Kat realises that she needs to be honest with Tommy, so she tells him that Alfie isn't his biological dad ? his late uncle Michael was. Tommy is shocked to learn that Scarlett is his sister and this makes him more determined that they need to help her.
Later, Kat arrives at the courthouse and tells the social worker that she'd like to become Scarlett's carer. She adds that it'd be for the best if Scarlett never sees her real mum again.
Meanwhile, Jean realises that Ruby didn't tell Martin the truth while she was away. Jean also discovers that the marijuana in the garage didn't die while she was away ? it has grown more than ever, leaving her with a predicament.
Elsewhere, Gray sends Shirley a fake text from Tina, making out that she wants money.
Also today, a familiar face makes an unexpected appearance.
Finally, Sharon needs some convincing that she has done the right thing.

Just as Kat is about to tell Scarlett the truth about Tommy, there's a shock as Janine bursts in for the hearing. Janine gives her testimony, claiming that she has redeemed herself over the years.
Later, Janine arrives at The Vic and takes on the locals by telling them what she thinks of them all. This fuels Kat's desire to get Scarlett away from Janine.
Meanwhile, Ruby fears that Jean has told Martin everything, but soon realises that this isn't the case. As Martin continues to worry about Jean's health, Jean summons Shirley to the garage and begs for her help.
Elsewhere, Gray hopes his scheming will pay off as he tries to persuade Shirley that Tina needs the money more than ever.
Also today, Linda fears that Rainie might figure out the truth.
Finally, Zack meets a new woman in an unlikely place.

Phil expresses his disapproval over Kat getting involved with Scarlett. Kat also gets annoyed when Billy defends Janine.
Later, Janine tries to talk Kat round and asks for a second chance to be a good mum to Scarlett. Soon afterwards, the social worker calls to announce that Scarlett has gone missing.
Meanwhile, Shirley and Jean set their new plan in motion. Ruby becomes suspicious and the final straw comes when Martin tells her that Lily has been caught with weed at school. Lily insists that she got it from a classmate, but Ruby believes otherwise.
Elsewhere, Rainie is curious when Vi comments that Linda is very big for how far along she is with her pregnancy. Rainie visits Linda and roots through her hospital bag once her back is turned.

Kat suspects that Janine is responsible for Scarlett's disappearance. Billy receives a text from Janine and meets up with her, discovering that she has given up hope over Scarlett and will now be leaving. Billy explains that Scarlett is missing and realises that Janine clearly had no idea.
Later, Janine and Kat team up to find Scarlett. Janine ultimately tracks down Scarlett at Phil's, as Tommy has been hiding her out upstairs. When Janine scuffles with the kids, Scarlett's jumper lands on a lit hob and flames start to rise.
Meanwhile, Shirley is unhappy to find Phil and Gray looking friendly. Later, Shirley arrives at the Mitchell house in a rage and spots a baseball bat. Full of anger over Tina's disappearance, Shirley hits Phil and he falls to the floor. Shirley panics and leaves.
Elsewhere, Jean warns Ruby that she intends to tell Martin the truth today. Ruby makes a decision of her own in response.
Also today, Jack demands the truth from Linda and Mick.

Who knows if she is broke, I vaguely remember her push all of her money into trying to buy the Queen Vic pub, only for David to bribe it out of her (to pay for Carol's cancer treatment). But then again she did become a millionaire from her gran.

"Janine bursts in.... Zack meets a new woman". I guess Janine's one night stand is all but confirmed to be with Zack.
