Actually I find the whole Keith and Rosie thing quite moving. She's obviously still madly in love with him and he loves her as he seemed to show last night. Obviously he's a lazy so-and-so but still... I find the Rosie character great - she seems to be quite complex, sometimes loud-mouthed and aggressive when defending her family, yet sometimes she breaks my heart.

I think Rosie is trying to keep her family together and realises she still needs Keith despite his shortcomings.

Keith is just a lazy bum. I know several people who can't read/write for one reason or another and have well paid manual jobs.
