Sound does not work

Ok as ive mentioned already my comp had a major virus everything had to be re-installed, but my sound is not working, speakers are correctly plugged in and everything is enabled but i get the message up saying "there are no mixer devices available" tells me to install them through controll panel > click printers and other hardware (which isnt even there) > add hardware

Can anyone help?

I can't help you with this but I do advice you to save your files onto disk's and then clan your whole computer out... fully... this will get rid of the virus. After you do this then install 2 - 3 virus prgrams and then you can move anything on your disk back to yuor computer or a safe way just to leave them on your disk unless they are very important files or main files you can use on your cleaned computer.

I spoke to Dell on the phone for like 2 hours and it was taking ages, they think it was due to the re-installment of the computer that the audio device didnt get installed, so basically he was telling me i had to start over again. But its my mums comp and i didnt really wanna start over again considering we had a computer expert in and we had paid him i would have though he had done his job properly. So ive gotta wait for my mum to speak to him again! Such a pain
