I'm sure i'm not the only one here who suffers from Eczema and other skin conditions like Psoriasis. Thankfully i don't have it too bad but i do have quite large patches on my legs that never seem to fully go away.

Anyone have any tips or recommendations to help ease or clear it?

Somethings i find great:

Oatmeal baths - When my skin is really at me an oatmeal bath is fantastic. Immediate releif and super soft skin. I sow peices of muslin together, fill with oatmeal and hang it under the bath tap. Try not to have the water too hot as anyone that suffers knows it just seems to dry out your skin more. You do come out smelling a bit like porridge but for the releif its worth it!

Aloe vera - Take a leaf from an aloe vera plant, split and rub the juice over almost clear patches. It helps the skin heal and reduces scaring.

Lush Dream Cream - I recently bought the dream cream from lush and all i can saw is, wow! My skin has never been softer. It was recommended to me so thank you

Go to the doctors and they prescribe this oil stuff that you put into the bath to sooth it. My sister uses that and it clears it up better than natural stuff

yeah my little boy has a oil called dermol he had really dry skin but he been using that for 2 weeks and his skin is baby soft agian!

ive had excema for 15 years and it never gets any better. i suffered really badly last year when i was planning my wedding bcause of all the stress and was bright red! i went to the docs and she told me i was allergic to the prescribed cream ( aqueus) and stopped me using it! id been using it for 8 years and my skin neve improved! once i stopped it got a bit better. i went to a medical herbablist coz i didnt want excama to ruin my wedding photos and they gave me some tension tablets to stop the nerves and stress. they worked a treat alongside some anti histamines and my allergenic cream. i had smooth skin for months!

My sister suffered with it for years, head to toe and only ever kept it to a minimum. I only had it on my foot and had it there for years (weepy) it would stick to my tights etc. I cleared it up 5 years ago and no return how. I wet the foot and sprikled sugar on it and wrapped it in a bandage, every night for 2 weeks and it went. I have told other about this and I found out it worked for 6 out of ten people, also heard honey does the same, sugar is a natural healer. Its worth a try.

Ok firstly.. please avoid using text talk.
Secondly.. you might want to see your doctor, he/she will be able to give you some cream.

hiya

i get that quite a lot espiecally in the summer or when the radiators have been on lots!!

when i have a flare up i use my cream ( ive got dermol from the doctors!) loads litearlly plaster it on and let it soak in and then apply more!! i also use the steriod cream from the doc which takes the redness down and use superdrugs sensitive lip blam! that usually sorts it ibn a few days.

Also DONT use soap on that area because it wil dry it out more making it more sore and try to avoid really strong creams/ointments on oyur face! just until it calms down.

i use salt wash on mine and it calms it and stops the itch, i get it from health shops ( dead seas salt it is called) just use a teaspoon in a sink full of water that really helps mine.

doctor will be a ble to help you i find just a new cream helps it out for a bit

hope that helps a bit

Buy this cream.. it always works and it works wonders!!

For Eczema - Fucibet (Orange and Red stripes with a Lion on it)

This cream has an antibiotic in it and should only be used if your eczema is infected. I agree, though , it does work.

Eumovate is a good non antibiotic, steriod cream that you can buy without prescription and it also works well.

Diprobase is a cream that is excellant at moisturising the skin and preventing breakouts. Use daily after bath or shower.

Don't use perfumed bubble bath, infracare for babies is fab.

Use non bio liquid tabs for washing all clothes and towels. It is amazing the difference that this makes.

The sun also helps clear up eczema.

I have it and so does my youngest son. We are lucky that it seems to be undercontrol at the moment.
