EE is consistently acheiving ratings of 10 plus million....

I know lots of actors are leaving and the storylines are a bit rubbish at the moment... but its not that bad, is it??

Amazing.....your ideas are very much as mine. I wrote some time ago on the EE website exactly the same story about Cindy Beale's return!!

Hi

I would:

1. Let Shannis marry.
2. Let Sam go to prison.
3. Make Jae return and hrissie confess t him how she killed Den and framed Sam, as Jake is wanted as an accesory to Danny's crime and because he wants to avoid Johnny they can run away together.
4. Get Chrissie to sign the whole pub over to Shannis.
5. at would be questioned as the police are searching for Zoe as a wittness to Sam's supposed crime. Then Kat would join daughter Zoe after Molfie declares itself.
6. Bring back Mel and Lisa with Louise, and Mel's baby.
7. Bring back Lynne and introduce Belinda and her huband Neville.
8. Bring back Vicki with a great new storyline.

I'd also introduce these storylines.

1. Sharon's pregnancy - I know shes infertile but there is still a slim chance.
2. Vicki's return with a drugs storyline.
3. Molfie together finally - a decision that splits the Slaters.
4. Kat's departure along with the return of Lynne.
5. A really oving storyline for Bellinda and Neville (terminal illness or someting) while Lynne and Garry go through divorce.
6. Lisa and Mel board in the Vic until w can find them good storylines.

What about Mel telling Pauline that Lisa shot Phikl and as revenge for what Lisa did to Mark, Paulin telling the police which means Lisa goes down fr attempted murde ad is questioned over Phil's whereabouts.

Improve EE by axing some of the overpaid writers, spend less money wooing has-beens back and develop some of the decent characters that are already there
