Mel puts her plan to ruin Sharon into play - but will it work

EastEnders has revealed full details of Mel Owen's unmissable car crash stunt, as her revenge plan comes to a head next week.

Recent paparazzi pictures teased that Mel and Sharon's feud would culminate in a horrifying road incident this month, echoing the infamous death of Mel's late husband Steve Owen.

Mel (Tamzin Outhwaite) has spent the last few weeks blackmailing Sharon, after discovering that she is secretly pregnant with Keanu Taylor's baby.

Hellbent on getting revenge on the Mitchells, Mel's schemes will start to come together when she throws an ominous surprise party for Sharon and her step-daughter Louise – who is also pregnant.

While Louise revels in the attention at the party, it's a very different story for Sharon as the walls start to close in on her.

Although Sharon desperately tries to fight back by threatening to expose her enemy's secret about Hunter, Mel isn't perturbed and ploughs on with her plan.

Worried, Lisa pleads with her best friend to see sense but Mel's plan becomes clear as she reveals her next move – telling Phil the truth about Sharon's baby as he arrives home from abroad.

Wanting to get to Phil before Mel does, Sharon sneaks out of the party to meet her husband at the airport – but it's not long before Mel realises what she's up to.

Determined to get there first, Mel is hot on Sharon's heels as she races her to the airport – prepared to expose her secret once and for all.

Fighting dirty, Mel even calls on Billy and demands he organise a big microphone announcement for everyone to hear at the party.

Whether or not Billy agrees remains to be seen, but it's a race against the clock as both Mel and Sharon desperately try to reach Phil first.

With Mel more determined than ever to get revenge on the Mitchell family, will Sharon be able to thwart Mel's plan? Or is the truth about to explode?

Either way, EastEnders bosses have already confirmed that Tamzin is bowing out of her role as Mel, with her final scenes due to be aired imminently.

EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday, November 11, Tuesday November 12 and Thursday, November 14 on BBC One.

Louise is surprised to learn that Lisa and Mel have been arguing. Lisa blames Mel, insisting that she isn't coping, but Louise is sceptical and starts asking questions about her mum's medication. Will the friends make amends when Mel apologises to Lisa?

Later, Sharon hears that Phil is coming home, having been tipped off by Mel about the sale of the E20. Sharon urges Keanu to get Louise out of Walford before things spiral out of control, but Louise is getting ready for the party that Mel has arranged for her. When Louise and Sharon turn up for the gathering, Mel's plan starts to unfold.

Meanwhile, it's the day of Ollie's assessment and Shirley quizzes Linda about an empty bottle of wine in the bin.

Elsewhere, Karen is hopeful when Keegan reveals that he and Tiffany will be moving out of Jack's place. However, Keegan's next move isn't what she'd expected.

Also today, Jean opens up to Shirley about losing Daniel.

Sharon sneaks out of the gathering to meet Phil at the airport, but Mel follows her. When Keanu warns Sharon that Mel is hot on her heels, it's a desperate race against time.

Mel calls Billy and orders him to put the phone to the microphone for an important announcement. Will Mel reveal the truth?

Meanwhile, Chantelle is baffled when Denise mentions a fight that Gray was involved in. Chantelle covers by pretending to know what Denise means.

Elsewhere, Mick and Linda reminisce over old times.
