Neighbours bosses have announced that Pierce Greyson's son Hendrix will be a new regular character.

Former Home and Away actor Benny Turland has been cast in the role of Hendrix, who makes his first appearance on Ramsay Street later this month.

Hendrix's arrival in Erinsborough comes just as Chloe Brennan (April Rose Pengilly) has decided to reunite with Pierce (Tim Robards).

Although initially wary of jumping into another relationship after splitting from Elly Conway, Chloe decides life is too short after receiving news that her mum Fay is facing worse struggles with her Huntington's.

As Chloe enjoys spending time with Pierce, he seems to be acting strangely as he receives mysterious phone calls which keep distracting him.

All is revealed when Pierce later introduces his 17-year-old son Hendrix, who is newly-expelled from boarding school.

Chloe had no idea about Hendrix, forcing Pierce to come clean over his history with the teen's mother Lisa. It turns out that Pierce was barely involved in Hendrix or his little sister's upbringing, but it seems that he'll now get a chance to make up for lost time.

As Hendrix starts to settle in, Pierce struggles to handle his suave son, who resents his lack of interest over the years.

First on Hendrix's agenda is to cause problems for his father's love life, so he subtly makes an advance on Chloe, which leaves her unsettled.

Neighbours' newest cast member Benny previously played John and Marilyn Chambers's foster son Jordan Walsh on Home and Away for a guest stint in 2016. His other acting credits include roles in Threaded and Love Child.

Neighbours airs these scenes on Friday, September 13 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours – who is newcomer Hendrix Greyson and actor Benny Turland?
Here's the lowdown on Ramsay Street's latest addition.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a29031922/neighbours-hendrix-greyson-benny-turland-who-is/

Neighbours introduces a new regular character today (September 13) as Pierce Greyson's son Hendrix makes his first appearance in Erinsborough.

Hendrix causes an immediate stir when he comes face-to-face with Pierce's girlfriend Chloe Brennan, who had no idea that he had a teenage son.

Need the lowdown on the soap's newest character? Here's a guide to everything you need to know about Hendrix.

Who is Hendrix Greyson?

Hendrix is the 17-year-old son of Pierce, who'll be bringing trouble to Erinsborough right from the start. Show bosses have billed the new character as a guy with "an impressive ego and a chip on his shoulder to match"

Known for his sense of entitlement, lack of respect and bad attitude, Hendrix has just been expelled from private school. Although Hendrix has only come to see Pierce for a visit, the millionaire business tycoon will ultimately agree to take the full parental reins when it comes to his wayward son. What could possibly go wrong?

Benny Turland, who plays Hendrix, revealed: "It's so crazy to be playing such a brat and actually get away with it. We have a lot of fun on set, but you know at some stage it's going to end in tears for him, which makes him really interesting to play."

What is Hendrix Greyson's family history?

Pierce was just 18 when Hendrix was born and hasn't been a big part of his upbringing. In Friday's Neighbours episode, Pierce gives his side of the story to Chloe, explaining that Hendrix's mum Lisa preferred them not to have much contact.

Lisa is older than Pierce and told him that she didn't need his parental involvement, encouraging him to go off and live his life. Pierce now regrets this and knows it was a mistake, as he's ashamed to have been an absent father.

Pierce is also dad to Hendrix's little sister, who currently lives in Sydney with her mum.

What will Hendrix Greyson's storylines be?

Hendrix's early scenes hint at a darker side to his character, as we learn that he has been harassing Pierce's ex-fiancée Ebony.

The teen also leaves Chloe uncomfortable by repeatedly flirting with her, although she holds back on telling Pierce what he's up to, fearful of how her boyfriend might react.

Chloe tries her best to help Pierce discipline his rebellious son when he continues to act out, but whether he'll respect his new parental figures for standing up to him remains to be seen.

Neighbours bosses have confirmed that Hendrix will be joining Erinsborough High, much to his disgust as he's used to private schools.

This means he'll also be playing a role in Neighbours' upcoming spinoff drama focusing on the school.

20-year-old Benny, who plays Hendrix, will be best known to UK viewers for a previous guest stint on fellow Channel 5 soap Home and Away. Benny portrayed Jordan Walsh, a foster child of John and Marilyn Chambers.

Away from the soap world, Benny is an accomplished dancer and won Australian show Young Talent Time at the age of 12. He also made it to the semi-finals of Australia's Got Talent at 14.

Benn has appeared on the Australian versions of The X Factor and The Voice and has performed alongside Kelly Rowland and Rita Ora.

The young performer became interested in acting while at high school and he studied performing arts in his hometown of Mittagong in New South Wales.

As well as appearing in the Aussie soaps, Benny also had a guest role in award-winning series Love Child.

Speaking about his Neighbours role, he said: "I've been watching Neighbours since I was young kid and I still find it surreal being in scene with icons like Paul Robinson, Toadie, Karl and Susan, and having a laugh with them.

"Tim [Robards, who plays Pierce] has been great to work with and we have a lot in common off set in terms of fitness that has really helped develop a rapport on screen."

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours' Pierce Greyson is pushed to breaking point by son Hendrix
Will he ever get through to his son?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a29063326/neighbours-spoilers-pierce-greyson-son-hendrix-breaking-point/

Neighbours newcomer Hendrix Greyson is already making a pretty bad first impression, but he's going to get even worse.

In scenes set to air in the near future, Pierce is going to learn just how much of a troublemaker his formerly estranged son is.

After he hits on Pierce's other half Chloe Brennan, she tells Pierce that he needs to step in and provide the fatherly attention Hendrix is obviously craving. Pierce suggests an afternoon on the golf course and buys Hendrix some expensive new clubs.

Things then take a turn for the worse as Hendrix decides he'd rather go on a last-minute holiday instead, but Pierce refuses to allow it, causing Hendrix to retaliate by throwing the clubs in the lake.

He's going to get a lot worse still though, as everyone learns when a bunch of random and rowdy people turn up at Sheila Canning's (supposed-to-be) small birthday party... because Hendrix put an open invite on social media.

After speaking about discipline with Karl and Susan Kennedy, Pierce decides to take Hendrix's phone and credit card. But Hendrix only pretends to hand them over, as he schemes to call the bank and get another card sent to him in secret.

Are Pierce and Chloe ever going to get through to him?

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours' Hendrix Greyson in horror car crash storyline
Will he be punished?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a29379306/neighbours-spoilers-hendrix-greyson-car-crash/

Neighbours teen Hendrix Greyson fears being jailed next week after causing a shocking car crash.

Hendrix (Benny Turland) almost causes a tragedy when he drives straight towards a Lassiters event after another row with his father Pierce.

Next week's episodes see Pierce (Tim Robards) try to get Hendrix on the straight and narrow, promising his wayward son that he'll inherit his business one day.

Hendrix is surprised to realise that Pierce trusts him with the responsibility and listens eagerly as his dad gives him some early pointers.

Sadly, their father-son bonding time is interrupted when Pierce's girlfriend Chloe Brennan (April Rose Pengilly) calls from Adelaide. Predictably, Pierce drops everything to speak to her – leaving Hendrix convinced that he'll always come second.

Hendrix takes revenge by taking Pierce's car for a joyride, but disaster strikes when he loses control of the vehicle and drives straight towards Lassiters' marquee for the Melbourne Cup.

The marquee is knocked down thanks to Hendrix's reckless driving, while Harlow Robinson (Jemma Donovan) gets trapped inside.

Harlow is rushed to hospital after Roxy Willis (Zima Anderson) frees her from the wreckage, while Pierce wants answers as he arrives on the scene.

When Hendrix brushes off the crash with his usual bad boy nonchalance, Pierce gives him a wake-up call by threatening to report him to the police.

Hendrix panics over Pierce's threats, convinced that he could be locked away for his actions. However, in the end, Pierce covers for him by insisting that he asked Hendrix to park his car – so if anyone is to blame, it's him.

When Hendrix thanks his father and makes a heartfelt apology, Pierce hopes it's a fresh start for them. Can Hendrix be trusted to change his ways?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Thursday, October 17 and Friday, October 18 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours teen Hendrix Greyson left devastated by shock outburst from Pierce
Deserved or not deserved?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a29458626/neighbours-spoilers-hendrix-greyson-pierce-outburst/

Ever since he arrived on Neighbours a few weeks ago, Hendrix Greyson has proved to be an absolute brat. He's been constantly acting out and throwing over-the-top tantrums, getting on everyone's nerves.

But it all comes from him really wanting love and attention from his father Pierce. He never received it as a child and now he's moved to Erinsborough he's finding there's still a disconnect between him and his old man.

Things are going to come to a head next week, when the Melbourne Cup heads to Erinsborough as part of this year's tour.

Pierce plans to take a photo with himself, Hendrix and the cup as a bonding moment, which Hendrix likes the sound of.

Unfortunately, Chloe will make her return after some time away, meaning that Pierce's attention is going to shift entirely to her.

In retribution, Hendrix will steal the Melbourne Cup and hide in the boot of Harlow and Roxy's car.

When confronted about it, Hendrix will hit out at his father for his poor attempts at being a parent, but in a surprise move, a furious Pierce will rage back and claim that he wishes Hendrix just stayed away.

Can they salvage their relationship?

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours' Hendrix Greyson plans to wreck Pierce and Chloe's wedding
And he has a Chelly-related idea in mind.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a29678115/neighbours-spoilers-hendrix-pierce-chloe-wedding-story/

Neighbours hints that Hendrix Greyson could ruin his father's wedding next week.

The troublesome teen is not pleased when he discovers that Pierce (Tim Robards) is planning to rush down the aisle with Chloe Brennan (April Rose Pengilly) as soon as possible.

In the wake of the couple's Melbourne Cup proposal, Pierce and Chloe decide to set a date for their wedding in three weeks' time.

The news doesn't go down well with Hendrix (Benny Turland), who privately decides to put a stop to the rushed nuptials in any way he can.

Hendrix sees an opportunity when he realises that he can use Chloe's history with Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta) against her.

With Chloe and Elly getting along as friends again, Hendrix decides to play on his dad's insecurities over their past.

The schoolboy's efforts pay off when Chloe and Pierce have a tense argument, casting a shadow over their wedding plans.

The next day, Hendrix strikes again by trying to plant seeds of doubt in Chloe's mind about the wedding.

The teen suggests to Chloe that Pierce's trust issues are hypocritical, given his own past.

With no filter – as ever – outspoken Hendrix also claims that Chloe's Huntington's disease doesn't make her special, as everyone could die at any moment. He questions why she has to rush into a wedding more quickly than anyone else.

After this frank conversation, Chloe starts to question the speed of her wedding plans. Is she doing the right thing?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Thursday, November 14 and Friday, November 15 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours' Hendrix Greyson changes tactics to destroy Chloe and Pierce's relationship
Will his new plan work?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a29756353/neighbours-hendrix-greyson-chloe-pierce-relationship/

Neighbours' Hendrix Greyson is changing tactics to destroy Chloe and Pierce's relationship.

The teen has been trying to come between the couple without much luck and sees the hotel scandal as an opportunity to spend more alone time with Chloe, but even that is ruined thanks to Susan.

The Kennedy matriarch arrives with her infamous marriage quiz, which she uses to test how well couples know each other before she agrees to marry them – so Hendrix tries to disrupt the wedding by altering Pierce's answers and leaving Susan to pull out as celebrant.

But, after Pierce manages to convince Susan to come back on board, Hendrix is persuaded to change tactics in order to put a halt to the wedding.

After finding an unlikely ally in Roxy, Hendrix is given some much needed advice – Chloe will never fall for him if he continues to be a brat. All of which leads him to change course.

Instead of trying to come between Chloe and Pierce's wedding, Hendrix instead goes out of his way to help Chloe with wedding prep.

But will the couple catch on to his plan?

It seems they don't initially, as Chloe and Pierce are thrilled at Hendrix's sudden turnaround.

Could his new plan actually work...?

Neighbours airs weekdays on Channel 5 in the UK.

Neighbours' Hendrix Greyson kisses Chloe Brennan before her wedding
Is he determined to ruin everything?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a29931517/neighbours-spoilers-hendrix-greyson-kisses-chloe-brennan/

Neighbours teen Hendrix Greyson crosses the line again next week by making a move on Chloe Brennan.

Hendrix (Benny Turland) reveals the extent of his feelings for Chloe just days before she's due to marry his father Pierce.

The drama begins when Pierce (Tim Robards) is forced to miss his wedding rehearsal with Chloe due to work commitments.

Hendrix happily steps in as a fill-in groom, making the most of his opportunity by turning up the charm around Chloe (April Rose Pengilly). However, things later go a step further when Hendrix kisses Chloe once they're alone.

Chloe is quick to push Hendrix away and is appalled at him for making a move on her. It soon dawns on Chloe and Pierce that this was more than just another prank to Hendrix and he has genuine feelings for her.

As Chloe and Pierce struggle with their anger and confusion over the situation, Hendrix escapes the fallout by heading off to live with the Kennedys.

Later in the week, Pierce and Chloe try to get their wedding back on track – starting with hen and stag celebrations with their neighbours.

Chloe arranges a 'classy soiree' which is far from exciting, but things liven up once Elly Conway arrives and injects some life into the party.

As Chloe starts to enjoy herself, Sheila Canning reminds her that this is her last night of freedom. Could this give Chloe cold feet at the eleventh hour?

Meanwhile, Hendrix is determined that he won't attend his father's party, despite encouragement from Karl that he should be there.

It's only when Roxy Willis advises Hendrix to bury the hatchet that he reluctantly heads over to support his dad.

Unfortunately, Hendrix walks in at the wrong moment, hearing Pierce make a gushing speech about how happy he is. It's the last straw for jealous Hendrix, so will he step up his attempts to ruin the wedding?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Tuesday, December 3, Wednesday, December 4 and Friday, December 6 at 12.50pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours' Hendrix Greyson sparks a new scandal by crossing the line with Chloe Brennan again
Chloe decides that it's time to take action.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a30402719/neighbours-spoilers-hendrix-greyson-chloe-brennan-scandal/

Neighbours teen Hendrix Greyson makes a guilty confession next week after stealing an intimate photo of his new stepmum Chloe Brennan.

The troublesome schoolboy risks a backlash from his family by crossing the line, just when they were all hoping that he was making some progress.

Viewers know that Hendrix (Benny Turland) has feelings for Chloe and has been trying to keep his distance from her since she married his father Pierce.

Next week, though, Hendrix is the surprising person who comes to Chloe's rescue when she faces pressure at work.

Chloe (April Rose Pengilly) is determined to prove that she is capable of being the hotel's General Manager, but the long hours mean that she doesn't see much of Pierce.

Hendrix is sympathetic when he sees that Chloe is struggling and that it's having an impact on her marriage.

When Chloe loses half of a financial report that she was working on, Hendrix offers his support. Afterwards, Chloe is confident that they've finally taken a major step forward when it comes to repairing their relationship.

Sadly, the progress doesn't last for long as Hendrix's lack of respect for boundaries comes into play once again.

When Hendrix finds an explicit Polaroid that Chloe took of herself, he steals it. Feeling guilty afterwards, he confesses his sleazy behaviour to Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher).

Karl is disappointed in Hendrix and advises him to put the photo back, but Chloe is furious to catch him in the act.

Once Chloe reports back to Pierce (Tim Robards), he also rebukes his son for his unacceptable actions. When he sees Hendrix crying with regret, he hopes that the teenager has been given the shock that he needs to finally turn a corner.

Understandably, Chloe doesn't want to let this go so easily and takes matters into her own hands, making a phone call which could change everything...

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a30486527/neighbours-spoilers-hendrix-greyson-mother-lisa/

Neighbours bosses will introduce Hendrix Greyson's mother Lisa next week.

Former Blue Heelers actress Jane Allsop has been cast in the role of Lisa, who visits Ramsay Street to help address Hendrix's bad behaviour.

Lisa arrives in Erinsborough shortly after Hendrix (Benny Turland) faces a scandal due to stealing an x-rated picture of his stepmum Chloe (April Rose Pengilly).

Under pressure to change his ways once and for all, Hendrix confides in his mum about recent events – finding her surprisingly reasonable and understanding.

Despite this, Hendrix's father Pierce (Tim Robards) can't help fearing the worst. Knowing how controlling Lisa can be, he worries that she'll leave his relationship with Hendrix in tatters.

As Lisa settles into her visit, it becomes clear that Hendrix isn't her only concern.

Lisa explains how she'd like to have another baby, but wants Pierce to be the father again. Pierce and Chloe are both stunned, but Lisa pleads with them to think carefully about her proposal.

Chloe can't believe it when it seems that Pierce is actually considering the request. She seeks advice from her brother Aaron (Matt Wilson), explaining that Lisa's proposition seems to be an enticing offer for Pierce.

Hendrix is also unhappy when he finds out what's going on, unsettled by his mum's hidden agenda.

In the end, Chloe gets tough with Pierce by urging him to make a decision about what he wants. How will he respond?

The students' feelings for one another are set to escalate.

Neighbours teens Hendrix Greyson and Harlow Robinson will see their romance hit a new obstacle before it even gets off the ground in next week's episodes.

Following their kiss at The Waterhole's Mardi Gras party, which is set to air this week, Harlow (Jemma Donovan) doesn't contact Hendrix (Benny Turland), and he ends up struggling with the vagueness of their situation.

As a result, Hendrix ends up seeking advice from his dad Pierce (Tim Robards) and during the pair's rare heart-to-heart, Hendrix expresses his fears that Harlow is ghosting him.

He asks Pierce whether or not he should continue trying to get in touch with Harlow, while Pierce thinks Hendrix may be overthinking the whole situation.

Meanwhile, on the other side of all this, Harlow isn't sure how she feels about Hendrix after the pair gave in to temptation at the party.

This week's 35th anniversary episodes see Finn go on the rampage on the island, leaving lives hanging in the balance.

Next week, the island-goers who survived the horror are brought back home to Erinsborough after being rescued.

Most of the guests are just feeling worse-for-wear, but Paul's granddaughter Harlow (Jemma Donovan) is in a bad way and is rushed straight to hospital.

Once there, Harlow is put in an induced coma to save her life. Meanwhile, Bea Nilsson needs surgery for a broken leg, and Toadie Rebecchi is treated for concussion and exhaustion.

When Hendrix arrives at the hospital to visit his love interest, Paul (Stefan Dennis) reacts angrily and claims that he's to blame for her injuries in the first place.

Paul is livid that Hendrix took Harlow away to the island, accusing him of putting her life in danger just because he wanted to have sex with her.

Hendrix is stunned as Paul points out that Harlow would be fine if it wasn't for him – and her ordeal is still far from over.

The next day, persistent Hendrix is desperate to check on Harlow and sneaks into the hospital to visit her, risking a second showdown when Paul finds out. Will there be fireworks again? And more importantly, will Harlow survive?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Tuesday, March 24, Wednesday, March 25 and Thursday, March 26 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours' Hendrix Greyson in fire drama with Mackenzie Hargreaves
How will this affect their perfect night?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a38116083/neighbours-spoilers-hendrix-greyson-mackenzie-hargreaves-fire/

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours teen Hendrix Greyson faces a mini disaster as he prepares to spend the night with Mackenzie Hargreaves for the first time.

The young couple have been dating for several months, but have held off from taking things to the next level because Mackenzie (Georgie Stone) didn't feel ready.

In upcoming scenes on Channel 5, Hendrix (Benny Turland) and Mackenzie sit down for a long-anticipated talk about taking the next step in their relationship.

Hendrix explains that he didn't want to rush Mackenzie, so has been waiting for a very clear signal that she's ready.

When Mackenzie confirms that she does want to take things further, it's a relief to have everything out into the open. The couple feel able to relax and enjoy what's coming next.

The perfect opportunity is created when Toadie Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney) heads out of town to visit family for a few days.

This means that Number 30 will be empty, giving Hendrix and Mackenzie some time alone.

Hendrix thoughtfully sets up the house for a perfect evening with Mackenzie.

He lights candles, sets up fairy lights and cooks some food. However, disaster strikes just as Mackenzie comes home.

To Hendrix's horror, the candles cause a small fire to break out.

Although nobody is injured and the situation is quickly dealt with, Hendrix fears that he has ruined things already.

Mackenzie is much more optimistic, assuring Hendrix that every fairytale starts with a low-level disaster.

Pushing the previous mishap to one side, Mackenzie and Hendrix enjoy the cosy setting and their perfect night begins.

Neighbours airs these scenes on Wednesday, November 10 at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5. The scenes air in Australia on Tuesday, November 2 at 6.30pm on 10 Peach.

In a brand new teaser video shared to Twitter, Benny talked fans through Hendrix's upcoming arc alongside clips of his character meeting new arrival Zara Selwyn, discussing Kyle Canning's cancer diagnosis, and sharing a passionate kiss with Mackenzie Hargreaves.

"There is a new teen coming to the show, and Hendrix finds himself in a role of a bit of a mentor," the actor teased, hinting at Hendrix's involvement in Zara's predicament about her mum's relationship.

Freya Van Dyke will arrive on Ramsay Street in the new year in dramatic fashion, as she walks in on her mother Amy in bed with Levi Canning and Ned Willis.

Before Zara's arrival, Amy, Levi, and Ned's polyamorous relationship appeared to get back on track after a difficult past few weeks.

When Amy shares the truth about her relationship with Levi and Ned, Zara reacts badly, horrified by the fact that her mother is in a committed relationship with two younger men.

Just how much of Hendrix's 'advice' about his own experience with dad Pierce and stepmum Chloe's relationship will Zara take?

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours' Hendrix Greyson will be left shocked in a future episode when Zara Selwyn kisses him.

After getting in with the wrong crowd at school, Zara (Freya Van Dyke) has created an enemy for herself in Jane Harris, Erinsborough High School's acting principal.

Having been relentlessly teased and pranked by the students, Jane has reached her breaking point and she vows to see Zara punished, believing her to be the ringleader and the one behind the school fire.

In tomorrow's episode, Zara will protest her innocence to both her mother Amy Greenwood and Jane, but when she won't tell them who was responsible, the adults are reluctant to believe her. (Turns out, she was trying to protect her new pals Aubrey and Sadie.)

Next week, Hendrix (Ben Turland) will be seen supporting her as she's cut off from her job and her friends, and Zara realises she's on the brink of losing her whole life in Erinsborough.

Neighbours announces huge new Hendrix Greyson storyline
He receives some worrying news.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a39806020/neighbours-spoilers-hendrix-greyson-new-story/

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours airs emotional scenes for Hendrix Greyson on UK screens next week as he learns that he's seriously ill.

A big new storyline begins as Hendrix agrees to get himself checked out after experiencing some worrying symptoms.

In next week's scenes, Hendrix devotes his attention to supporting his girlfriend Mackenzie Hargreaves after Montana Marcel's much-hyped fashion week ends in disaster.

When the big event ends with Montana's arrest, Mackenzie fears that she has been played for a fool after being asked to model for the influential fashion designer.

Hendrix spends his time trying to cheer up Mackenzie, but his efforts are interrupted when he experiences a serious coughing fit.

He decides to get himself checked out at the hospital, confident that this is just a precaution and he's suffering from a cold.

After undergoing several tests, Hendrix is urgently called back to the hospital to receive his results. He's then stunned to discover that he's unwell as a consequence of saving Mackenzie from the recent Erinsborough High fire.

Hendrix is diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called sarcoidosis, which has attacked his lungs and caused his recent coughing.

Viewers have already seen some early signs of this on screen, such as when Hendrix coughed badly while setting up the barbecue at a recent Ramsay Street garden party.

While sarcoidosis is usually easily treated, it has already developed into a condition called pulmonary fibrosis in Hendrix's case.

Due to the seriousness of the condition, Hendrix's only option is to undergo a lung transplant.

Later, Hendrix interrupts a huge row between Karl and Susan Kennedy, who are still clashing over their ill-fated investment into Montana's start-up business.

Hendrix tells Karl and Susan what he's going through and they promise to come together to support him. However, in private, Susan warns Karl that he's not off the hook yet.

Neighbours airs these scenes on Thursday, May 5 and Friday, May 6 at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Monday, June 6 and Tuesday, June 7 at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours reveals emotional struggle for Hendrix Greyson after worrying diagnosis
He isn't happy over the Rodwells moving to Ramsay Street.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a39871325/neighbours-spoilers-hendrix-greyson-struggle/

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours fans will see Hendrix Greyson struggle next week as the Rodwell family finally move to Ramsay Street.

An emotional new storyline beginning this Thursday will see Hendrix left devastated as he discovers that he's seriously ill.

When Hendrix undergoes tests to see if his recent coughing fits have been caused by anything sinister, the results show that he has an autoimmune disease called sarcoidosis, which has attacked his lungs.

In Hendrix's case, this has already developed into a condition called pulmonary fibrosis and his only option is to undergo a lung transplant.

Hendrix's health crisis has been caused by his involvement in the recent fire at Erinsborough High, which was started by Sadie Rodwell and her friend Aubrey Laing.

Hendrix bravely rescued his girlfriend Mackenzie Hargreaves when she was trapped in the burning building a few weeks ago.

In next week's episodes, Hendrix becomes frustrated over the Rodwells moving onto Ramsay Street, feeling that their presence will be a constant reminder of his health crisis.

Hendrix tries to turn to his loved ones for support, but his worst fears become a reality when Wendy Rodwell seems to be everywhere and her presence only makes him feel worse.

Mackenzie, Karl and Susan Kennedy all team up to take Hendrix's mind off the Rodwells, aware that they seem to be triggering him.

Zara Selwyn takes steps to clear the air with Sadie and tries to convince Hendrix to do the same, but in the process, she ends up learning about his condition.

Hendrix begs Zara to keep quiet, leaving her with the tough task of keeping his secret.

Meanwhile, Wendy tries to reassure her family that they'll be welcomed onto Ramsay Street despite Sadie's troublesome past.

Wendy tries to make the effort by arranging a neighbourhood barbecue, but will this pay off?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, May 9 and Friday, May 13 at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Wednesday, June 8 and Tuesday, June 14 on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours star Ben Turland responds to Hendrix Greyson's huge new storyline
Hendrix received some worrying news.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a39912981/neighbours-spoilers-ben-turland-hendrix-health-story/

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours star Ben Turland has spoken about Hendrix Greyson's big new storyline for the first time.

Thursday's UK episode (May 5) saw Hendrix receive the news that he has a life-threatening lung condition.

Dr Sian Caton ? played by former Home and Away star Esther Anderson ? told Hendrix that he has an autoimmune disease called sarcoidosis, which has attacked his lungs and caused his recent coughing.

This has already developed into a condition called pulmonary fibrosis. Hendrix now needs a lung transplant in order to survive.

Speaking to Digital Spy about the emotional plot, Ben explained: "I was taken into the office and told that they wanted to do this storyline and it was going to be quite big.

"I was honoured to take it on, and it's been really good to explore it with everybody.

"Hendrix's health issues were triggered by the fire at Erinsborough High, when he saved Mackenzie. This brought on the pulmonary fibrosis.

"It's been a slow approach to the story since then, but now we really get into it. It's been a good challenge."

In the coming days, viewers will see how Hendrix's relationship with Mackenzie is affected by the news. Hendrix will also confide in other characters, including the Kennedys, Chloe Brennan and David Tanaka.

Ben continued: "Hendrix has spent the past few months really helping out Mackenzie a fair bit. For Hendrix, that's what he wants to do ? just be there for Mackenzie.

"It's been nice to now sit down and work with Georgie [Stone, who plays Mackenzie], figuring out how they'd cope with something like this alongside their friends and families.

"It's been nice to explore a different side of their love, but also the fear and worry they feel over Hendrix's condition.

"Hendrix still definitely has a chance. He's been told that he has to have a lung transplant to survive, but it's definitely a solid chance and it's a rollercoaster for him."

The story takes another turn next week, when the Rodwell family move onto Ramsay Street.

This proves to be triggering for Hendrix, as Sadie Rodwell started the fire alongside her friend Aubrey Laing.

Ben said: "Hendrix doesn't quite know how he's going to act when the Rodwells move in. He wants to live life with Mackenzie quite normally. Even though he's got this sickness, he doesn't want to think about it.

"But because Sadie was one of the people who caused his sickness and she has just moved next door, he can't really escape it. Every time he sees them, it reminds him of his illness and what's happened to him.

"It's a big battle in Hendrix's head to figure out how he's going to act ? and if he can go on living his normal life with this sickness and the reminder of what has happened."

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 and streams on My5. In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach and streams on 10 Play.

Neighbours boss writes special episode for Hendrix Greyson's storyline
It airs next week.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a39952772/neighbours-spoilers-hendrix-greyson-episode/

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours' executive producer Jason Herbison has written a special episode for Hendrix Greyson's big new storyline.

The show's boss penned the script for the Friday, May 20 edition of the soap, which sees Hendrix Greyson and his girlfriend Mackenzie Hargreaves take centre stage.

The moving episode focuses entirely on Hendrix's illness storyline as he pays a visit to his dad Pierce, mum Lisa, sister Alana and half-sister Maeve.

Unusually, there are no scenes in the usual Ramsay Street or Erinsborough locations, as Hendrix's family all live in Sydney.

Reflecting the smaller cast and special nature of the episode, it also airs without the Neighbours opening titles.

Ben Turland, who plays Hendrix, told Digital Spy: "It was so much fun to film. It was great to travel to Sydney with the cast and crew, shooting in all of the different locations.

"It was a pretty tough shoot, as we didn't have the best weather. But we got to shoot in a lot of different locations where Hendrix grew up, as well as his parents' homes.

"We see a lot of the places where Hendrix would go to if he was scared as a little kid ? places that he felt comfortable.

"Taking Mackenzie to all of those spots is really special. It's really nice for Hendrix to be in those places with the girl that he loves. It's so important to him and it tells us a lot about Hendrix as a character."

Praising Neighbours' recent increase in location filming for its final season, Ben added: "It brings new elements and a new energy. It's quite exciting trying out new things and new locations, and seeing how our characters react in these places.

"It's been really fun ? although the mornings get earlier!"

Although Jason Herbison is showrunner of Neighbours, he also occasionally writes milestone episodes for the soap ? including the show's first-ever three-hander episode in 2015 and Sonya Rebecchi's exit in 2019.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 and streams on My5. In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach and streams on 10 Play.

Neighbours has confirmed casting details for Hendrix Greyson's sister Alana.

Alana will finally make an appearance next week as part of Hendrix's big new storyline.

Next week's episodes see Hendrix realise that he'll have to tell his family that he has been diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis.

Hendrix heads to see his dad Pierce, mum Lisa and sister Alana in Sydney, with moral support from his girlfriend Mackenzie Hargreaves.

He initially holds back from telling his family the truth, as he's frustrated with everyone treating him differently back in Erinsborough.

However, it's Alana who ultimately realises that Hendrix is behaving strangely, which forces him to explain that he's seriously ill and needs a lung transplant.

Molly Broadstock has been cast in the role of Alana. The show newcomer is best known for playing Bella in Australian comedy-drama series Mustangs FC.

Ben Turland, who plays Hendrix, told Digital Spy: "Molly has been great. Finding the love between a brother and sister has been really fun to explore.

"We'll see how Hendrix acts as a big brother. He feels quite guilty that he hasn't been there for his sister.

"It's been really good and Molly is great. We connected and established this sibling relationship, especially as we see the two characters in their homes in Sydney.

"They weren't just sets ? we got to be in some real-life homes and it felt like we were a family."

Hendrix's half-sister ? Lisa's toddler daughter Maeve ? will also briefly feature in the episode, played by Beatrix Van Vliet.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 and streams on My5. In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach and streams on 10 Play.

Neighbours star Ben Turland confirms proposal in Hendrix's storyline
"It's very much spur of the moment."

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a39967163/neighbours-spoilers-hendrix-greyson-proposal/

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours star Ben Turland has confirmed that a proposal is on the cards for his character Hendrix Greyson and girlfriend Mackenzie Hargreaves in an emotional episode airing next week.

A recent storyline for Hendrix revealed he was diagnosed with a lung condition called pulmonary fibrosis, which developed after the fire at Erinsborough high school. Due to limited treatment options, he is told that he must undergo a lung transplant within the next three years in order to save his life.

Hendrix ponders his future after the shock diagnosis before he and Mackenzie decide to take a stress-free trip to Sydney and visit his family. One thing he doesn't plan on discussing with his family, though? His illness.

His sister Alana, however, notices his odd behaviour, which in turn causes the truth to come to light after all. With the support of his loved ones, Hendrix will then make the ultimate romantic gesture and asks Mackenzie to marry him!

Speaking about the big storyline to Inside Soap, Turland said of the proposal: "It's very much spur of the moment. Mackenzie has opened Hendrix's eyes to a different way of thinking. She makes his life a little less chaotic, and more wholesome.

"Hendrix starts to wonder what he wants in life and who he wants to be a round. It makes sense to him, so he proposes! He doesn't even have a ring."

The actor also opened up about Mackenzie's reaction to the shock question, but doesn't give any indication of what her answer will be. "I mean, she's not expecting it! They're young and with everything going on, it comes out of nowhere. But Hendrix knows what he wants, and he wants to get married..." he teased.

Before proposing, Hendrix takes Mackenzie to some of the important locations from his childhood. Speaking about those touching scenes, Turland told Digital Spy: "Taking Mackenzie to all of those spots is really special. It's really nice for Hendrix to be in those places with the girl that he loves. It's so important to him and it tells us a lot about Hendrix as a character."

So, do we need to buy a hat? We'll have to tune in to find out!

Neighbours has confirmed the aftermath of Hendrix Greyson's huge proposal after he asks his girlfriend Mackenzie Hargreaves to marry him.

Hendrix (Ben Turland) was recently diagnosed with a serious lung condition called pulmonary fibrosis, which he developed after being caught up in the fire at Erinsborough high school. He's been informed that he will need to undergo a lung transplant within the next three years in order to live.

This week, he and Mackenzie (Georgie Stone) decide to take a trip to Sydney to visit Hendrix's family ? including his dad Pierce ? and, despite not planning on sharing the news with them, Hendrix ends up opening up about his diagnosis when his sister Alana notices that he is acting oddly.

He then reveals all, and, with his health news out in the open, Hendrix takes stock of his life and realises just how much Mackenzie means to him, so he pops the question to her.

Next week, the outcome of the proposal will be revealed as a stunned but excited Mackenzie accepts Hendrix's proposal and agrees to marry him.

Hendrix's family couldn't be happier about the news and he leaves Sydney feeling closer to them all than ever.

When they get back to Ramsay Street, Hendrix and Mackenzie share their engagement news with their friends and neighbours and soak up all the excitement.

Neighbours' Hendrix Greyson makes an upsetting mistake in transplant plot
Has he ruined everything?

Neighbours' Hendrix Greyson is left devastated next week as he jeopardises his chances of securing a transplant.

Hendrix is currently facing an uncertain future as he has been diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis and needs a lung transplant to save his life within the next three years.

In upcoming scenes on Channel 5, Hendrix receives a life-changing call amid his engagement celebrations.

Hendrix is told that his transplant could be imminent, as a potential donor has been found.

Unfortunately, things go wrong when Hendrix becomes determined to thank his donor, who is seriously ill in hospital.

Karl Kennedy insists that Hendrix's idea is not possible as it would breach protocol.

Hendrix has other ideas, finding details about the donor himself and heading off to visit him at the hospital.

Mackenzie Hargreaves accompanies her fianc? for moral support. They lurk in the hospital corridor and seize their moment when the donor's hospital room is free of visitors.

This plan goes wrong when Hendrix is caught out by one of the donor's family members and is ordered to explain himself.

Before long, Hendrix's transplant is left hanging in the balance due to him breaking the rules.

Hendrix is upset to realise that he may have ruined what could be his only chance to get a transplant.

Mackenzie sees how heartbroken Hendrix is, so she tracks down the donor's father and begs him to reconsider.

Will this be enough?

Ben Turland, who plays Hendrix, recently told Digital Spy: "I was honoured to take [this story] on, and it's been really good to explore it with everybody.

The couple are about to get married.

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours has confirmed that Hendrix Greyson and Mackenzie Hargreaves will tie the knot in a heartwarming ceremony on UK screens next week.

Hendrix recently popped the question to Mackenzie during their emotional trip to Sydney, realising that their relationship is the most important thing in his life.

Although Mackenzie has since vowed to have a long engagement, this week's episodes on Channel 5 see the plans change.

Hendrix and Mackenzie end up plotting a fast-tracked wedding, with their loved ones all rallying around to make it happen.

Although the last-minute scramble is stressful, the couple are determined to make it work and they look forward to their future together.

Next week, Hendrix and Mackenzie are left disappointed when the planned venue falls through on the eve of the ceremony.

The pair are forced to find something new, but tension between their respective fathers Pierce and Grant threatens to overshadow the occasion.

Fortunately, Hendrix and Mackenzie manage to salvage their plans and they end up enjoying a fairytale wedding.

Along with Pierce and Grant, guests include Hendrix's mum Lisa and sister Alana.

At the reception, Hendrix and Mackenzie entertain their guests with their first dance.

Grant also sweeps in for the father-daughter dance with Mackenzie.

To make things even sweeter, Pierce and Grant regret being so hostile towards each other in the build-up to the wedding.

The sheepish parents get through the ceremony without any drama and make apologies at the reception, with all bad feeling left firmly in the past.

The day afterwards, Hendrix and Mackenzie begin their married life with a "homey-moon" ? an at-home celebration that Chloe Brennan and Kiri Durant have treated them to.

Pierce also reveals that his wedding gift is a fully paid-for apartment, giving Hendrix and Mackenzie the best possible start for their future.

Neighbours reveals first look as Hendrix's transplant date arrives
Will he make it through?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a40140341/neighbours-hendrix-transplant-first-look/

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Hendrix Greyson prepares to go into surgery in Neighbours next week for his lung transplant.

And that would be a big enough week for anyone, but it is the same week that sees the youngster tie the knot with Mackenzie in a lavish ceremony.

The wedding itself is everything that the young couple hoped it would be, and the pair enjoy a brief stay-at-home honeymoon to share the little time they have before the surgery. Not only do they have their marriage to celebrate, but the gift of an apartment from Pierce is the icing on the cake for them.

But while they try to bask in the moment, they cannot help but think of the impending operation that is only a day or so away.

In true Hendrix form, he does his best to make everyone think that he is taking the operation in his stride ? when he is actually terrified about what could go wrong.

One person that can see right through the false bravado though is Mackenzie and she sets about reassuring him that he is in the best possible hands. But one thing that Hendrix is not short of supply on is support, and Mack, Karl, Susan, and Pierce are all there with him as he goes to the hospital.

As the operation begins, all his friends and family can do is wait and hope that everything goes as it should. But will they all get the outcome that they are praying for?

Hendrix was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis as a result of the school fire that was started, in part, by new neighbour Sadie Rodwell.

The Rodwell family moved onto Ramsay Street a few weeks ago and were instantly made aware of Hendrix's condition. While things are calmer for them now, will that all change if the worst happens to Hendrix while on the operating table?

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 and streams on My5. In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach and streams on 10 Play.

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours' Hendrix Greyson will die in heartbreaking scenes later this month.

Advance spoilers have revealed that Hendrix's final scenes will air in the week commencing Monday, June 13 as popular cast member Ben Turland bows out from the role.

Viewers recently saw Hendrix discover that he needed a lung transplant after being diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. His condition was triggered by his heroic rescue of Mackenzie Hargreaves in the Erinsborough High fire.

Hendrix was put on the waiting list for a transplant, and was later relieved as a match was found more quickly than anybody was anticipating.

The story's outcome has now been confirmed via online TV guides, which release short teaser spoilers up to two weeks ahead of transmission.

One listing for Tuesday, June 14 reads: "Everyone tries to cope with Hendrix's death, with guilt and support in equal measure".

Digital Spy understands that Hendrix's death storyline was already planned before the news came through that Neighbours would be ending this year.

Ben had made the decision to leave the show at the end of his contract.

Today's news ends the "who dies?" mystery which was sparked when a recent Neighbours trailer hinted at an upcoming funeral.

Show bosses have promised an unmissable set of episodes to send out Neighbours in style following Channel 5's decision to drop the soap.

In a statement released in March, the show's production company commented: "Following the loss of a key broadcast partner in the UK, and despite a search for alternative funding, we currently have no option but to rest the show.

"Everyone at Neighbours has been overwhelmed by the love and support from the audience since the news came out.

"The show has brought a sunny slice of Australia into the homes of millions of viewers around the world launching the careers of dozens of household names along the way.

"But as this chapter of Ramsay Street comes to a close, we promise to do everything we can to give the show the send-off it deserves."

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 and streams on My5. In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach and streams on 10 Play.

Ahh that?s so sad and unexpected! Was hoping for a positive ending to the transplant storyline. Hendrix was such a pain in the beginning but I?ve really grown to like his character.

DS article:

Neighbours confirms full details of tragic death storyline
The heartbreaking scenes air next week.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a40197835/neighbours-spoilers-death-story-full-details/

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours has confirmed the full details of Hendrix Greyson's tragic exit storyline.

Last week, Hendrix was named as the mystery character who will lose his life ahead of the show's final episodes.

New spoilers have now revealed the details of how and when Hendrix passes away.

Viewers recently saw Hendrix learn that he needed a lung transplant after being diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis.

Hendrix and his loved ones were relieved when a match was found more quickly than anyone had been anticipating.

In scenes airing on Channel 5 on Monday, June 13, the hospital team confirm that Hendrix's transplant was seemingly successful.

However, Hendrix's health later takes a sudden turn for the worse when his body rejects the transplant.

With only hours left to live, Hendrix fights through the pain to cherish his final moments with his loved ones.

The following day, it's a sad time for all on Ramsay Street as the news of Hendrix's death sinks in.

Sadie Rodwell blames herself for what happened, aware that Hendrix's health issues were triggered by the fire that she and Aubrey Laing started at Erinsborough High.

Harlow Robinson tries to support Hendrix's grieving wife Mackenzie, while Kiri Durant comforts Chloe Brennan.

Meanwhile, Zara Selwyn surprises everyone by revealing that Hendrix was working on a secret project before his operation.

The project was a video for his family, who are all comforted and grateful to hear from him one last time.

Digital Spy understands that Hendrix's death storyline was already planned before the news came through that Neighbours would be ending this year.

Ben Turland, who played Hendrix, had decided to leave the show at the end of his contract.

Georgie Stone, who plays Mackenzie, told Digital Spy: "The final episode for Hendrix is really devastating. It was the most harrowing experience I've had on set.

"It was really hard to film and I'm sure it'll be devastating to watch. We don't shy away from it. In those moments where it's hard to watch, we go closer and we really delve into what it's like to lose someone so young and what it's like to experience grief at such a young age.

"That goes for Mackenzie and the whole Erinsborough community. I'd suggest having a support network around when you watch it ? don't watch it by yourself."

Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, June 13 at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Thursday, June 30 on 10 Peach (Australia).
