Two men were able to breach security at George Clooney's Italian villa by pressing the intercom and saying "Ciao - it's George", The Mirror claims today.
Tim Grobben and Ben Stinkens, who were drunk at the time, used the intercom as a joke. They were not spotted by any surveillance equipment during the incident.
A housekeeper eventually found the jokers, who were taken to a police station and later released. Clooney will be asked to decide whether to press charges.
Davide Bartulli, the pair's lawyer, explained, "They pressed the intercom as a joke and were amazed when the gate slid open."
