Yasmine is digging further into Edward's mysterious past. She warns Finn that Diane isn't safe. Finn shows Diane the news coverage about Edward, leaving her angry but also concerned. When Edward returns home, he agrees to explain himself when he and Diane are alone.

Later, Edward gives Yazz a pen drive of the news coverage from Finn's rape case and tempts her to read through that instead. Edward then meets a nervous Sally in The Dog car park as a taxi arrives.

John Paul steps out of the car and asks what the emergency is. He's visibly stunned when Edward explains that they need his help to get rid of Finn O'Connor from the village.

Meanwhile, Marnie wails when she sees the negative press coverage from the grand opening of her new patisserie.

Romeo comes up with a social media campaign to bring punters through the door and to make Marnie think she has inspired the village to speak French, even Goldie.

Elsewhere, Juliet is back in the fold with Imran and Ollie, but Sid feels rejected. He calls his cousin Jordan for drugs and then goes to see Liam when Jordan can't help him. Juliet apologises to Sid for ditching him and invites him back to her house. She offers him a drink, but he offers her drugs.


Tuesday 10 December 2019 at 18:30 on Channel 4

James is surprised to see John Paul. James and John Paul go for a drink, where James asks whether he's even a little bit tempted to speak to Finn. In the end, John Paul goes to see Finn at the Hutchinsons' flat.

John Paul has to go back to Singapore but promises Sally that once he has tied everything up over there, he'll come home.


Wednesday 11 December 2019 at 18:30 on Channel 4

Bobby finds out that Sylver has been charged for shooting his mum. Breda reassures him that now Sylver is in prison, no-one will hurt his mum again, but Mercedes is still worried that the shooter is out there after lying about Sylver. Mercedes panics when someone delivers a threatening letter to her.

Grace tells Sami that she's never seen Sylver as low as he is in prison and begs him to do everything he can to get him out of there. Mercedes tells Breda that someone is trying to scare her, but Breda reassures her that Sylver is in prison and to pull herself together in time for their quiz event tomorrow.

However, someone is watching Mercedes. Mercedes is spooked when a barrel is pushed over in The Dog carpark.

Meanwhile, James and Liam share a drink in The Loft, but James has an ulterior motive and asks Liam for the same drugs that he sold Sid yesterday. Liam suspects that he's being set up.

James plays the sympathy card and explains that he just wants to forget the pain of losing Harry and Liam thaws, relating to his own experience of losing Eva. He says he can arrange the drugs for James.


Thursday 12 December 2019 at 18:30 on Channel 4

Mercedes is being haunted by reminders of being shot.

Mercedes wonders whether she should change her statement about Sylver, but Breda asks why she would do that if he was the one who shot her. Breda encourages Mercedes to use the pub quiz to show the village that she won't be beaten.

Meanwhile, Grace and Sami visit Sylver in prison. Sami reveals that they're waiting on the lab report from some blood that was left on The Loft door, but Sylver is sure that there's no way it could be his.

Elsewhere, Romeo worries that James is putting their family in danger and begs his dad to forget about Liam, so they can all have the happy family Christmas that he and Juliet have never had before.

Also today, Nancy invites Diane out for a drink at The Dog's quiz night to mend their friendship. Edward is keen to be involved but Nancy pushes back that it should be a girls' night, leaving Edward scorned. Edward invites Jack to the pub quiz too so he can keep a jealous eye on Diane. When Grace confronts Mercedes about the blood results in front of everyone, Diane looks very sheepish.

Finally, Jesse and Courtney want to know what Toby's plans are to re-brand the salon. Toby teases that a very well-known model friend of his could be Jesse's next client. However, he urges Jesse to be discreet, leaving Jesse panicked that he has already teased the news online.


Friday 13 December 2019 at 18:30 on Channel 4

Breda questions whether Mercedes has false memories about the night she was shot, but Mercedes swears that she saw Sylver pull the trigger.

Meanwhile, Liam is dressed as Krampus for his new club night promotion and bumps into James.

Elsewhere, Jesse is nervous about his big break at the salon today.
