Dead end!

Interview with Tracy-Ann Oberman.

CHRISSIE NOW KNOWS THAT DEN WILL NEVER REST IN PEACE ……. BUT WILL HER ESCAPE PLAN HAPPEN IN TIME?

FOR SOMEONE WHO WAS SO keen to get her hands on the Vic, Chrissie now can’t seem to get rid of it quick enough!

Ever since Sharon and Dennis returned, she’s lurched from one crisis to another trying to keep secret the fact that she murdered their dad and buried him under the pub. And with Sharon determined to find Den and have him at her wedding, Chrissie knows that the game is going to be up one day very soon….
So while Sharon’s been planning her dream wedding, Chrissie’s been planning her escape. With the help of her pal Amanda she’s forged Den’s signature so she can sell the Vic and start a new life as far from Walford as she can get. ‘She’s getting desperate now’, reveals actress Tracy-Ann Oberman who plays Chrissie. She’s done her best to put Sharon and Dennis off the scent but nothing’s worked. ‘All she can do now is keep her cool and plan her getaway. There’s nothing for her in Walford anymore – apart from a possible life sentence!’ With Sharon packing for Spain to track down Den, Chrissie knows time is running out. Sharon will only find dead ends – and the final dead end is the one Chrissie fears…
‘Chrissie knows that both Dennis and Sharon will start to get suspicious when they find no trace of Den. What if they go to the police? It wouldn’t take them five minutes to work out that Den never got on a plane to Spain and his credit cards would show that he hasn’t spent any money since the night he vanished,’ explains Tracy-Ann. ‘She’s got to get away before his body is found. ‘Forging Den’s signature is dodgy but it’s Chrissie’s only option. She hasn’t got any money because it’s all tied up in the Vic. But with a nice lump sum she could escape.’ To buy just a little more time, Chrissie tries to persuade Sharon and Dennis that once again Den is getting between them and they should give up the hunt. ‘She pulls out all the stops. She does her best to try and manipulate Sharon. She loses her temper, she weeps and wails, she begs but none of it does any good. Sharon’s going to Spain and if Chrissie doesn’t act quick she’s going to jail,’ says Tracy-Ann. Amanda adds to the pressure when she tells Chrissie she’s uncomfortable about having her name on the forged documents and she’s pulling out of it if Chrissie doesn’t accept the one offer they have for the Vic in 24 hours. ‘As it happens it’s good timing because Dennis hears from Sharon in Spain and decides to get fully involved in the search for Den. ‘He tells Chrissie he’s going to start from the beginning and retrace Den’s steps and she knows it won’t be long before he’s on to her. ‘She’s working against the clock now and there can only be two possible endings – either Chrissie sells the Vic and vanishes or Den comes back from his grave to wreck her life…’ With reports that the cellar will see some digging action very soon, we reckon there’s only one possible ending!

It's on... It's off... It's on!

Interview with Letitia Dean.

ALL ABOARD THE ROLLER-COASTER RIDE THAT'S GOING TO BE SHARON AND DENNIS'S WEDDING!

Some people have all the luck while others have none. And there's Sharon- who only has bad luck! While she's busy planning what should be the happiest day of her life when she marries Dennis, fate is busily stacking up gloom and doom to wreck her dreams...

Her biggest mistake is deciding that she wants her dad Den to give her away. For as all we know, as she's yet to find out, he's lying dead and buried under several feet of concerete in the Vic cellar_ and 'best mate' stepmum Chrissie is the one who put him there. Why couldn't Sharon have shared Dennis's hatred and never want to see Den again? 'Although they fell out over Dennis, Sharon has never stopped loving her dad,' explains Letitia Dean who plays her. 'And having a big wedding without him there just wouldn't seem right. She sees it as the perfect opportunity to build bridges and let him back into her life again.' Dennis, of course, doesn't... So she doesn't tell him that she's just started a search for dear dad. 'Sharon never learns does she?' says Letitia. 'Dennis keeps going on about her being more open and she's doing just the opposite again. 'When he finds what she's up to he's so furious that he tells Sharon he'll call the wedding off if she insists on finding Den.' 'And Sharon reacts by calling the wedding off herself,' reveals Letitia. Don't panic, though, as it's soon on again ... 'The very next day Dennis, encouraged by Chrissie, decides to patch things up and agrees that they should invite Den,' says Letitia. Given that Chrissie was in a blind panic when Sharon announced she was going to find Den, why does she help Dennis see sense? 'Because she wants Sharon married and out of the Vic- and out of her life- so she can sell up and get away from the body she put in the cellar,' explains Letitia. 'I think because she knows Sharon can't actually find Den, she manages to calm her nerves on that one.' Only it doesn't quite work out that way. Sharon's full of questions and it's Chrissie she's looking to for the answers. 'Sharon asks Chrissie about the girl fron Dagenham that Den supposedly ran off with. And when Chrissie suddenly becomes evasive, Sharon thinks that it's because she's been so badly hurt by Den that she just can't bear the idea of ever seeing him again,' explains Letitia. So totally oblivious to the effect it's having on Chrissie, Sharon announces that she's going to Spain to find Den. 'Don't forget Sharon thought her dad was dead for a long time and they've only just been reunited. She doesn't want to lose him again. She's got it into her mind now that Den's coming to the wedding so she'll do whatever it takes to find him.' It can only be a matter of time before Sharon finds out the truth. Could it be that his death might drive Sharon and Dennis apart? Might Den somehow manage to stop the wedding he so didn't want even from his grave? 'That's hard to predict. She'll be devastated if she does find out the truth. But I don't think that she would split up with Dennis...' Unless there could be more dark secrets Den's taken to his grave with him...

Running out of time...

Interview with Philip Dowling.

THINK ROMEO AND JULIET AND PREPARE FOR ONE OF EASTENDERS'S SADDEST EVER EXITS...

They may not be the most lovable kids in soap but your heart has to go out to them when Leo and Demi run away with baby Aleesha rather than never see each other again. Just barely 14, Leo's trying so hard to be a man and look after and support his little family. But it's all going badly wrong and Leo who's played by actor Philip Dowling, is set for one of EastEnders' most tragic exits ever... 'Leo's trying to be grown up but looking after your girlfriend and a child at his age is just too much,' says 17-year-old Philip. 'It's really sad. He's only doing this because he wants to be with them. He loves them both and all along he's wanted to do the right thing. It's only their families that have stopped him.' Now those families are desperate to have them back. Leo's mum and Demi's parents have united to find them- only Leo and Demi don't know that... 'I'd tell Leo to go home and try to sort it out,' says Philip. 'But he thinks he's in a whole load of trouble and will almost certainly never be allowed to see Demi again if he goes back.' With no money whatsoever and only a dirty squat to provide a roof over their heads, Leo then makes a really bad decision. 'He asks his friend Gavin if he can lend some cash but instead he gives him drugs to sell. 'That's something he's done in the past and he dosen't want to do it again. But he's desperate and sees it as his only hope. 'He thinks he will do it just the once and then they can get through a few more days. But when drugs are involved no good can come of it,' warns Philip. Demi's horrified when she finds out that he plans to sell drugs. He feels so ashamed of himself that he suggests that she goes home. 'But despite her shock, she tells him that she wants to stay with him. Instead they both agree to send Aleesha home. 'It's a very grown up thing for them to do. They're putting the baby first even though it will be heartbreaking for them to be apart fom her,' explains Philip. Demi calls Pauline and says she wants to meet with her but makes her promise not to tell anyone else. Then she hands Aleesha over to Pauline and she and Leo vanish again. 'But even without the baby to feed, Leo and Demi are still in a mess. They're stuck in that filthy squat and they still have no money.' And, says Philip, things start to go from bad to much worse... 'The ending is so sad I cried' explains Philip. 'It's really serious stuff and I hope I've done it justice'.

I think she does because i heard that the police don't listen to Sam when she says that Chrissie killed Den because they have both already said that Sam was the last to see Den alive, so when his body is discovered the police just assume and not even Peggy can get her out.

Eeny meeny miney Mo... or Kat?

Interview with Shane Richie.

Alfie's back from his trip to Hastings but the sea breeze dosen't seem to have blown any sense into him... because he still dosen't know which Slater sister he wants to be with! 'He's more confused than ever and tells Ian that the best thing to do is to let them both go,' reveals actor Shane Richie who plays Alfie. That could work. After all, how can he truly be in love with either if he wants both of them? 'But he is,' insists Shane. 'Only he loves them both for different reasons. Little Mo is the quiet, settling down type. But with Kat it would be high-octane all the way which appeals to his fun side. If you could roll both sisters into one woman she'd be perfect for Alfie. 'The trouble is if he chooses one he hurts the other. That's why dumping both might be the only way out. 'But he must hurry. Sooner or later Kat's bound to find out that Alfie's the boyfriend Little Mo's been talking about.' On his return Alfie again dashes between dates with both sisters, with Ian popping up as his conscience telling him that he must decide. 'He prepares to tell Little Mo that it's all over - but she's so happy to see him he can't do it,' says Shane. 'And it gets worse when she says she wants their relationship to be more serious. 'Later he gives Kat a stick of rock. But he dosen't realise it has the words 'I Love You' written through it. It's all to much for Alfie and he calls off their date saying he feels poorly.' So how and when will it all end? 'When Jessie, Kacey, Perry and I read the ending we were stunned. There's an incredible twist says,' says Shane. So the rumor that Little Mo will discover she's having Alfie's baby just as he dumps her for Kat could be true then? 'Ah... that would be telling,' laughs Shane. So who does Shane think Alfie should pick? 'It's almost impossible to see him with either sister now. But in my heart of hearts I think he's fated to be with Kat.' The rumor's true then!

Chrissie can get away with murder... but can Sam?

Interview with Kim Medcalf.

AS THE NET CLOSES IN ON CHRISSIE SHE DROPS SAM RIGHT IN IT!

The proverbial's about to hit the fan and Sam Mitchell's the mug standing in the firing line! Having lost Zoe as her fall girl for when Den's murder is discovered - as soon it will be - Chrissie's about to set up Sam... Of course Sam hasn't got a clue her days are numbered. She doesn't know that when Sharon returns from Spain she reports Den as a missing person. And she sure doesn't know that Chrissie tells Sharon that Sam was the last person to see Den. 'Sam goes into total panic when she finds out what Chrissie's said and that Sharon's now told the police,' says Kim Medcalf who plays Sam. 'But Chrissie reassures her that it was to take the spotlight off the Vic so Sam agrees to go along with her.' Doesn't Sam realise that with Zoe off the scene and the murder weapon wiped clear of Chrissie's fingerprints, Chrissie is about to frame her for Den's murder? 'Sam knows she's digging a hole for herself by agreeing to stick to the story Chrissie's putting out but Chrissie's left her no choice. 'Chrissie's very clever,' says Kim. She also tells Sam that she's all Sam's got. With Zoe gone they're the only ones involved now and Sam's only chance is to do as she says.' But it doesn't go well when Sam's quizzed by the police. She says she did see Den that night but she exchanged a few pleasantries with him before he left the square in a cab. The police aren't going to be fobbed of that easily though and grill Sam about her feud with Den over the Vic. 'Sam loses her cool. She can't recall the date of Den's disappearence and starts to sweat when the DC wonders if there's a link between Den and Andy's death,' says Kim. And there's more bad news. After the interrogation, Sam returns to the Vic and, just as she and Chrissie are toasting their supposed alliance, Sharon breaks the news that Chrissie now owns the pub outright. 'Sam's furious. As far as she's concerned the Vic is rightfully hers. She had no idea that Chrissie had this up her sleeve,' says Kim. 'Sam realises she's really on her own now. Chrissie is holding all the cards and has Sam backed into a corner.' So is anyone going to come to her rescue... like the soon to return Peggy, Phil and Grant? 'I'd love to see Chrissie try to get one over on any of them,' says Kim. 'And if she has any sense she'll call in the big Mitchell guns - and fast!' But will it be in time to save her from jail?
