Phil and Ben bond over Dennis, after Phil receives a gift that he'd been planning to surprise Dennis with. However, the touching moment doesn't last for long as Phil is visibly frustrated that Ben can't hear.

Later, Phil sits down with Danny to discuss a potential job. Danny mocks Ben and agrees that Phil can be part of the job as long as his son stays away. Phil decides to support his son and lashes out at Danny for his comments about Ben. After turning down Danny's job, Phil asks Ben to help with his own plan.

Meanwhile, the extent of Jean's troubles are revealed when Kush discovers that she called the police multiple times about Whitney's disappearance, even though she had already returned home. Jean accuses Whitney of making her look stupid.

Later, Shirley hears what's going on with Jean and teams up with Kush as they try to tackle the situation themselves.

Elsewhere, Stuart gives Rainie food for thought by suggesting that she could get half of Max's assets when they divorce.

Also today, Mitch is desperate for Jack to help with Keegan's case, Lola urges Peter not to reveal their secret, Phil puts pressure on the Carters to get the pub deal done, and Ben confides in Callum about how his operation is tomorrow.

Jack informs Keegan that a witness, who has video evidence, has come forward over his case. He hasn't seen the video footage yet, so infuriates Keegan by once again doubting his innocence.

In the end, the video proves that Keegan wasn't involved in damaging the police car. Jack shows the footage to Keegan, but urges him to keep the news to himself as it hasn't been processed by the police yet. Will Keegan listen?

Meanwhile, Jean continues to experience dramatic mood swings, causing Kush and Shirley to question whether her medication is working. In reality, Jean is feeling unwell and there's an alarming incident when Tina and Shirley find her having a seizure.

Elsewhere, it's the day of Ben's operation but he's distracted by his planned job with Phil. Ben tries to get tips from Callum about what the police might know, but Callum is furious over him digging for information and storms off.

Also today, Isaac is still struggling with the truth about Patrick and ends up in an embarrassing situation with Denise, while Rainie tries to find out whether it's worth consulting a solicitor over her divorce from Max.
