Derek is baffled by this week's nominations, he told Eugene. But Eugene wasn't surprised at all.
"I don't understand that," said Derek. "It doesn't work for me."
Derek thought there would be more than two people up for eviction and was disappointed that there weren't.
"I'm slightly surprised by Kemal," he said.
Eugene however wasn't. Oddly, he thought Kemal didn't stand out enough in the House. He thought he was a "nice person" who wasn't as noticeable as some of the others.
Derek spoke of the "moral decision" of the nomination process. "When they can't distinguish between right and wrong, that becomes a character issue," he said.
"Anthony's looking very pleased with himself," Derek said, looking pleased with himself.
Derek had some kind words for someone though: Eugene. "You are unusual. Your interests are unusual. Your mannerisms are unusual. You are the kind of person they put on TV for people to laugh at."
At least we think he was being kind.
The pair wanted to up the intellectual challenge of the House. "There's nothing to talk about to these boring old farts," Derek moaned, then corrected himself. "Boring young farts."
"We could set up a debate," suggested Eugene.
"Let's try and organise one," said Derek, excitedly. "I'd like that."
The others will be thrilled...
