Does Harlow and Hendrix go to the island too?

Apparently, the UK episodes airing in the usual daytime slot will "follow five couples from the show’s past and present as they head down the aisle, but will all of them make it?", while the other late night 10pm episodes "will see terror befall a group of Ramsay Street favourites as they head off to an island to celebrate Elly’s 35th birthday only for horror to strike and not everyone will make it back alive."

SPOILER ALERT!

The following is from a 'The Metro' Newsletter, & gives more spoiler info, so if you don't want to see extra detail, please don't read on.

Bea?

Finn wants Bea out of the way – he’s been harbouring an obsession for Elly which has only escalated. Bumping her off will clear the way for him to finally get with her sister. On the island he starts to put his plan into action and separates her from the group and then tells the rest they broke up so she left for home.
Elly’s gutted for her sister and wants to go after her but she receives a text saying she’s ok and wants space. Of course the texts are really coming from Finn, Bea is far from ok, she’s actually trapped down a mineshaft where Finn shoved her and hit her with rocks. He also chucks in a load of deadly snakes for good measure. Is this how Bea meets her maker?

Elly?

Elly is starting to feel guilty about her feelings for Finn and this upsets him. Elly begins to sense something is off about him. But she also gets the sense she is being followed, and she should trust her instincts as Harry Sinclair isn’t far away. After Bea seemingly runs off home, Elly wants to get off the island to find her sister and Finn is all too keen to go with her, he’s desperate to get her alone.
But her gut is still giving her a strong feeling and sooner or later she’ll listen to it. Then, as they go to leave the island, Elly finds Toadie and Bea’s phones in amongst Finn’s things. Could this discovery lead to her untimely demise?

Chloe?

Chloe gets Finn alone and tells him he shouldn’t leave the island with Elly, and he realises she knows about his feelings for her. Until now he thought he’d been so clever at hiding things, but it would appear not. He snaps, telling her to leave him alone, but now he’s at risk of her putting two and two together when people realise something’s happened to Bea. Will he silence Chloe to protect his secret?

Toadie?

Toadie has been around forever, but no one is safe during Neighbours’ anniversary, and he could well be one to lose his life. He goes in search of Bea in the bush but with the storm arriving he ends up missing.
That and the fact of course Finn wants to make sure his secret stays secret. Toadie later washes up on a beach barely alive. He is discovered by Paul Robinson, but he’s in a really bad way and Paul flags down a car for help. But it turns out the driver is not a good person at all. Could it be Harry Sinclair? Is it someone who will make sure what happened on the island stays on the island?

Finn?

It’s not above the realms of possibility that Finn gets his comeuppance, although the chances are slim. Perhaps Elly could discover the body of her sister and fly into a rage. Perhaps the whole group will rise up against him and take him down.
Perhaps Harry Sinclair will take him out as the pair battle over his secrets. Or maybe he simply gets knocked down dead by a falling tree branch during the storm. Whatever happens, here’s hoping evil Finn gets stopped in his tracks before any of our favourites get wiped out by him!

Harlow?

Harlow has been unwittingly helping to unleash Finn’s dark side by picking at his past in talking to him to help understand her dad. But she could be about to stumble on a secret that will see her end up dead. Hendrix and Harlow arrive on the island and decide to camp separately from everyone else.
Hendrix is hoping to take the opportunity to get closer to Harlow but she’s preoccupied. To alleviate her guilt she texts Gary to tell him why Prue really left the order. Having got it off her chest, she and Hendrix start to take things further, but as things heat up she realises things are moving too fast and she freaks out, running out on him.
She runs off into the bush and stumbles across the mine where Finn has been holding Bea captive and she’s horrified to realise what’s been going on. Having become trapped too, she gets bitten by the snake he’s been tormenting Bea with. Now that she’s discovered what Finn has been up to, if the snake bite doesn’t kill her, will Finn?

Gary?

After receiving a text from Harlow, Gary arrives on the island to make amends with Kyle having called off the wedding to Prue when he learns the truth about The Order. When he can’t find Harlow and gets a strange vibe off Finn, he gets suspicious and goes looking. And when Finn clocks this, he realises he has to protect his secret, no matter what. What will he do to keep Gary’s mouth shut?

Prue?

Prue is desperate to win Gary back after their fight. She arrives on the island with a dangerous honeymoon box in the passenger seat – in the clip a car is seen exploding. Is she heading to the island to kill her beloved if he won’t marry her? Or will she accidentally get taken out by whatever is in that box? Do the Order have it in for her?

A bride?

The trailer gives a sneak peek of a bride opening a wedding gift that explodes in her face, and by process of elimination of who is wearing a dress that fits the one in the clip, it would seem Paige is the one to get the unwanted fireball! Who would want to hurt Paige? Could someone have got the wrong target? Is this the end of Mark and Paige’s loved up dream before it’s even begun? Perhaps he really is jinxed.

We know Prue is a guest. She is a goner.

We had rumours of Gary leaving a while ago.

Reckon Harry is another death.

3 of Harry, Prue, Elly and Finn's dad dies I think

It would be darkly humorous if Paige is killed off, poor Mark!

Has most motive to kill Trent Harry and Elly (when she rejects him) but for some reason don't think he kills Harry. Third could be Prue or Gary

Personally I think the writers ruined this anniversary special. The weddings are a joke, why lump Jane with Des now and Mark with Paige, lazy writing, stupid storyline’s. As for the whole Finn saga, the more I read the more I think they’ve made a mess of that too!! How is Harry out of jail??? Finn was the perfect villain, they should of kept him good for a lot longer. The destruction he could of caused in years to come would have been spectacular . Everyone now looks like a bunch of idiots for believing Finn was changed. As quick as that, every character thrown under the bus!! As a real Neighbours fan, I’m disappointed yet again!

I agree, why all of a sudden pair Jane up with Des again when he just broke up with the woman he was with? at least hadhim come back fora while to build up to a wedding.... besides why would he want to marry Jane now after she stood him up all those years ago when she went to look after Mrs. Mangle and never came back???

I'm going to wait until I've actually seen it before I decide whether it's been "ruined". And personally I'm happy about Mark and Paige - I always thought they belonged together, and I hated that she went off with Jack. I was hoping Daniel would leave Imogen and come back to marry Amber, but maybe that'll be the 40th anniversary.

Don't forget the short prison sentences too. How long was Fin jailed for before he become Patrick? The whole Fin story line is just ridiculous, and I can't wait for it to be finally over and done with.

why would elly take aster to the island ?

It’s actually pretty realistic. Aster is only 3 months old and Elly’s first child. It’s hard for new mothers and mothers in general to be so far away from their baby for so long. As for the small amount she packed is very unrealistic!

I’m confused at the 5 weddings spoiler because Gary and Prue don’t even get to the isle but they are on the list? I’m kind of annoyed at this storyline though because really, if Jane marries Des that’s 3 relationships that reunites in 2 seconds and decides time meant nothing. It doesn’t work like that.

It's also a soap opera where simultaneously, am amnesiac psychopath is stalking people on a deserted island. It's not meant to be real life, it's escapism.

last night's opening felt like it was an homage to the very first episode. The theme tune definitely was.

The first scene in 1985 wasn't very family friendly but the opening titles were similar to Des looking around the street: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-UZGuzPzPE here from about 2:45.

Elly could have celebrated at home with her baby, had her birthday party and saved lives or Finn could have killed more pointless useless street residents
