1. Rash has an overwhelming day
Rash is thrown into the deep end when Ethan signs him up for the finance meeting, which is usually attended by consultants.
Already overwhelmed, Rash?s day gets even more complicated when he discovers that his old athletics coach Adil has been brought into the ED, and is clearly a heavy drinker.
2. Robyn makes a big discovery about Rash
Robyn is intrigued to hear that Rash used to be a rising athletics star, but he had to stop competing due to an injury.
Rash is then floored when Adil reveals that he doesn?t want treatment as he has pancreatic cancer and is trying to drink himself to death.
3. Rash reflects on his past
Still reeling from his discovery about Adil, Rash is forced to put aside his angst for the finance meeting, where he is given a channel for his anger.
Afterwards, Rash looks at his notes and realises that there?s something odd about Adil?s symptoms and the chances of him having cancer are slim.
When Rash is able to give him a proper diagnosis, he is reassured that he?s in the right career and that his ephemeral time as an athlete wasn't in vain.
4. Rash makes an admission
As they continue to reflect on the past, Adil admits that Rash was never one of his failures. In turn, Rash reassures Adil that he never pushed Rash too hard and admits that his injury was caused by a hangover.
Relieved, the pair reconcile, and later Rash heads out on his first run in years.
5. Sparks fly between Faith and Iain
Determined to get her life back on track after recent events, Faith indulges in some innocent flirting with Iain.
The pair are soon bonding over an elderly couple who need their help and even decorate the cubicles with fairy lights to recreate a tradition of theirs.
However, at the end of the day, Faith rejects an eager Iain?s request for a drink, choosing to spend time with her family instead.
6. Tina struggles with her reawakened grief
Tina?s resilience is tested when she bonds with a patient called Ted, who dies suddenly after a procedure.
Reminded of her late brother, Tina breaks the news of Ted?s death to his fianc?e, but this only reminds her of how much she resents that she wasn?t present for her Nate?s passing.
7. Jacob is unable to support Tina
As Tina is hit by a new wave of grief, Jacob finds himself in an awkward position when she delves back into the reason why she was absent in Nate's final moments in the first place.
Despite trying to support her, Jacob feels helpless when Tina insists on being alone. Are cracks starting to show in their relationship already?
