Louise Marwood Joins as Camilla

Louise Marwood is set to join the cast of Coronation Street later this year.

The actress, who played Chrissie White on Emmerdale, will take on the explosive role of Phill Whittaker ex-wife Camilla on the soap.

Coronation Street has unveiled a first look at former Emmerdale star Louise Marwood as newcomer Camilla.

Ahead of Fiz Stape and Phill's wedding next week, the latter's ex-wife Camilla turns up on the cobbles ? and it looks like she's set to shake things up a bit.

In the new scenes, Fiz and Phill are taken aback when Camilla arrives just days before their wedding, with Phill's ex stepping out of a car and introducing herself to Fiz.

Phill is baffled by her decision to come, though assures Fiz that he can't wait to marry her and that his ex poses no threat to them.

However, Fiz feels obliged to invite Camilla to the hen night later in the week, and things get awkward during a game of Mr and Mrs, as it proves that Camilla knows Phill far better than Fiz does. Camilla also declares that her and Phill are in love and that he wants her back.

Fiz decides to confront Phill about apparent emails that he sent to Camilla, though he insists that he hasn't sent any. Eyes then turn to Phill's mum Mimi over the emails, and he banishes her from the house and the wedding as a result.

Is Mimi really behind the emails, or is someone else trying to frame Phill?

Marwood is perhaps best known for playing the role of Chrissie White on Emmerdale between 2014 and 2018.
