A couple of TV WEEK articles:

"The Devil You Know

The last time Olivia Bell reconnected with Karl, she tricked him into revealing sordid details about the death of Finn Kelly. Susan is instantly on high alert when she learns Olivia has returned.

But Olivia swears she's changed her tune, offering to write a more truthful version of Finn's biography 'The Devil You Know'.

Susan is highly sceptical of Olivia's offer and doesn't trust her to be more truthful in a second version of events. Naturally, Susan and Karl dismiss her.

But when Susan realises the book will be written with or without her participation, she begins to reconsider working with Olivia. Little does she realise the Pandora's Box she's about to open."

"Shock Collapse

When Shane found out that his wife Dipi wanted him back, he was left reeling. After she cheated on him, he had moved on with Amy.

Things were going well between the new couple but when Amy asks Shane to come on board with her new fashion venture at The Tram, he's nervous about accepting.

Shane feels like it is history repeating. He's not keen to jump into another situation that closely mimics the one he had with Dipi at Harold's Cafe. But he feels deeply for Amy and can see them having a wonderful life together.

Meanwhile, Amy is excited about opening her new boutique at The Tram. But in the process of rearranging things, she moves a gas bottle, accidentally leaving the valve open.

By the time Dipi drops in to buy all the remaining drinks for Harold's, The Tram is filled with noxious fumes. Before the pair can escape, they collapse.

Shane is ready to commit to Amy's business plans and is about to tell her when he discovers the two women passed out in The Tram. Shane launches into action to save both Amy and Dipi. Shane has to choose who to save first.

The life-and-death situation gives rise to an unguarded moment and Shane finally realises it's Dipi he truly loves. She's the centre of his life, family and his world. Will Shane have the opportunity to declare his love to Dipi before it's too late?"

2 small things from Monday:

1) Karl - a Dr for 30 years - and Susan - a school head teacher for a long time - considering redrawing from their mortgage to pay the rent on The Tram for one month. He'd be on upwards of $200k a year, and she $150k or more. How much is Paul charging them!? Kyle can afford it but Karl and Susan cannot? and they still have a mortgage despite living in that house for 25+yrs on that salary and penny pinching on everything. Maybe he has a secret addiction.

2) The Year 13 talk surprised me. Better brush up on how the school system here works. In the UK I went to high school until Year 13, after which point it was off to University. Up to 11 for the regular grades, ending in GCSE and you could leave at the end of it, then 12-13 for A-Levels.

And you'd think all the other people living with Karl and Susan would be paying them rent too ,unless Bea doesn't work anymore??? All she seems to do is skip from backyard to backyard to the tram!

This is Neighbours though Karl and Susan aren't meant to be rich I suppose but in reality should have a few million in the bank at least

On Tuesday, Karl the Dr told Terese that he's going to be retiring soon and needs to save every dollar possible.

Karl, mate, what have you been doing with your money!! why don't you have a massive pension? you should have a portfolio of rental properties, loads of savings and a very healthy Super by now. You scrimp and save on everything, you hoard ALDI Special buys with Jane and save hash browns in the freezer. How can you be struggling?
