It's Cain's birthday, so Noah and Sarah surprise him at the garage.

Moira suggests Cain comes home for lunch as it'll just be the two of them, but she is soon disappointed.

Meanwhile, at the hospital, the sonographer predicts Laurel is 12 weeks pregnant but decides to get a colleague to confirm. When a more senior consultant arrives, they explain from the scan results that it is likely the baby will have a type of chromosomal syndrome. Laurel and Jai are asked whether they would like to perform a further test to confirm this.

Elsewhere, Gabby starts her new job and Leanna meddles, leaving Gabby expecting to be fired.

Moira manages to seduce Cain.

Although Moira is initially pleased, she knows something is up and is left feeling stung and rejected afterwards.

Meanwhile, Laurel frets over yesterday's scan results while an oblivious Arthur makes disparaging comments about a pregnant teacher at school, causing a stressed Laurel to react badly.

Elsewhere, Mandy bursts into Mill Cottage with gifts as she is desperate to see her son. Vinny is still keen to avoid Mandy and Paul. When Mandy leaves, Liv urges Vinny not to let Paul come between him and his mum.

Also today, Noah is feeling redundant in Charity's life until Chas gives him an idea.

Mandy confides in Paul about how she and Vinny used to go ice skating at Christmas, but she expects he won't want to this year.

Seeing Mandy's sadness, Paul is determined to help, but he is still worried that Mandy may learn the truth about why Vinny has pulled away.

Meanwhile, Charity is upset after reading a letter from Vanessa. Moira arrives to tear a strip off her about how she is being around Noah. Cain steps in to defend Charity against Moira's accusations and Moira is upset that he has taken her side. After Moira leaves, heartbroken Charity reveals what Vanessa has done.

Elsewhere, Noah makes a decision.

Nervous that Mandy might find out the truth, Paul decides to act.

Meanwhile, Mackenzie winds Moira up about her relationship. Soon she is concerned regarding Charity.

Liv realises that Paul is threatening her. With Liv trapped, the situation takes a turn when she suddenly feels dizzy and has a seizure.

Paul helps Liv and she starts coming around. With her health scare secret and his gambling, will these two come to an agreement?

Meanwhile, Rishi announces that he's going to use his pension pot to pay for Al and Priya's wedding, leaving Al blindsided. Jai confronts Al for being a money grabber Al uses Jai's outburst to his advantage and faux-nobly turns down Rishi's offer to pay for the wedding.
