View Full Version : Help! When do the Mitchells Return?
Phil - Am I right in thinking he should be back by now?? as he was supposed to try and ruin the wedding of Sharon and Dennis? (which they have already filmed) so is he back yet, anyone know?
Grant - I know he is filming in August for 2 weeks, but how long will he be on screen? somebody said one days filming is about 3-4 on TV, will he be around about a month?? If he is filming in late August will he be on screen in September/October time??
Thanks

all i no they come before the wedding
Barbara Windsor only started filming after the wedding and Ross Kemp isn't filming until next month so he definately won't be at the wedding and Steve McFadden isn't returning to a bit later on either. I think the whole point of them coming back is to help Sam.

I thought Peggy was meant to be back real soon, pretty sure Phil is coming back in the autumn.
Shouldn't this be in the spoiler section, because some people might not know that they are all coming back.
Well, they do now
i hope its soon because i like the mitchells.

Grant, would want to to, surely?
I don't think any real EE fans can! They are legends...
I don't think they do ruin the wedding to be honest. There's already going to be enough going on with Den's body being found!

Hmmm, I never though of that. Maybe they will be back to ruin the post honeymoon?
I think the reason they return home is to help Sam who is going to be arrested.

Oh yes, for the murder of Den. Thanks!:)
It's the most logical reason I can see for them flocking back to Walford.

I can't wait to get Peggy back on screen.. I presume she will be on a bit longer than her "boys" will be from the looks of it,,
If the wedding is put off cos of the discovery of Stinky Dens bod,, i don't care, cos if they are not married,, then it was obviously the EE writers didn't want it to happen :searchme: :searchme: ( this is just my take from all the posts in this thread ):cartman:

It's less than a month to go now until the 23rd August. I cannot wait...Den is coming UP...

Excellent, I thought she was only in it for a short time.
I will pencil the 23rd in my diary.
Has anyone else heard rumours that Frank maybe returning?
Mike Reid wants to return but they won't give him less hours than everybody else and I think the talks have stopped now.
Dr. Tangliss

Oh right, thanks WQ, that explains why I have not heard anything for a while.
It's a shame if he doesn't return because I like Frank.

Dr. Tangliss

I think with Den being foundon the 23rd August, and Sam being arrested around about that time, Peggy should be back beginning of September.

time to click off and watch a different soap now.
I cant stand those mitchells i think ee is been stupid for bringing old people back.
I dont think they are stupid bringing them back exactly. I see the logic, they were great characters who could give much, much more to the soap in the future. Its not like a cant wait either though. I dont think they are going to improve the soap that much in the long run, but the entrance could be quite good. Lets just wait and see how the stories turn out, and then see if it is a good thing, or a bad move

Peggy won't be back in 3 weeks, it'll probably be just slightly longer than that!
I thought it was about the 6th of September, i might be wrong though
Well that's not 3 weeks away is it?
kat 4 alfie
28-07-2005, 21:45
yup thats what some people have been saying on this board ! hoping it will be 3 weeks though .
Well it probably won't be. I think the reason she comes home is because Sam is arrested for Den's murder.
kat 4 alfie
28-07-2005, 21:57
yeah
It is possible that Peggy could return before the wedding though but I doubt it.

yeah , but she could come surprisamngly on there wedding day what is in 3 weeks to make that weeks even better than it already is . oh i dont no ... im confused now but wether she does come back on the 6th september or 3 weeks , i still cant waight !
Well we know she's def back on-screen by September.

I have heard Peggy comes back when Sam gets arrested, maybe her first scene is at Den's funeral, after seeing Sam she goes there and that's when the infamous Chrissie falling in the grave happens. Obviously Peggy would be very angry and enraged, it would be such an excellent scene. I really do that happens!
Much like the way Den being uncovered is supposed to be, a hand raising from the ground! lol.
kat 4 alfie
28-07-2005, 22:21
her first scene isnt at dens funeral because just before dens funersl she finds out that chrissy had framed sam, after being nice to chrissy for about 2 weeks . its on the thread titles something like peggys coffin fit or something .

I read that but there were a lot of ridiculous statements in there which seemed false, so I'm not sure how much of it is true. It went on about how happy Peggy is with Sam being arrested, because your not a proper Mitchell if you haven't done time. I think this is crap because Sam has always been Peggy's 'princess', it was her 'boys' who got into trouble, she was always trying to do her very best to protect Sam. It would upset her a lot to see her get into such a state.
I have heard that Peggy pushes Sam in the grave from some other sources too though, so I'm hoping this story is true. I think it would be a great scene for Barbara Windsor and Tracy Ann Oberon to do.
It will be an excellent scene whenever they show it...Either way we know we don't have much longer than a month to wait for all the excitement.

I did not know where to post this thing, but was just wondering if any one could enlighten me .
Thanks in advance. you guys are the best !!!!!!
We don't actually know all that stuff yet justjodi. It's not been leaked yet which is a surprise.
I prefer it when we dont know that sort of stuff. The whole "Who killed him" was a good surprise as well
phils little sister
29-07-2005, 12:46
yeah i know what you mean
It makes it more worth watching. If you know whats going to happen, and its not that good, then whats the point in watching? At least if there is a bit of mystery then you might watch to see what the outcome of a story is, even if it isn't always that good
I don't, I like to know these things but I do end up spoiling some pretty good storylines sometimes although I love it when nothing is leaked too because you know it's going to be good.
When you dont know, you knwo its going to be good
I dont read the long spoilers that people post, but i pick up a few things along the way-e.g. that Den is going to be discovered at the wedding. I prefer not knowing hte major stories.
Yeah I knew Den would be killed but there was no spoiler to really suggest who did it so I watched and was shocked when I thought Zoe had done it and then Chrissie had a go. If I'd read about that beforehand that wouldn't have been nearly as powerful to me.
Exactly, its better when you know whats going to happen, but not who does it. Thats why i think he shouoldn't know who discovers him, because it wont be nearly as good if we did
Well I think it's pretty obvious who discovers him...
yeah but it isn't certain. It was pretty obvious who'd kill him, but the fact it wasn't confirmed made it better
kat 4 alfie
29-07-2005, 18:02

Yep thats exactly what I was trying to say!
I reckon the drains are blocked again and that's how it all unfolds and kicks off a good winter for the show. I know it's not actually winter but in terms of tv shows there's a summer period and the winter period, the latter gets more viewers than the former.

That was the problem with the executive producer at the time she didn't plan long term she knew that Steve McFadden who plays Phil was only going to be taking a break from the show yet she practically made it impossible for him to come back.
