Pete Doherty has been beaten up by three men in a late night brawl.
The Babyshambles singer and a friend were forced to escape into a shop to protect themselves.
The incident, which occurred on Friday evening in Kentish Town Road, has been captured on CCTV. Doherty, however, fled the scene before police arrived.
A witness told The Sun: “People at the scene said Doherty was trying to buy drugs off these guys. It all just kicked off in the street.
“Doherty was grabbed round the neck but his mate pushed the bloke off. Then Doherty got pinned up against the wall and they were all throwing punches at each other.”
The onlooker continued: “Doherty got punched at least once in the head and kicked two or three times. His mate probably took the same number of kicks but really stuck up for him. If he hadn’t been there, Doherty would have taken a real beating
