I just wanted everyone who didn't see, or for those who would just like to know
They dedicated todays omnibus (sp?) to Gretchen,
Which i though was very nice

Mods, close this iif you like, but i just thought you'd liek to know!

Right at the end of the credits, it said

i never realised, i turned off by that point, awww thats so sweet and thoughtful, good on eastenders!!!

19.02.1916 possibly? thats the characters bday, maybe not gretchins tough :searchme:

I'd like to live that long as long as I was still active and able to get around and be independant - if being 94 meant having someone having to do everything for me.....I'm sorry but thats not for me.

It was lovely for them to dedicate it to her though - Apparently Anna Wing is now the oldest surviving character - she's 93

Anna was born in 1914 and is only 91.
