The shocked and angry relief are out looking for Sergeant Ackland’s teenage rapist, Ross Trescot.
PC Sheelagh Murphy offers her support and June insists she is interviewed by her as she can’t bear to relive the horrific ordeal with a stranger. Sheelagh advises a distraught June to take HIV and pregnancy tests and June admits to being raped before.

PC Yvonne Hemmingway has to give evidence at Lee Thomas's inquest after he died as a result of hitting him with her asp in self defence. Inspector Gold supports her during the day and, after a hard line of questioning, a verdict of unlawful killing is recorded. Yvonne now has to wait patiently until the hearing. Will she be charged with murder?

PC Valentine and PC Casper search for a young school-girl who has gone missing. After hearing a panic-stricken message on her best friend Hazel’s mobile, the hunt for Celina is passed on to CID and DC Sim decides to send out a search party.
Celina is eventually found in some woods and it looks as though the teenager has just given birth – but where is the baby?
DS Hunter comes across old informant Frank Mann and is determined to get him on side as a source again. He asks his brother, PC Hunter, to keep him under observation and it’s not long before DC Masters discovers that Frank is up to no good. She finds he is in cahoots with a customs officer on a drugs scam and they are adamant to get to the bottom of what is going on.
With a huge bunch of lillies, and a heart-to-heart, Phil makes amends with Kate. He is determined to make a new life with her and his unborn child and says he will file for a divorce as soon as possible. However, will Kate’s night of passion with Phil’s brother, Steve, be kept under wraps for long?
The hard man’s mask is showing signs of cracking after Phil bids a tearful goodbye to his young daughter Maddy who is emigrating to Australia with mum, Christine.
Meanwhile, PC Hemmingway goes to Barton Street Station to face formal manslaughter charges. She’s touched when PC Stamp and PC Harman and the rest of the relief gather for a drink to support her. However, a run-in with a drunk results in Yvonne lashing out and hitting him; her heart sinks as she knows this is going to look terrible at her up-coming trial.
