Roald Dahl's widow Felicity thinks that he would have loved the latest movie adaptation of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Felicity revealed that the author would have "wept with happiness" after seeing the film, especially as he didn't like the 1971 version which starred Gene Wilder.
"Roald would have thought, 'At last - somebody has understood,'" Felicity told The Sun.
She added, "The thing I was most nervous over throughout was how Johnny Depp would interpret Wonka, who is the best-known character in children's literature. He is an extraordinary man and it takes an extraordinary actor to interpret that.
"At first I was so nervous that I could hardly look at the screen. And then when I saw it at the premiere, I thought 'Great. He's great.' Kids just love him."
