re the line about being sued by Craig McLachlan:

Accusations over Craig McLachlan's TV show behaviour, court hears

Three people have made accusations about actor Craig McLachlan relating to his time on the television show The Doctor Blake Mysteries, including claims of an unwanted kiss and "inappropriate touching", a court has been told.

McLachlan, 53, is suing the ABC and Fairfax Media for defamation after an investigation published in January aired allegations of harassment and sexual misconduct made against him by female performers in the 2014 stage production of the Rocky Horror Show.

The actor is also suing Christie Whelan Browne, who performed alongside him in the production and spoke to journalists for the stories.

Neighbours hints at trouble for Ned Willis as newcomer Scarlett arrives
What's her game?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a28882381/neighbours-spoilers-ned-willis-scarlett-brady-meet/

Neighbours introduces a potentially troublesome new character next week, as Christie Whelan Browne makes her first appearance as Scarlett Brady.

Scarlett is introduced when she befriends Ned Willis (Ben Hall) at an airport, wearing a wedding dress after being jilted by her husband-to-be.

The drama kicks off when Terese phones Ned from Queensland, revealing that her wedding plans with Paul Robinson have gone horribly wrong.

Ned jumps on the next plane to support Terese, but ends up being delayed at Sydney Airport while waiting for his connecting flight.

While killing time in the airport bar, Ned is drawn to a tearful Scarlett and tries to cheer her up.

Ned's friendly gesture has an unexpected outcome when Scarlett starts to take a secret interest in him.

Later, Terese lets Ned know the wedding is going ahead after all, so he decides to fly back home to Melbourne as he's no longer needed. While Ned unlocks his phone, Scarlett secretly reads his passcode over his shoulder.

Shortly afterwards, the airline messages Ned to let him know they've found a replacement flight for him, but Scarlett uses his passcode to delete the message before he notices it.

Scarlett is delighted to have kept Ned around for longer, and when the time comes to board her own flight, she demands a selfie with him to mark the moment she met her new friend.

This won't be the last time that Ned sees Scarlett – and it seems that she could bring trouble with her when she later pops up in Erinsborough.

Neighbours announced Christie's casting as Scarlett in June.

Speaking to TV Week at the time, Christie teased: "[Scarlett] has a clear agenda when it comes to one of the male characters and she goes to extreme lengths to get what she wants.

"She's had her own pain and struggles, so while sometimes her actions will leave viewers shaking their heads, hopefully they can have sympathy for her too."

Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, September 9 and Tuesday, September 10 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours stalker Scarlett Brady targets Ned Willis with a creepy move
Scarlett sneaks into Ned's house without his knowledge.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a29065904/neighbours-scarlett-brady-ned-willis-target/

Neighbours' Scarlett Brady continues to stalk Ned Willis, going as far as taking private photos of him without his knowledge.

Viewers will see Scarlett (Christie Whelan Browne) driving a wedge between Ned (Ben Hall) and Yashvi Rebecchi (Olivia Junkeer) this week, with the couple ending up in a large row.

In scenes airing next week, Scarlett takes her scheming to the next step by trying to befriend Yashvi. Yashvi softens towards her, but Scarlett's real motivation is to open up new opportunities to find weaknesses in Ned and Yashvi's relationship.

Scarlett also takes advantage when she moves in to Leo Tanaka's empty room at Number 32, using it as yet another opportunity to get closer to Ned.

She successfully charms Aaron Brennan and David Tanaka into letting her have the room, and gifts them a new fish.

Ned is happy that Yashvi and Scarlett are on better terms. However, Scarlett enters Ned's house, and when she spots him in the shower, she begins to discreetly take photos of him.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours schemer Scarlett Brady nearly kills Bea Nilsson in shocking scenes
Her sabotage has major consequences.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a29177317/neighbours-spoilers-scarlett-brady-bea-nilsson-accident/

Neighbours fans will see Bea Nilsson's life hang in the balance next week as Scarlett Brady makes a dangerous move in her quest for Ned Willis.

Bea (Bonnie Anderson) finds herself caught in the crossfire of Scarlett's ruthless behaviour when the Ramsay Street newcomer tries to stir up trouble between Ned and his girlfriend Yashvi Rebecchi.

As Bea prepares for her latest gig at The Waterhole, Scarlett (Christie Whelan Browne) decides to use the occasion as an opportunity to split up Ned and Yashvi.

Knowing how protective Ned (Ben Hall) is over Bea, scheming Scarlett sabotages her microphone lead ahead of her big performance – fraying it near where it connects to the amp.

Scarlett then calls Ned to the bar on the pretext of a work mix-up – just in time for him to see Bea plug her microphone into the jack and receive a nasty electric shock.

Bea is in terrible danger as her hand gets fused to the lead by the current, but Ned jumps in to break the connection with a bar stool.

Ned then rushes Bea to the hospital, with the incident making him forget all about his plans to meet up with Yashvi (Olivia Junkeer) that afternoon.

When Yashvi seeks an explanation over his no-show, Scarlett gives her a warped version of what happened – downplaying the seriousness of the situation and highlighting how Ned seemed desperate to help his ex.

Yashvi is quick to confront Ned, who assumes that she heard the real story and can't believe her apparent selfishness. As Ned decides that he needs a break from his relationship with "immature" Yashvi, sly Scarlett is triumphant over the success of her mission.

Meanwhile, Bea regains consciousness at the hospital, but is confused when everyone assumes that her microphone cord was frayed due to wear and tear.

Bea can't shake the feeling that the explanation doesn't add up, as she is always extremely careful to check her music equipment. Has Scarlett aroused suspicion?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, September 30 and Tuesday, October 1 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours' Scarlett Brady shows her true colours by blackmailing Paul Robinson
Can she outsmart him?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a29452384/neighbours-spoilers-scarlett-brady-blackmails-paul-robinson/

Neighbours schemer Scarlett Brady finds a new victim next week as she blackmails Paul Robinson.

Scarlett (Christie Whelan Browne) shows that she's a match for Paul as she turns ruthless in a bid to keep her job at Lassiters.

Paul (Stefan Dennis) turns against Scarlett when he finds out that she failed to provide accurate job references when she was hired.

When Paul sees more evidence that Scarlett isn't all she seems and decides to dig further, he discovers that she hasn't even worked in a hotel before.

No-nonsense Paul takes action by firing Scarlett, but she refuses to let go of her job so easily – wanting to stay as close as possible to Ned Willis (Ben Hall).

Scarlett resorts to blackmail by telling Paul that she knows all about the cameras that were recently found at the hotel, and will take the scandal to the press if he sacks her.

Paul still doesn't want Scarlett to be part of the team, so he tries to barter with her by offering a cash bribe if she leaves Erinsborough and keeps quiet about the camera scandal.

Still obsessed with all things Ned, sly Scarlett refuses and reiterates that she wants to keep her job above all else.

Paul has no choice but to agree, although he can't help feeling that there's more to Scarlett's behaviour than meets the eye.

Unknown to everyone, Scarlett has all of the footage from the hidden cameras at Lassiters – including the explicit footage of Amy Williams and Kyle Canning. How far is she prepared to go to get what she wants?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, October 21 and Tuesday, October 22 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Digital Spy article. Trailer for the Halloween storyline:

Neighbours releases sinister trailer for Halloween stabbing storyline
"Hell hath ho fury like Scarlett scorned."

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a29558773/neighbours-scarlett-brady-ned-willis-halloween-stabbing-storyline-trailer/

Just a few days ago, Neighbours released a bunch of stills from an upcoming episode that will see Ned Willis fighting for his life in a surprisingly bloody storyline.

Now, the Aussie soap has unveiled a sinister trailer that promises 'hell hath no fury' like Scarlett Brady scorned.

In the Halloween special's teaser, Scarlett (Christie Whelan Browne) can be seen wearing a wedding dress and stalking a suited-and-booted Ned (Ben Hall) through a mysterious maze.

"If you were my boyfriend, I'd never take you for granted," we hear Scarlett say ominously over the trailer.

It's previously been revealed that the pair end up at a luxurious B&B after an increasingly obsessive Scarlett convinces Ned to consider a relationship between them and embark on a romantic getaway with her. Which is when things go seriously wrong...

Concerned for Ned's safety, former girlfriend Yashvi Rebecchi (Olivia Junkeer) texts a man named Scott Mayfair asking about Scarlett in the trailer. But instead of putting her mind at ease, her worries are amplified when Scott replies, saying: "Stay away from Scarlett! She's dangerous! She tried to kill me!"

Back in the maze, Ned starts running as we hear him protest: "This is all too much, I don't even know you."

Fans already know that Scarlett's scheming goes according to plan, as the aforementioned images depict her holding a knife over a wounded Ned. But he isn't the only one that she injures in the process. In their attempt to save Ned from Scarlett, Yashvi and Bea Nilsson (Bonnie Anderson) also get hurt by the crazed character.

Will anyone be able to stop Scarlett and come to their rescue in time?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Wednesday, October 30 and Thursday, October 31 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours announces Christie Whelan Browne is returning as Scarlett Brady
Ned Willis' stalker was last seen in October.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a33915273/neighbours-scarlett-brady-christie-whelan-browne-return/

Neighbours has announced that Christie Whelan Browne is returning as Scarlett Brady.

Christie played stalker Scarlett in September and October 2019, with the character last seen taken into custody after she stabbed and tried to kill Ned Willis (Ben Hall).

No story details about her return have been confirmed yet, but Christie said that she was "excited" to be back.

"Scarlett is complex, and I knew the storyline that was planned was going to be very fun," she said. "It is fun to play her and try and empathise with her actions."

The star added that she was five weeks pregnant when she returned to the set.

"It was so comforting to be able to continue to work during the pandemic. And the attention to safety and everyone's wellbeing was so strong, I never felt concerned," she said.

"I arrived to start my stint on the show and I was five weeks pregnant. It was still a secret at that point, so Nurse Sally looked out for me every day.

"It was pretty amazing to think my baby was making a debut on one of Australia's most iconic shows while only a tiny embryo. That's something he can brag about to the other babies in the nursery at the hospital when he is born."

Christie also praised co-star Ben Hall, calling him "a complete pro".

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

An article in TV Week magazine:

"The time has come for Ned to start painting a portrait of Scarlett as a gift for her fiance.

He doesn't want to - after all, she stalked and stabbed him last year - but Scarlett (Christie Whelan-Browne) is blackmailing him and he's backed into a corner.

"He's sick to his stomach," Ben Hall, 28, who plays Ned, explains. "Not only does he feel guilty about hiding it all from Yashvi (Olivia Junkeer), his PTSD is giving him flashbacks to when Scarlett stabbed him in the maze."

Unhinged Scarlett loves seeing Ned so unnerved, but her mood shifts when she suspects he's not doing his best work.

"She believes he isn't taking the project seriously," Christie says. "This was the one thing she asked of him and he can't even commit to that."

Can Ned get out of this without Scarlett harming him once again?"

Neighbours reveals full details of Scarlett Brady's disturbing return storyline
Ned Willis will come face to face with his attempted killer again.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a34022465/neighbours-spoilers-scarlett-brady-return-storyline/

Neighbours has revealed Scarlett Brady's disturbing return storyline, as she seeks revenge on Ned Willis.

Viewers have seen Ned (Ben Hall) planning an art exhibition, although he has been relying on one fan on a website called Fandangle to make up for a lack of funds. While at first he was happy to receive money from the art commissions, he has been growing increasingly uncomfortable by his client's more personal requests, including nude photos.

In scenes yet to air in Australia and the UK (via TV Soap magazine), Ned ? weighed down by keeping secret the fact that he has been receiving payment for nude content ? treats Yashvi (Olivia Junkeer) to a mini-break where he also plans to come clean.

However, he is interrupted by numerous texts from his fan and is forced to meet up with them.

That fan turns out to be none other than Ned's stalker and attempted killer Scarlett (Christie Whelan Browne), who declares that she wants revenge over his rejection. Although Ned tries to appease Scarlett by apologising to her, Scarlett uses his nude content on Fandangle to blackmail him into doing one final commission: her portrait for her new fiance.

Ned reluctantly agrees, but struggles with PTSD and being face to face again with Scarlett. When he tries to back out in the middle of painting her portrait, Scarlett threatens to ruin his relationship with Yashvi.

Ned then tries to rush the painting, but Scarlett responds by grabbing a paint scraper and threatening to kill him if he doesn't do the job properly.

Yashvi eventually learns the truth about Scarlett from Ned as their relationship becomes uncertain, while Roxy Willis (Zima Anderson) angrily confronts Scarlett which may put Ned in more danger than before.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

AUST PACE!

Neighbours airs horror outcome to Scarlett Brady storyline
The plot's conclusion has now aired in Australia.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a34482865/neighbours-spoilers-scarlett-brady-horror-outcome/

Neighbours spoilers follow from Australian-pace episodes, which some UK readers may prefer to avoid.

Neighbours has aired an acid attack storyline on Australian screens, as Scarlett Brady's evil revenge plan came to a shocking conclusion.

The show has been revisiting the dark story of Scarlett (Christie Whelan Browne) and her obsession with Ned Willis (Ben Hall) in recent weeks, but the saga has now reached a disturbing end for Australian viewers.

Recent episodes airing on 10 Peach in Australia have seen Ned and his girlfriend Yashvi Rebecchi (Olivia Junkeer) team up against Scarlett after realising that she had faked her own death.

Well aware that Scarlett was in hiding, Ned and Yashvi decided to draw her out by staging a fake wedding ? knowing that it would infuriate her.

Sure enough, when Ned and Yashvi made a public show of exchanging their vows, Scarlett made her presence felt with an evil attempt to ruin the day.

Scarlett approached the couple and prepared to throw acid at Ned, but when she was blocked by policeman Levi Canning (Richie Morris), the liquid spilled and Scarlett fell victim to her own horrific attack.

As Scarlett sustained serious facial burns, she was rushed to hospital and initially refused to cooperate with the police.

It was only when Ned bravely visited her hospital room, accompanied by the police, that he managed to goad her into a confession over her cruel efforts to frame him for murder.

The shocked Ramsay Street residents later received news that Scarlett would be staying in hospital for some time and was likely to be admitted back into a psychiatric facility afterwards.

Ned and Yashvi, meanwhile, were left to pick up the pieces of their relationship ? wondering whether things would ever be the same again after such a difficult time.

Neighbours fans in the UK will see these dramatic scenes on Channel 5 in three weeks' time.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
