Spencer Moon

I know what the real reasons for the non-return of the character Spencer Moon are, but, in the context of Eastenders, it would seem hard to justify his non-return. Alfie sent him away to protect him from the "gangster" goings-on of Jake and Danny, but now they've gone, surely Spencer would want to come back to be with Alfie and his Nana. The only way they can deal with this is not to mention him at all now.

There's also the point that from the point of Andy's death to the point of the fire Jake and Danny were as harmless as kittens. I think they're just going to hope that we've forgotten why Spencer went, or put it next to the reason why Michelle didn't attend her own brother's funeral. :p

Or maybe Spencer has realised how wonderful it is to be away from Alfie and now he never wants to go back. :lol:

You could be right there. Perhaps he's fed up with Kalfie and Molfie too!

He dosen't know about Molfie does he? Or Kat being back? Maybe he likes staying with Maxwell. Thats the only way I can think of that would justify his non reurn on screen.

Spencer leaving storyline was a bit lame but we know he wouldn't really come back in real life if he wanted too.

Michelle didn't attend her brothers funeral because he asked her not to and he'd already said goodbye.

I thought the leaving story was a bit lame as well, they could have given him a bit more justice

They had to write Spencer out quickly but surely the exit could have been better. It was the same with Kat's departure last year. Although Jessie Wallace had to take early maternity leave which meant that the planned exit couldn't go ahead, surely the writers could have done better than turning her character to drink.

it wouldn't make sence if he didn't come back. Maybe she gets buired elsewhere and they dont show it on tv and just say he was there

If nana is buried on-screen in Walford then he MUST return for the funeral if he doesn't then it won't make any sense although I could do without him turning up although would accept it if he did because he has to.

I don't want him back to stay or anything though because he's awful. I agree about the lame exit storyline but to be fair they didn't have a lot to work with because he'd just stopped filming due to personal problems and so they had to write him out the best way they could.

Ahh well atleast they'd be a good excuse for him staying away! He wouldn't want to come anywhere near Johnny would he?

True. They should keep Johnny around just for that -- just think as soon as Johnny leaves, Danny has no reason to stay away. (Was a fan of Danny, but don't want him back. That makes sense in my head.)
