As the other Housemates practiced their rodeo tasks and chatted in the living room, Derek took a prolonged afternoon nap.
Poor old Eugene was left to prowl the garden alone in his cowboy costume as his partner refused to make an appearance.
Makosi and Craig have noted Derek's withdrawal from the group and attribute his unfriendly behaviour to being up before the public vote once again.
"He wanted to be friendly with people until final nominations," Makosi said. "Now he doesn't want to know."

Both Craig and Makosi have noticed that, since the nominations were announced, Derek has been unwilling to get stuck into the washing and vacuuming as per usual.
"Now he just wants to sleep," Makosi said.
When Derek finally made an appearance, his mood was less than brilliant.
"I don't want to know about the orange thing on the end of the gun, what I want to know is why it doesn't work when I use it," he snapped at Eugene, when he tried to help him hone his rifle skills.
Oh dear, it's only another nomination Derek. Surely you're used to them by now...
