Scarlett Johansson suffered in silence when she was injured on set of her new action movie - because she didn't want the extras to think she was a diva. .
The sexy actress was left in agony after shooting daring stunts for 'The Island', but refused to make a fuss.
She explained: "There were a couple of times when I was in so much agony, but I just kept going because there are 300 extras being moved from one place to another and you're not going to be the a**hole who says, 'Oh, I've been winded!' or whatever, so you just kind of crawl along in agony" .
Scarlett's co-star, Ewan McGregor, was also wounded while making the film but the pair, who play clones in the movie, soldiered on regardless.
She added in an interview with Britain's Telegraph Arts and Books magazine: "We were running around 14 hours a day and it was draining.
We were all banged up and wounded My knee was permanently bruised and I also hit my head, which was bad.
"Ewan in particular had some gory-looking injuries But that's just the casualties of war, because it's such a big film and you know that time is money, so you get horribly wounded"
