Derek has admitted that he thinks the public will boot out Science this week.
Although voters have opted to keep him in in the past - most notably when he faced off against Maxwell - Derek hopes that Science's recent behaviour will cause a change of feeling.
"A rush of blood went to his head," Derek told Orlaith, who is also nominated. "He wanted to behave like a king - the new leader of the house that could do as he liked."
He added: "It's like any game of tennis or whatever it is, you're only as good as your last match. And you don't know what's coming round the corner because you don't have a right to be big-headed. The voters have a right to put you out without explanation. That's what politics taught me."
Derek went on to counsel the model from his own experience of multiple nominations in the past. "I've been up almost more times than there have been series of Big Brother," he declared. "But you get strength from it. There were times when I just felt I was literally going mad and I was in a mental asylum. And I thought my sanity depended on getting out."
