As Superintendent Adam Okaro (Cyril Nri) continues his bereavement leave, Acting Superintendent Amanda Prosser (Serena Gordon) arrives at Sun Hill. She makes a good impression on DC Jo Masters (Sally Rogers) and DS Phil Hunter (Scott Maslen) by allowing them to investigate Customs and Excise Officer, Clive Darlow, which in turn, leads to his arrest. But has Inspector Gina Gold (Roberta Taylor) finally met her match in this seemingly tough cookie?
DS Phil Hunter visits estranged wife Cindy (Jaqueline Defferary) with their divorce papers for her to sign. He confesses that he wants to marry Kate, (Tamsin Skan) a girl he got pregnant after meeting at a sex-addict clinic. Cindy later brings the signed papers to the station where she bumps into Phil’s brother, PC Steve Hunter (James Lloyd), and is astounded when Steve admits to recently sleeping with Kate. Will she drop this bombshell on Phil?
Wednesday 17th August
During her first day back after the rape, Sergeant June Ackland (Trudie Goodwin) is horrified to be tasked with a date-rape case. She manages to deal with the tough situation despite her colleagues mollycoddling.
PC Yvonne Hemmingway (Michele Austin) is determined to admit to Gina she assaulted a drunk the night before. But PC’s Honey Harman (Kim Tiddy) and Tony Stamp (Graham Cole) convince her otherwise and decide to destroy any CCTV evidence of the attack. Will this make matters worse for her up-coming trial?
DC Zain Nadir (TJ Ramani) and PC Dan Casper (Chris Jarvis) are stunned to discover Sergeant Dale Smith’s (Alex Walkinshaw) antics with Louise Larson (Rosie Marcel) after finding them in a hotel together. Zain warns Smithy if Louise’s notorious husband, gangster Pete Larson (Graham McTavish), finds out he is sleeping with his wife, he is a dead man…

Concerned for Sergeant Smithy’s (Alex Walkinshaw) safety, DC Zain Nadir (TJ Ramani) introduces him to an informant who has had two fingers chopped off by Pete Larson (Graham McTavish). Zain warns Smithy that if Larson ever found out that he is sleeping with his wife, he’ll end up with more than his fingers hacked off. Worried for his life, Smithy tells Louise he loves her but reluctantly ends the affair, leaving her devastated.
Having discovered his brother PC Steve Hunter (James Lloyd) had sordid sex with his pregnant wife-to-be, DS Phil Hunter (Scott Maslen) ends his engagement to Kate. Phil confronts Steve and beats him to a pulp. Has Phil gone to far this time?
As her trial nears, PC Yvonne Hemmingway (Michele Austin) finds out that the drunk she recently assaulted has been called to give evidence against her. Tearful Yvonne tells Tony she is sure the prosecution have enough evidence to lock her away for a long time…
Dressed up to the nines, bickering PC’s Honey Harman (Kim Tiddy) and Amber Johannsen (Myfanwy Waring) are paired up and sent to find the person responsible for two date-rape GHB incidents. Foolishly, Amber puts herself at risk trying to catch the suspect and is almost viciously attacked herself. An enraged Inspector Gina Gold (Roberta Taylor) blames the mistake on the long-standing hostility between the two girls and insists they make the effort to get along from now on.
