Sir Elton John and U2 frontman Bono are feuding over a charity record, according to the Sunday Mirror today.
Although the stars were united in the campaign to Make Poverty History at Live 8 earlier this month, Bono is refusing to let Elton include U2's hit New Year's Day on a CD that he is making for his AIDS foundation.
A source explained, "Elton is livid. He can't believe U2 refused to give permission to use New Year's Day. He thinks it's really bad form.
"Bono was one of the main protagonists behind Live 8 and the Make Poverty History campaign which Elton was happy to do because it was such a brilliant cause.
"So you can imagine he was amazed - and a little let down, to say the least - when U2 wouldn't allow the song to be used."
