At the hospital, Vinny is on the verge of confessing all to the police when he sees Paul approaching and clams up, leaving the police unable to proceed.

When Paul criticises Liv for calling the police, she's suspicious. Determined to stick up for Vinny, she insists they do something and questions Paul's inaction.

Aware of Paul's rising anger towards her, Vinny tells her to leave. Paul is pleased to have driven a wedge between them.

Meanwhile, when Kim visits and wants to investigate a noise in the cellar, a worried Will deflects by suggesting they should head upstairs. Kim is excited and agrees.

After Kim leaves, Will heads down to the cellar to check on Harriet. He defends his actions with Kim as a necessary distraction, but has this caused a heartbroken Harriet to regress?

Hour-long episode

When Liv arrives at the Dingles', Vinny is wary to be alone with her. Cagey Vinny tries to stick to Paul's story, but panics when Liv mentions Connor. Before suspicious Liv can probe any further, Paul returns and tells Vinny to get Liv off their backs, or else.

Fearful for Liv's safety, Vinny ends their relationship. Liv is shocked and heartbroken, but her distress turns into determination to find Connor and discover what he knows.

Meanwhile, Jimmy stresses to Nicola about the damaging anonymous online reviews the haulage company is receiving. As Jimmy and Nicola end up at loggerheads, Juliette's PI watches on, satisfied.

Elsewhere, Aaron reluctantly accepts Mack's offer of help in the search for Connor.

Also today, Dawn is stunned.

Aaron is reluctant to help Mack load up the dodgy TVs, but eventually agrees.

When the police arrive on the scene, Mack scarpers, leaving Aaron to face the music.

Meanwhile, Priya awkwardly avoids Ellis.
