Coronation Street killer Stephen Reid is confronted by Michael Bailey next week after his latest lies backfire.
The Weatherfield villain is facing yet another difficult dilemma after threats from sleazy businessman Rufus Donahue.
Rufus has figured out that Stephen drove Carla Barlow out of Underworld by secretly spiking her drinks with LSD.
Side-effects from the drugs caused Carla to worry that her psychosis was returning, so she has taken an extended break from the factory. Her staff, who are also shareholders in the business, have since voted for Stephen to take over as boss.
Using this knowledge as leverage, Rufus has ordered Stephen to cancel his planned American deal for the Nippersnapper range. Rufus wants to secure the American rights to the products himself.
In upcoming scenes, Stephen lies to the factory staff by promising that the existing deal with the American clients is still on track.
Stephen makes out that there's one last meeting to finalise the American deal that afternoon.
Michael, who has been shadowing Stephen to learn the ropes, checks his boss's diary and is worried to find no mention of the meeting.
Later in the week, Michael shows his newest Nippersnapper designs to his uncle Ronnie.
Michael explains that he hopes to persuade the American clients to get back on board, after Stephen told him that they'd pulled out.
After speaking to one of the clients, Michael is baffled to learn that Stephen knowingly cancelled the deal.
Michael demands to know why Stephen did this and why he has been lying about it. Can Stephen come up with another cover story?

Coronation Street's Amy Barlow reports Aaron Sandford to the police next week, after receiving support from her parents Steve and Tracy.
Amy has been suffering in silence over the past few weeks after Aaron raped her following a night out.
In next week's episodes, Amy confides in Tracy after Aaron gives his girlfriend Summer Spellman a false version of what happened.
The story moves forward after Summer reads a text to Amy on Aaron's phone, which suggests that they should put everything behind them.
Summer questions what the message is referring to. Aaron says that, following their own break-up, he had a one-night stand with Amy.
Making out that it was consensual, Aaron tells Summer that he and Amy both now regret it.
Summer confronts Amy, who bursts into tears and explains that her friend has got it all wrong.
Once alone with Tracy, an emotional Amy confides in her mum about how Aaron raped her at the share flat when she'd passed out drunk.
Steve and Tracy both encourage Amy to report Aaron to the police. Tracy then accompanies her daughter down to the station.
Later in the week, Summer remains angry with Amy after believing Aaron's lies.
Summer confronts Amy in the street, ordering her to apologise for sleeping with Aaron.
Amy responds by explaining that she didn't consent to sex with Aaron and has already reported him to the police. Summer accuses her of lying, but Amy points out that the police are taking the case seriously.
Sadly, events take an upsetting turn for Amy when DS Swain asks some difficult questions after scrutinising her phone.
Amy struggles as the line of questioning wrongly makes her feel like the guilty party. Will the police proceed with her case?
Elle Mulvaney, who plays Amy, recently spoke about the ideal outcome for her character as the storyline continues.
Elle told Digital Spy and other media: "I think Amy wants a sense of justice. Aaron admitting it is the main thing that she wants, but then if he gets a criminal charge as well, then that would mean that it's been proven and he's guilty.
"Most importantly, Amy wants Aaron to know what he's done is wrong, because in her head, the worries are: 'Is he going to do this to somebody else? Has he already done this to Summer?' There's lots of things going through her head."
Asked how Steve and Tracy react, Elle replied: "Steve and Tracy love Amy ? she's their world. So they are going to be heartbroken when they find out. That will manifest in different ways between them both, because they don't know what to do and it's out of their hands.
"All they'll do is try to get justice for Amy. It's a question of trying to support her in the best way ? and whether Amy agrees or not whether their way is the best way. The Barlows do what the Barlows do! Sometimes they go off the rails when Amy doesn't want them to."
MONDAY

Ryan goes into the pub for Daisy but they?re shocked to find Justin lurking there. He advances on Daisy holding a glass full of clear liquid and telling her that no one will want her after this ? he throws acid in her face. Will Daisy be okay?
Adam gives Amy a friendly and reassuring squeeze as she stands awkwardly in her bridesmaid dress but when she flinches it doesn?t go unnoticed by Simon.
However, when he tries to broach the subject to help, Amy snaps at him and Tracy clocks their exchange. Will Tracy confront Amy?

Tracy?s horrified as she describes how she passed out drunk and Aaron took advantage of her. Heartbroken, Steve and Tracy urge her to report him to the police. With Tracy for support, Amy enters the police station and says she wants to report a rape. Will Aaron be arrested?
Stephen lies to the factory staff, assuring them he?s got a meeting to finalise the American deal this afternoon.
Having consulted Stephen?s diary, Michael demands to know why there?s no mention of the meeting with the Americans. Can he lie his way out of trouble again?
Knowing life will never be the same again, a devastated Daisy struggles to deal with the aftermath of Justin?s violent attack.
