EastEnders bosses are planning a top secret episode with four different endings. Producers have told Tracy-Ann Oberman, who plays husband-killer Chrissie Watts, that she will film a quartet of climaxes – thought to be death, escape, suicide and jail – to mark her departure from the BBC soap. But they’ll be keeping the real ending a closely-guarded secret until the last possible minute.

A Walford insider told the Daily Star: “As soon as Chrissie wielded the doggy doorstop which killed Den, Tracy realised that she would not be a long-term regular. She’s thrilled at the prospect of four endings. It means that she will be making a massive impact.”

TV chiefs will be hoping the keep-’em-guessing storyline has a similar effect on viewing figures. Fans have been deserting EastEnders in droves and the show has now dropped into third position behind Emmerdale.

I think that Chrissie will escape. I don't think that she will commit suicide over that no good husband of hers_that would just be like letting him win. Anyway, the door is left open for her, so death in any way is not possible unless its a bit like her dearly departed husband's first death. I don't think that she will go to jail as she frames Sam for Den's murder and not even Peggy can get Sam out. Esape seems the most likely but you never know with EastEnders' writers.

If she escapes then she can never return to the show though so she should go to prison stay there for 10 years or so then be released. Let's have a bit of realism please I know it often has to go out of the window but this is what I'd like to see happen. As much as I love Chrissie it would be a natural and realistic ending to the character and if the show is still on air in 10 years which I think it will be then she can always come back.

If I had to say who I would rather go to jail out of Sam and Chrissie, I would have to say Sam - she can get so high and mighty sometimes :thumbsdow . I still like the character of Chrissie, but only because I know its not real, and I think TAO is brilliant so I would like the possibility that she could return at some point. I think that escape seems the most likely option but who knows? :searchme:

That was past Sam. She really has changed a lot over the past year and she has stepped of that pedestal. I still don’t like her much however Sam DOES NOT deserve this. I prefer Chrissie to Sam but Chrissie was the one who gave the fatal blow. Sam didn't even hit him. She helped him to bury him and fair enough she should get punished for that but not for murdering him. That is just wrong and cruel and Chrissie is being a heartless cow by allowing it to happen. I know her character is big on survival and all but jailing an innocent person for something you did is bang out of order. Chrissie has really taken it too far this time round and she is need of some much needed comeuppance. I think the Mitchells and maybe Sharon will be the ones to do that.

However I must say-exciting stuff!!! I can't wait for all this to be aired.

Yep, Frank is coming back for a while ('bout two weeks I think,) and it was confirmed -- but Janine isn't coming back. So I'm not sure how they'll do the trial. :searchme:

It has been revealed that Chrissie Watts, the permed EastEnders husband-killer, will make a dash for the border when police are searching for Dirty Den's murderer.


However, in a gripping storyline that will underline the fact that crime doesn't pay, Chrissie is nabbed by the police just as she and her toyboy Jake Moon are to escape to freedom.

Well they go to the airport, so obviously overseas somewhere. I think Chrissie this week plans to go to Argentina, but obviously Sam tearing up her passport and ticket puts a stop to that, but her and Jake may decide to go there. :searchme:
