Robbie Williams is in talks to secure the opening gig at the new Wembley stadium.
The star is keen to play a series of five nightly concerts in June next year, however dates have not yet been confirmed as there are fears that the stadium may not be ready on time.
A spokesman told The Mirror, "A few musicians are discussing possible dates with us but we can confirm that Robbie Williams is particularly keen to perform and discussions are ongoing.
"Clearly only well-established acts like Robbie will be able to fill such a space, but he has already demonstrated that ability."
