I want to get it too, as I am starting uni in September. However, I went onto the freeview website, and when I put in my postcode, it states that I will probably need a roof top ariel, which has put me off a bit.
Ive got it! It brilliant! I've put it in my bedroom coz we have the cable in the living room, it's better than the NTL Cable!:D

Did you have to buy an aerial?

free view is great we recently upgraded to sky+ from freeview you get your basic channels bbc channels itv channels news channels shopping tv channels there are loads more channels you can get, im not sure of the make of our previous freeview box. try having a look at comet or argos for cheap freeview boxes
i had the sagem one which is really good. My dad gave in to sky so i now have the freeview box in my room.
I got one a while a go, its really good especially because now E4 is included. I dont need a roof top aerial, just an indoor one. The picture is really good even with that sort of aerial.

Thanks, abi! I might look into it further.:)
yeh it is much better with E4 thats a real bonus.
and E4+1 as well!
Definetly better than the NTL cable, like Diasy38 said, i had that before and that and sky are really expensive when Freeview is just as good
ive it too in my room and its sooooooooooo good with E4
but with sly its got more channels and some other great tv shows so we have that downsatirs :D
I guess so, but the only channels that i watch are on it. The important ones :D like E4

I like E4, it's a great channel, especially as it shows scrubs
It has the funiest ones ever, and the repeats of Friends are ace

Friends is great! No matter hopw may times I watch it I never get bored.
Same here, any way if your going to college or uni then you might not be that bothered about all the movie channels ETC that are on sky not freeview, you might be out drinking too much
E4 @ 5 makes my day with an episode of friends.

I wish I could go out drinking, lol.
E4 and 5 is good, especially as nothing else seems to be on at that time:)

This thread has notyhing to do with tv or radio programmes though, also if the "sky+" one hasn't been moved then neither should this :)

I am defo going to get it. I have seen a sky one, it costs £150 and they install a dish. It's got extra channels on it too. £150 seems a bit much, but since I am paying thirty odd pounds per month for ntl, I think it's a massive saving down the line. The only down side about digital, it does not have the channel sky one, but as digital is adding channels all the time, I gather channels like that will soon be on there?
i guess so, and if you get one with a top up card then they only cost about a tenner and get you more channels
Dr. Tangliss

Really, that's even better :)
Some have hte card free with them as well, you just have to make sure they have a slot in the front if it isn't free

Im more than likely gonna be, but i have to find one which is kinda cheap really as well, although my terestrial TV doesnt wo on my TV because my mum decided to pull out certain wires when she changed my room around, so it only works through Sky, but im sure if someone came to fix it then it would work, like i said i dont want to spend more than £50 on Freeview
You can get some pretty good ones for £50 though
They have the free view boxes in ASDA for £34.99, not sure how good it is as we've got sky so dont need to buy one.
my firend brought that one, but from tescos. Its quite good actually
