Sarah is pleased when Lucas calls at Underworld to do business, but Carla masks her discomfort. Peter is not happy when Carla says that she has to go to Harrogate to meet someone from Lucas's firm, but when Lucas returns to the factory, he insists his intentions are honourable.

As Carla and Lucas go over her sales strategy, neither of them notices Peter approaching with a bunch of flowers. What will he discover?

Meanwhile, Eileen assures George that with Tim driving the hearse, Ted's funeral will go like clockwork. Steve is put out to discover that Eileen has arranged for Tim to drive the hearse at Ted's funeral rather than asking him.

Elsewhere, after a customer asks Yasmeen about Geoff and says he wants to book his magic act, she flees from the restaurant. Elaine suggests they remove all traces of Geoff from the restaurant, but in doing so, Alya unearths a stack of unopened final demand letters. Yasmeen pales.

Also, Simon returns home and makes out to Leanne that he spent the night at a mate's. Slapping a fiver on the side, Simon tells her that she can do her own shopping and stalks into his room. Simon shows off to Jacob, telling him about his criminal past as a gang member. Jacob asserts that he'll fit right into his new role.

Finally, when Ronnie suggests they have a night out at the casino Ed is forced to tell his brother how his gambling habit cost the Baileys the house and very nearly their marriage.

Jenny persuades Carla to join her for a glass of wine and send Sarah to the business meeting in Harrogate in her place. But when a tipsy Carla receives a call from Peter, she declines it and sends him a text making out she's in Harrogate as planned.

Adam calls at Number 1 to keep watch over Peter. When he reveals that Carla ducked out of the Harrogate trip and sent Sarah instead, Peter realises she lied to him. Peter calls Carla again.

Meanwhile, Alya opens the pile of final demands with mounting concern. Alya resolves to seek professional advice, worried that the stress could tip her gran over the edge. When Imran reminds Alya that Yasmeen has yet to settle her legal fees, Alya realises that her gran's financial problems are worse than she could have imagined.

Alya tells Yasmeen that she has made an appointment at the bank tomorrow and their only hope is to explain how Geoff forced her into taking out the debts.

Elsewhere, George gives Steve and Tim a practise run at driving the hearse to see who's best. After a hair-raising ride with Steve at the wheel, a shaken George asserts it's Tim's turn. Having got the funeral gig, Tim performs a victory dance. When Eileen reminds him it's a serious job, Tim and Steve take the mickey, aware that she fancies George.

Also, Jacob provides Simon with the latest phone and explains it's a perk of the job. When Jacob suggests Simon should sample the drugs himself, Simon is unsure.
