Precisely my reaction! I really don't see the point of bringing Frank back. He was a great character in his day, but now he has no family to go back to, it seems silly. Janine isn't even going to be featured in the episodes, which is the reason why he is supposedly coming back to the square, for her trial.

But Frank isn't here to stay, he's only back for a short time while Janine's trial takes place (which we don't see). I think it would be great if he got back together with Pat, but it's obvious that's not going to be a permanent arrangement because she's staying and he's going.

The only thing I'm quite looking forward to is the arguments between him and Peggy, plus him and Pat. They are both 2 very strong women, they carry out great scenes.

Me too, but I don't think they should bring old characters back just for the sake of it. If they have planned good storylines then it will be good. But I just didn't see the point of all those spin off episodes in Spain. It got really boring for me. I don't know if anybody else agrees.

Mike Reid was great as Frank and he was a good character but whats the reason for EE to bring him back.
