Emmerdale to introduce mystery newcomer for Wendy Posner storyline
Emmerdale is introducing a mystery newcomer as part of Wendy Posner's latest storyline.
Russ, who is played by Rob Jarvis, will be spotted in the Dales next week on ITV, as the soap looks to delve further into Wendy's past.
In upcoming scenes, Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) can't help but be suspicious of Wendy (Susan Cookson), given her recent behaviour.
Bob eventually finds that he has been lied to by Wendy, which results in her coming clean about the fact that she attended the funeral of her ex-mother-in-law.
A mysterious figure suspiciously watches Bob and Wendy from afar at the same time.
It's not long before this newcomer, Russ, makes his next move, as he approaches Ben Tucker (Simon Lennon) for information about Wendy.
Russ then finds out that Wendy is due back in a few days' time.

This latest storyline for Wendy follows her son Luke leaving the village back in June. Luke's departure came after Wendy learned and then told Victoria Sugden everything about Luke's involvement in the death of his brother Lee.
At the time, Luke warned his mother against trying to help Robert Sugden, who is currently in prison for Lee's death.
