I've just got a text message saying i've subscribed to get ring tones costing £4.00 per week - I've not subscribed to anything...........

It says if you call this number beginging with 0906 you can unsubscribe but I reckon that might be a preimium rate number...

And I havent received any ringtones either

Any ideas?

The STOP thing normally works.

Any ideas of the company? You could check out their website otherwise

Its a contract one.

The people called Top Tone but I can find a ringtone site called that. It may be a scam to try and make you call the number to stop it and you get charged about £5 per min or somthing.

yeah probably is. just have to see if you get any money taken out each month. nut yeah it is more than likely a scam.

i got one the other day offering me a contract phone and free minutes etc for £5 A MONTH! and it was a premium rate number

Its mad really, I guess if somthing sounds too good to be true it normally is!!

Will have to wait till I get my bill to see if they have charged me. Might try the stop thing as well.

If stop doesn't work try 'Unsubscribe'

I've found out that numbers begining with 0906 are premium rate numbers and you can be charged up to £5.00 per min so I think it is a scam
