Emmerdale beat EastEnders in both share and viewers last night, quite an achievement for the yorkshire soap.

"Elsewhere yesterday, ITV1's Emmerdale made it five straight audience share victories over EastEnders - and also attracted more viewers than the BBC1 soap.

Emmerdale was watched by 8 million viewers and attracted a 46% audience share between 7pm and 7.30pm.

EastEnders attracted 7.7 million viewers and a 41% audience share."

That quiet surprises me that Emmerdale beat EE this week, considering the Leo and Demi storyline. Still love Emmerdale more though

Still surprises me as i thought EE was great last week especially Fridays epI don't like the storyline with Demi and Leo so I wasn't that keen but I enjoyed Fridays. Yes it is a surprise but I don't think it's anything long term as it's been back to normal since :)

I think they beat them on Friday the 5th so it wasn't the Friday Leo died?
Since then we've had a week and now we've started the third week of August, Monday the 15th...

It's very confusing.

I agree IMHO it's whether or not I enjoy the show etc that's important.

The sad thing is some programmes get cancelled due to low ratings. That's the only reason I can think of that they're important.
