Jessica Simpson has promised fans that she will be sticking to light-hearted movie roles.

The Dukes of Hazzard actress is reluctant to sign up for more serious roles because she would rather make people happy.

"I'm gonna stick to romantic comedies," eecho.ie quotes Simpson as saying. "I'm all about people enjoying that hour and a half, and walking out with a smile. I'm not going for an Oscar!"
