EastEnders has released its first set of spoilers ahead of its big return early next month.

The BBC soap has been on hiatus since June, after running out of regular episodes to air due to the coronavirus pandemic impacting filming.

Now, after three months away, we'll rejoin the residents of Albert Square as they adjust to a new way of life, with the episodes exploring the aftermath of lockdown.

The first episode will air at 8.05pm on Monday, September 7, and is slated to run for just 21 minutes.

Its spoiler reads: "Lockdown in the Queen Vic has been bliss for Ian and Sharon ? until Dotty decides to burst their bubble.

"Callum fears Ben's crimes have caught up with them, Ruby faces serious financial problems, and Linda and Mick look to build a new life away from the pub."

The following night's episode has a runtime of 24 minutes and will see: "Vinny and Ruby realise that they share an urgent goal, while Kathy worries that Ian has got himself in too deep."

On September 10, Mick will be "determined to get back on track," while "Chantelle puts her plan into action and Callum demands the truth".

The Friday episode will air at a later time of 8.30pm, so it doesn't clash with the special hour-long Coronation Street airing on ITV.

In the episode, Suki will "swoop in to help her family" at a cost, while Ben will panic as his past comes back to haunt him.

Earlier this week, Luisa Bradshaw-White, who plays Tina Carter, confirmed a big storyline for her character when the soap returns.

"Tina got coronavirus and was living with Ash and Iqra," Luisa said on a recent episode of behind-the-scenes show Secrets from the Square.

"Tina now comes out thinking, 'I really want a relationship, I want love'. We start from there with Tina."

EastEnders airs on BBC One.

Ian strikes a deal with Dotty, who's due in court after her arrest at the club earlier this year. Ian changes his statement to help Dotty, in exchange for her keeping quiet about what really happened to Denny.

However, when Ian continues to push Dotty too far by winding her up, Dotty takes action by telling Sharon that Ian is the reason that Denny died.

Meanwhile, Chantelle seeks out a divorce lawyer but worries when she realises how expensive it's going to be. Gray continues to increase his control over his wife, installing a tracking app on her phone and taking her credit card. Chantelle decides to ask Kheerat to lend her some money, but he's dealing with financial issues of his own.

Elsewhere, while at work, Callum looks through CCTV footage from a warehouse job and is shocked to recognise Ben. The police are looking into Danny Hardcastle, so Callum's boss wants as much evidence as possible over the warehouse job ? including anyone else associated. This leaves Callum with divided loyalties.

Also today, Ruby discovers that someone has used her bank details to make expensive purchases, Mick looks for a new job, and Suki urges Kheerat to cut ties with Chantelle for good.

Sharon is shocked by Dotty's damning allegations against Ian. As Ian tries to defend himself, who will Sharon believe?

Meanwhile, Kheerat tries to help Chantelle financially and she confides in him about how she wants to use the money for a divorce. As Kheerat promises to help Chantelle, they share a moment together. However, Kheerat's generosity has just made his own financial troubles worse.

Elsewhere, Max tells Kathy about how he sold his half of the restaurant to Ian, as a tactic against Rainie in their upcoming divorce battle. Kathy warns Ian that Max won't be happy over him using the money to buy the pub for Sharon.

Also today, Gray is suspicious when he spots a pop-up advert for divorce lawyers on his laptop, Callum attends Ben's cochlear implant switch-on, Vinny has an idea for Ruby over the club re-opening, while Habiba hurts Jags's feelings when she wants to keep their relationship a secret.

Gray leaves for work, so Chantelle begins her plan to get away with the children. Will it work?

Meanwhile, Ruby worries as money continues to disappear from her bank account. She decides to team up with Vinny, who wants to stage a robbery at the club so Ruby can claim on the insurance. Ruby makes the arrangements by letting Vinny know the club will be empty with a full safe.

Ruby later has second thoughts, but it's too late. Martin, who's unaware of Ruby's plan, spots the burglary taking place and chases Vinny into the Minute Mart. The dramatic situation has dangerous consequences.

Elsewhere, Tina offers Mick a permanent job at The Albert. However, Mick gives up the opportunity when he learns that Kathy has offered the same job to Frankie.

Also today, Callum demands the truth from Ben over Danny Hardcastle.

Vinny calls Jags for help after the robbery drama.

Vinny is dismayed when Suki and Jags both turn up. Suki tries to take control of the situation by ordering Vinny to leave.

Meanwhile, Ben worries after Callum's ultimatum, stressing that he never wanted to put him in this position.

Elsewhere, Mick tells Linda about letting Frankie have the job at The Albert, promising to find something better instead. Tina takes the situation out on Frankie by deliberately putting her through her paces at work, but Frankie manages to impress her.
