1st spoilers- from the bbc press office:
Spooks
A high-octane two-part feature-length special launches the return of critically acclaimed Bafta, RTS and TRIC awardwinning Spooks for a new season this autumn on BBC ONE.
MI5's crack team of spies was left reeling after the shocking death of Danny at the hands of hostage-takers as the last series concluded.
Now Adam (Rupert Penry-Jones), Harry (Peter Firth), Ruth (Nicola Walker), Fiona (Olga Sosnovska) and rising star Zafar (Raza Jaffrey) set out to become even stronger in their battle to safeguard the nation.
The fourth series opens with an action-packed special which leaves MI5 with only 48 hours to prevent a catastrophe.
Adam faces one of the most difficult choices of his career in order to save a hospital from devastation: will he be forced to let a brave and innocent young woman die?
The special, directed by Antonia Bird, introduces Anna Chancellor as Juliet Shaw, National Security Co-ordinator and Harry's nemesis - and also a figure from his past; it also guest stars Martine McCutcheon in her first UK TV role since leaving EastEnders.
Guest artists starring in the series include Rupert Graves, Jimi Mistry, George Baker and David Threlfall, and there are return appearances from Hugh Simon and Rory Macgregor.
Sounds good stuff I love Spooks and I can't wait for it's return

Oh spooks is great, the BBc were deciding wether they where going to show the 1st 2 episode's of spooks after the bombing in London. They might just edit some of instead tho, so it doesn't offend too many people.

Sounds good, cant wait :D
I like Spooks, got into it last year.
I like Zaf, as i saw him in Bombay Dreams - the musical.
Thursday 13th Oct:
MI5 is alerted to a potential terror attack being orchestrated from
prison by an Algerian terrorist,Malek (Jimi Mistry),as the drama
continues. In an unorthodox and risky move,he is set free so that
he can be tracked to the terrorist cell. But as they start their
surveillance, the team discovers he isn ’t the man they thought he
was,and find themselves taking a perilous journey to safeguard
innocent people.
Thursday 20th Oct:
When MI5 becomes aware of an approach from a Syrian diplomat
attempting to begin secret talks with the UK in order to
overthrow the Syrian government,Fiona volunteers to go
undercover and make contact,as the spy drama continues. But as
the team prepares to start its covert operation,it becomes clear
that Fiona has another agenda.
Years ago,Fiona was locked into a disastrous marriage with a
Syrian secret service officer,Farook. She was saved by Adam and
her husband was executed.Ever since,Fiona has lived under an
alias to avoid detection by the Syrians. But Fiona has another
secret:she has discovered that her ex-husband was never killed
and that he ’s out to get her.Now she ’s determined to provoke a
confrontation and,at last,escape her past.
Thurs 27th Oct
Adam is in denial, unable to comprehend the shocking reality of
Fiona ’s death,as the spy drama continues.
Meanwhile,MI5 finds itself forced to rely on an old traitor from
the Cold War era,Hugo Ross,to infiltrate a Russian firm suspected
of stealing secrets from GCHQ.Adam insists on spearheading the
operation but it rapidly becomes clear that he ’s unable to cope.

Olga Sosnovska, who is leaving to have a baby, makes a dramatic exit. Her ex-husband shoots her character, Fiona Carter It's a terrific, shocking end for Fiona, which will have viewers gripped

Lol, keep dreaming hunni!
Lol, keep dreaming hunni!:rotfl: Be nice or I won't post any more spoilers :rotfl: (not that you wouldn't be able to find em yourself!!! Though saying that, I like my men a bit beefier anyway!! He's just very nice to look at !!
It'll be interesting to see Fiona's reaction to seeing her supposed dead ex-husband though - he was supposed to have been assassinated!!
Jessie Wallace
12-10-2005, 13:09
Yeah, i think i'd properbly run very fast in the other direction. (if not just to find the loo, after a shock like that!)
Though I am sure I read that she goes after him!
Jessie Wallace
12-10-2005, 13:21
You'd want to make sure it was him, but i'd still be too freaked out to do that straight away!
I wouldn't even go there lol - I am too much of a wimp. Though her character is very strong minded etc so thats probably why she does
Harry is intent on protecting MI5 against what he sees as US
influence and interference,as the spy drama continues. When he
intercepts the CIA illegally extraditing a prisoner,Khurvin, from the
UK,he intervenes and forces the prisoner ’s release.Khurvin
subsequently murders his MI5 surveillance team,Harry is
suspended and Juliet takes control under increasing pressure to
fire him.

Please don't tell me Harry's next to leave because untill now he's the only one to have seen his job safe and plus with Fiona being killed off he just can't leave he is what Spooks is all about!!
Thanks for posting that- I was trying to find out what happens after Fiona's death but couldn't.
No probs - i am a complete addict!! lol - the above is episode 9 of 10 aswell, so there will just be one left after that :crying:

Harry cant leave there's only him and ruth malcolm and colin left from the original team and besides I'm not too keen on juliet. So many people have left since the series started: Fiona, Danny, Zoe, Tom, Sam, Tessa...ect. If harry left it would be the end of spooks

Harry can't leave! no he is Spooks! and Spooks is Harry!
no, i son't like the sound of this.
I agree to many people have left... and I don't like Juliet anyway she's annoying can't she leave!
I didn't really like the character of Fiona but i found myself just about in tears when she died in Adam's arms
Jessie Wallace
21-10-2005, 12:19
I don't mind if Harry leaves, i think the show can go on without him, It's not his character that makes me watch it, it the storylines, coz they are amazing and very clever.

It was so sad when Fiona died poor Adam and Wes, she got herself killed really 'cause she knew they were on to her. Great episode though Spooks is getting better and better I think.
She got herself killed, but when she found out that her ex was alive, she knew either she had to kill him herself, or he would kill either her or Adam....... It was so sad, but in some ways I'm not going to miss Fiona to that extent - I don't think she made a massive impact on the show.

Spooks stars Raza Jaffrey and Miranda Raison are dating.
The pair fell for each other during filming for the BBC One spy drama, and were recently spotted enjoying a romantic break together in New York.
"The attraction between them was pretty instant," a source on the show told The Mirror. "They didn't want everyone to make a big thing of it, especially as Miranda is new to the show, but they couldn't help themselves.
"They tried to keep things as low-key as possible but they're very happy. It's an open secret. There's real chemistry between them and they're enjoying spending time together."
Another insider added, "[Miranda] and Raza got together at the wrap party in August after filming had finished. They were concerned what the bosses might say, but everyone's been great about it."
Raza is better known as Zafar Younis on the series, while Miranda plays Jo Portman

aww sweet, you can even see the chemistry on screen!
I know what you mean about hearing it offically, i'm just hoping its not true, but if it is.....
They do make a nice couple though don't they.....
Please don't tell me Harry's next to leave because untill now he's the only one to have seen his job safe and plus with Fiona being killed off he just can't leave he is what Spooks is all about!!
Thanks for posting that- I was trying to find out what happens after Fiona's death but couldn't.I dont think it would matter if Harry left. The programme is bigger than him. True he is and interesting and well acted character but theshow has proven in the past that it can go on following a death of a leading character. I will miss Fiona more but thats just a male thing
I agree Alan - Harry doesn't actually get involved in operations to that extent and the programme certainly could survive without him.
I won't really miss Fiona to that extent - she didn't feature much in this series and I sometimes found her a little bit wooden, but still very good. I'll be interested to see how they "replace" her, if its with Ruth going out in the field more again, or if there will be an new introduction (which I doubt as there are only 3 eppys left)...

anna chancellor will always be duck face to me!!!!!
(i'm talking about 4 weddings and a funeral by the way)lol and me too BW - though I think the fact that I don't like her character at all doesn't help! She seems to be always wanting to take the credit or make orders that are completely silly, but make sure someone else has to take the blame when decisions she makes are wrong....
i can not wait for the priness diana episode :D

What a fantastic episod this week. So topical and believable. Next weeks Princess Di one should be fantasttic too. This is a brilliant and well written show. Well done BBC.
I am so gutted that the Diana episode is the last in the series though :(
This episode was excellent - like you say alan, topical, believable, well acted and written. The series' seem to come to an end far too quickly though...
just found out that the princess diana episode might not be shown on bb3 tomorrow night and we'll have to wait until next thursday....read this on DS....apparently they do that every year?????

They've never shown the final episode on BBC3 before the transmission on BBC1  Just means I'll have to watch last weeks on bbc1 again so I don't get withdrawal symptoms!!!! lol

That was an excellent episode. I loved it at the end when Harry, Adam and Wez went to the races and wez called him uncle harry. Ruth and harry are soo sweet its cute when every now and again they have little moments  The preview clip for the next one is really good nice to see a little attitude from ruth
So thats why there was no episode on BBC3 tonight
So thats why there was no episode on BBC3 tonightIt always annoys me - why can't they show us it anyway - we've seen all the others  I don't like waiting 2 weeks for the next one...

Well done to the bbc for showing such a contrversial and real story about
princess di in an imaginative and thought provoking way. If they were goin to raise the issues then spooks is the beast way to do it! :cheer: :cheer:
Hermione Norris is joining the cast of BBC One spy drama, Spooks.
The actress, best known for her role as Karen Marsden in Cold Feet, has agreed to play tough MI5 agent Ros.
"Ros is much nastier than anyone expects and really shakes up the team," a source told The Mirror. "Producers hope she will give the show more of an edge."
Norris's first episodes will air late next year.
Excellent news. Hermione will be a fantastic addition to the beebs best drama
what a great addition to the cast...shame that i dont watch it anymore! :crying:

I absolutely adore Spooks :D I got series 2 and 3 on box set at home :)
Is she going to be an addition though, or a replacement?? Is this a sign towards what happened at the end of the last series??? :searchme:
DaVeyWaVey
01-01-2006, 23:19
I think she is a replacement and a new addition to the team. She will probably be replacing Fiona who was killed in the last series. I think she suits a part as an MI5 agent in spooks :)
Thats a thought, but I thought that Jo replaced Fiona - I just hope this doesnt signify the end of Adam or Harry. Adam for the fact that Wes had already lost his mum so didn't really deserve to lose his dad too, and Harry as he has been in it since year dot and Peter Firth is fab!! :D
