At the hospital, Jack and Denise are told that Amy will have to see a psychiatrist before she can be discharged. Sam confronts Kim, Howie and Chelsea about Ricky Jnr having to deal with Amy's accident by himself. Jack tries to speak to Ricky, but he decides that he'd rather spend time with his mum.

Later, Amy asks Denzel if they can get back together.

Meanwhile, Whitney and Stacey both coincidentally arrive at the pharmacy to buy pregnancy tests. They purchase the last remaining pack of two and take the tests together. Later, Whitney confides in Chelsea that she's pregnant with Zack's baby.

Elsewhere, Sonia breaks down while looking through a box of Dot's belongings with Martin.

Whitney tries to tell Zack that she's pregnant, but she's hurt when he receives a call from a random fling and starts flirting. Whitney tells Chelsea that she fears Zack is too much of a player to be a good father to her baby.

Stacey is amused when Jean thinks she's pregnant, so she sets the record straight by telling her about Whitney. Jean is sworn to secrecy, but accidentally lets the truth slip to Zack when she mistakenly thinks that he already knows. Zack's reaction isn't a positive one, fuelled by fear and his difficult childhood.

Meanwhile, Kim throws a surprise family dinner following the news that Jack will be reinstated at work. Amy ends up storming off following a tactless moment from Kim.

Elsewhere, Janine's worry increases when she finds out that Mick and Linda plan to buy Ollie's Christmas presents together, but she's pleased to later receive some good news.

Also today, Alfie and Freddie convince Sharon to give them sponsorship money for the panto.

Whitney celebrates her 30th birthday and confides in Finlay and Felix about her pregnancy. The brothers promise Whitney that they'll help her to raise the child, whether Zack is around or not.

Later, Whitney goes off to speak to Zack.

Meanwhile, Sonia listens to Dot's tape ahead of the funeral and becomes emotional when she hears her voice. When Whitney, Dotty and Jack learn that Dot's body has arrived at Number 25 and that Sonia is keeping a vigil, they head over there to support her.

Elsewhere, Denise is hurt and angry when Jack forgets to pick up Raymond because he's so distracted over Amy. Things get worse when Jack refuses to attend Whitney's party with Denise.

Also today, Kat refuses to join Alfie's panto and also bans him from including their boys in the show.
