EastEnders has confirmed the date and details of a special episode for King Charles III's coronation.
The soap will continue its long tradition of acknowledging key events for the royal family with an episode dedicated to the coronation on Monday, May 1 ? ahead of the actual event that weekend.
The residents of Walford will come together to throw a massive coronation party in honour of King Charles and Queen Camilla.
The BBC has teased that viewers can expect to see "the community spirit of Walford at an all-time high" as the Albert Square residents vow to put their troubles behind them for this special occasion.
However, EastEnders fans know that trouble is never far from Walford, so it remains to be seen whether or not the celebration will go off without a hitch.
This special episode comes just over a year after King Charles and Queen Camilla paid a personal visit to Walford on screen to tour the Square for the late Queen Elizabeth II's jubilee.
Their visit included emotional scenes of Linda Carter getting to fullfil a lifelong dream of meeting the royals, while Queen Camilla honoured the life of Chantelle Atkins following her murder at the hands of her abusive husband.
The royal family has a long connection with EastEnders, with the late Queen Elizabeth II having famously visited the set in 2001 for a guided tour of Walford with soap legends Dame Barbara Windsor and Wendy Richard.
Dame Barbara also represented EastEnders for the diamond jubilee in 2012 when she attended a royal tea party with the Queen at Buckingham Palace.
The royals have also been at the forefront of Walford social life with a bust of Queen Victoria inside the pub named after the monarch.
