Mandy tries to pull off the Hen Night of the year

........but will Sam and Lydia finally make it down the aisle?

Mandy decides to whisk Lydia off into town for a night out before the wedding, but they are left stranded by their taxi driver on a country road. In the confusion and argument with the driver, Mandy loses Lydia.

As Mandy tries looking for Lydia, she loses her footing and tumbles into the undergrowth. When she emerges, after some time, Lydia is nowhere to be seen.

Meanwhile, there is a mix up as Sam's stag do is mistakenly disturbed by a hunky masseur.

Elsewhere, Ellis gets dumped.

Also today, Paddy's anxiety grows over Eve.

After getting word that Lydia has arrived home safely, Mandy commandeers a ride from a passing car to get to the wedding, but her jaw drops to see Vinny's father Paul behind the wheel.

Meanwhile, Sam's breath is taken away when he sees Lydia arrive for the ceremony.

Elsewhere, Dan insists that he can look after himself to an attentive Amelia, but when he's left alone, the kitchen starts to look daunting. Dan struggles to make a basic meal for himself, and in the process, he has an accident which leaves him crying out in pain.

Also today, at the hospital, Vanessa and Charity are dropped off at the chemo unit, which leaves them feeling scared and vulnerable.

Finally, Paddy tries to avoid Bear.


Friday 17 April 2020 at 19:00 on ITV

Sam and Lydia exchange their wedding vows. As their union is made final, there are cheers of delight from all.

At the reception, Lydia is overwhelmed with happiness and the bride and groom take to the floor for their first dance. Lydia and Vinny also officially join the Dingle family by drinking from 'the welly'.

Meanwhile, Mandy has lied to Paul by telling him that Vinny is no longer in the village. However, as Vinny takes his place in a family line picture outside The Woolpack, we see Paul sitting in his car across the road watching – fully aware his son is still in Emmerdale after all.

Elsewhere, Belle is taken aback when Jamie declares that he loves her and is going to leave Andrea for her.

Also today, Paddy continues to keep up the pretence that all is well to Chas.
