Neighbours will see a surprise passion for Ned Willis and Harlow Robinson.

The two characters get close after finding themselves lost during the River Bend holiday, amid the drama with Gareth Bateman taking Freya Wozniak hostage.

When Ned (Ben Hall) and Harlow (Jemma Donovan) hear gunshots and are worried about Levi Canning, they set off to find their friend. They grab a map but fail to notice it accidentally dropping to the ground.

The area has no phone reception, either.

In scenes airing next week in the UK on Channel 5, Amy Greenwood (Jacinta Stapleton) is shaken by what she and David Tanaka (Takaya Honda) stumbled across at River Bend ? with Aaron Brennan fighting for his life, Levi shot in the arm, and Gareth dying.

She wants to see Ned, but concern grows when both he and Harlow have not returned.

Ned and Harlow are still completely lost at River Bend, and decide to look for shelter and wait for help. They end up at a waterfall, where things get steamy. They grow closer and move in to kiss...

Amy, hoping to resume her relationship with Ned, convinces Toadie Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney) to help search for him. At River Bend, the search party tries to locate the missing Ned and Harlow before sunset.

After the drama is over and Ned and Harlow return to Erinsborough, Amy is left wondering what Ned wants as he holds off on giving an immediate answer.

Ned ends up telling a stunned Kyle about what happened between him and Harlow, and is conflicted by how to respond to Amy.

Amy's daughter Zara Selwyn (Freya Van Dyke), whose arrival was the reason why Amy and Ned took a break in the first place, tries to convince Ned to get back together with Amy. But Ned still isn't sure ? until he's surprised by Amy's romantic gesture.

Ned's feelings for Amy are reignited, and despite Harlow's attempts to change his mind, he and Amy are back together.

Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, March 14, Tuesday, March 15, Wednesday, March 16 and Thursday, March 17 at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK). The scenes air on Wednesday, March 30, Thursday, March 31, Monday, April 4 and Tuesday, April 5 at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours has confirmed details of a death that will air on UK screens this week.

The Aussie soap is about to screen a high-stakes week of episodes, as several Ramsay Street favourites find themselves in danger during the River Bend trip.

Freya Wozniak's missing boyfriend Gareth Bateman makes his first appearance this week, played by former Winners & Losers actor Jack Pearson.

As we recently revealed, Gareth's presence on the trip will lead to terrible danger as he holds Freya (Phoebe Roberts) hostage, injures Levi Canning (Richie Morris) and brutally beats up Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson).

However, the show has now confirmed that as next week's episodes begin, Gareth has died after his reign of terror caught up with him.

After some surprising events during the trip, David Tanaka (Takaya Honda) is seen reeling from Gareth's death, finding it difficult to contain his guilt when he returns to Erinsborough.

Freya tries to remind David that Gareth was never going to survive what happened, but it does little to reassure him as he struggles to live with himself.

Later in the week, David finds himself haunted by memories of Gareth.

Freya also worries when she hears that the official coroner's investigation into Gareth's death isn't over, which means she and David will have to be interviewed again.

Freya is well aware of how guilty David feels and she worries about how he'll cope under so much scrutiny.

What does David have to hide and will he crack under the pressure? And was Gareth the sole casualty of River Bend? All will be revealed in the coming days.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Apparently a few members of the cast ( characters Karl, Susan, Mackenzie & Hendrix) have filmed scenes in Sydney at Bondi Beach, which will include the re-appearance of (the original) Pierce Greyson (Tim Robards) & Hendrix's mum Lisa Rowsthorn (Jane Allsop). Also I understand that Esther Anderson, who played cop, Charlie, In H&A has also confirmed she will be joining the cast.

Elsewhere, desperate to see Ned and tell him how she feels, Amy enlists Toadie to join the search party with her. They head back to River Bend and comb the vast wilderness. Will they find Harlow and Ned before the sun sets?

Zara pleads her mother's case, while Harlow tells him he deserves better. He has to give Amy an answer, but what is he going to say?

Even though he kissed her, Ned's not sure he wants to be with Amy... that is, until she delivers a dazzling romantic surprise and reignites his feelings for her.

Meanwhile, haunted by memories of Gareth and terrified for Aaron, David's in a bad way.

To make matters worse, Dean's urging him to tell Aaron about their kiss. David tries to shake it off, but he can't keep all his secrets in forever.

David confronts Dean, furious that he told Aaron about their kiss. Unbelievably, he insists he was only trying to help.

David has no choice but to report Dean's inappropriate behaviour, leading to the beginning of a bitter grudge.

Meanwhile, Glen's mind is still on Kiri, and he finally confesses to shocked Terese that Kiri is his daughter. Fearing the truth would only bring pain, he decides to keep it secret? but he can't deny his longing for a bond with his long-lost daughter.

Elsewhere, Freya's blindsided to hear the coronial investigation into Gareth's death isn't over ? she and David must be interviewed again. Aware of his guilt, she's anxious about him reliving the nightmare under a microscope. Will he crack under the pressure?

Home and Away star Esther Anderson has teased her undisclosed role in fellow soap Neighbours.

Fans will of course recognise the star for portraying Charlie Buckton on the seaside-set Australian soap, which she played for five years between 2008 and 2013.

Nearly a decade after her departure, however, she is set to swap Summer Bay for Ramsay Street in a mystery part ? and she's teased her appearance in an Instagram post.

Taking to her page, Esther posted a snap of a T-shirt in the window depicting a rainbow, accompanied by the words "everyone is welcome on Ramsay St".

"Thanks for the warm welcome @neighbours," she captioned the post. "Happy I get to play a little part in this iconic show!! #ramsaystreet #celebratingneighbours."

The actress has received a warm reception from some Neighbours stars, with David Tanaka actor Takaya Honda writing a simple "welcome" on her post.

Fellow Home and Away and Neighbours guest star Christie Hayes shared a series of heart and clapping hands emojis.

Digital Spy has reached out to Neighbours for further comment on her role.

Esther joining Neighbours comes following the news that the soap will be ending this summer after 37 years on air, which itself comes after Channel 5's decision to drop the show and the series being unable to find an alternative broadcaster.

The soap has already mapped out an ending, however, and the show has assured fans that it will be "celebratory" rather than tragic.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 and streams on My5. In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach and streams on 10 Play.
