Georgie Stone to play character Mackenzie Hargreaves.
Neighbours to introduce its first transgender character as Georgie Stone joins the soap in guest role
She hopes the story can "teach other people how to treat trans young people".
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a26915706/neighbours-first-transgender-character-georgie-stone-guest-role/
Neighbours has broken ground with its LGBTQ+ representation through Aaron and David's relationship, and now they are taking it one step further.
The Australian soap is set to introduce its first ever transgender character this year, after transgender role model Georgie Stone approached the show's executives a year ago to discuss introducing the character.
Georgie is known as Australia's youngest ever person to receive hormone blockers and successfully campaigned for a change in the law regarding treatment.
Stone took that pro-active approach in getting her role on Neighbours too, telling the Herald Sun: "I came up with the idea of having a trans young person on the show so I wrote a letter to the executive producer, Jason Herbison, with a few ideas on how it could happen."
Apparently she got a response from the show within two hours of sending that letter, which is crazy.
"Both my parents have been on Neighbours so I have grown up with the show," Stone added.
When watching it I could see that essentially, amid all the drama and soapy stuff, it is about human stories and genuine stories that reflect the viewers and society as a whole, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to tell a story that isn’t often told on Australian TV."
Georgie will start filming for her guest role on the soap in June, and she will appear on screens for the first time later in the year.
"When I was growing up as a trans young person, I did not see anyone out there who I could relate to," she continued.
"There was no one on Australian TV screens, on any TV screens really, that had a positive depiction of a trans person, specifically a trans young person. There was no one who I could connect to and I felt quite isolated because of that, so that is why I am so excited about this opportunity."
She added: "Yes, it is breaking new ground, it is a great story, and people will really like it, but I really hope that there will be some trans young people out there who have felt isolated before and then see this character and feel that they are not alone, or that they feel OK to be who they are, and that this story can teach other people how to treat trans young people."
Neighbours' executive producer Jason Herbison also commented on the casting, praising Georgie as an "exceptional young woman".
"Georgie approached us last year regarding a guest role and I could see she was passionate about acting," he said. "Seeing her talent during the audition process, I knew she would be able to tell the story truthfully and authentically."
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

So Neighbours is propaganda promoting mental illness now? We shouldn't be normalising this. After transitioning and hormone treatment, suicide rates are still through the roof. It's not a solution.
You ever think the suicide rates are like that because of people like you who spread hate when they are just trying their best to be happy with themselves?
Everyone is welcome on Ramsay St... remember that.

A great move by Neighbours. Gay and lesbian people are now almost mainstream and we need to do the same for transgender people.

So to understand the issues surrounding transgenderism, I need to convert and then kill myself because I realised it didn't solve anything? It's people like me who are trying to find a solution that doesn't result in their suicides instead of blindly following the SJW who sugar coat the dangers of an (unattainable) utopia.
Self mutilation shouldn't be normalised.
I didn’t say, kill yourself. It’s not a mental health issue.

Actually, gender dysphoria is a mental disorder according to the American Psychiatric Association, publisher of the universally accepted Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
And with good reason. There should be treatment to actually treat the psychological distresses associated with the feelings of being placed in the wrong body.
So Neighbours is propaganda promoting mental illness now? We shouldn't be normalising this. After transitioning and hormone treatment, suicide rates are still through the roof. It's not a solution.
Well, screw you, too.
Are you a transgender person? Are you in their shoes? Are you in their heads? No? Well, then leave the judgement at the door and let them be.
As someone else pointed out, everyone is welcome on Ramsay Street. You don't like it, don't watch.

Gender dysphoria and being transgender are not the same thing. The World Health Organization no longer classifies being transgender as a mental illness.
Calling transgender identity a mental illness is no different to people calling homosexuality a mental illness and forcing conversion therapy onto gay people to 'correct' them. Gay people are happiest and mentally healthiest in societies where homosexuality is decriminalised and accepted, not ones where they're labeled mentally ill.
The biggest dangers towards transgender people are the ignorant bigots who bully, attack and even kill them due to their prejudice and hatred. If you were genuinely trying to find a solution to prevent transgender suicides you would address the actual causes instead of ignorantly blaming SJW's like a teenage internet troll.
I'm pretty sure the this new actress's mental health is better from having viewers support her career, than having people call her casting 'propaganda promoting mental illness'.

Umm... A transgender person who is distressed by not being called the pronouns they want or wanting hormone treatment/want to transition because the bodies they were born is called Gender Dysphoria. This is different to gender nonconformity, whereby it's a choice, not a distressing feeling of a need to change. What's homosexuality got to do with what we're talking about. Don't muddle your arguments.
No, the biggest danger is normalising gender dysphoria patients (not people who are gender nonconformists) and maintaining it's the right thing to do when the facts are in: that giving into what they want (transitioning/hormone treatment/etc) isn't solving the problem. I will not apologise for not wanting to be complicit in suicides. You can reduce that to calling me a teenage troll, but that would say a lot more about you than me.
As someone else pointed out, everyone is welcome on Ramsay Street. You don't like it, don't watch.
Don't for 1 second feel that Neighbours is trying to put a spotlight on these kinds of things out of the goodness of their heart. They're trying to attract viewers and keep the show going because dwindling ratings is killing the show in Oz. After the next funding meeting Neighbours has in the UK, if they decide to pull funding, Neighbours is dead. They're using what little time they have left before renewing a broadcast/funding deal with whatever channel it plays on in the UK to piggy back on top of current social trends, hoping it will attract viewers. Hence the personalities they're trying to attract playing themselves. Hence Eve getting fired to reduce funding. Hence crew being let go to minimise costs, and skeleton crews going on location. Hence Eve's statement about whether the show would continue or not.
Instead of misguided virtue signalling, perhaps that should address the poor acting with some of their cast and the contrived nature of their writing. They're competing with the likes of Netflix. The demand for easily understood television is getting lesser and lesser as audiences are getting savvier. Neighbours won't exist in 10 years time.
And thanks for your permission to not watch it. I'll keep that in mind when the time comes and might check back here for spoilers when he/she/it/zhe/they leave Ramsay St to start watching again.

Sorry for heavily editing your post, but these are the bits I want to touch on.
It's apparent they've been doing this for upwards of a year. It's good in a way, highlighting issues and being a progressive show, but the downside is the use of what feels like endless guests who I, and probably others, haven't heard of. I live in Oz but didn't grow up here, and rarely watch any other shows - certainly not the ones the guests are drawn from. It doesn't make a blind bit of difference to me as a viewer who they are but it does have a negative impact when they are brought in for a week and gone again. Their storylines are created to be pretty inconsequential. Drop in, lift out. Pick up again if necessary. No one else is affected. Even Karl with his long lost sister. A train in the mail, a mention here and there.. but he's still the same.
It feels like the use of gimmicks in sports. A-League had a Star Wars round once, which was a bit odd. NRL had Marvel kits for one round. WCW Wrestling had 'on a pole...' matches. Kids for $1 tickets, sort of thing. It was like throwing anything and everything at the wall to see if it stuck. Anything to see a spike in ratings/ticket sales, but usually any spike is just for a short time because the show (Or anything..) reverts back to the norm and it's not good enough to retain the audience. If ratings are low (I don't know..) then the writing is, sadly, on the wall, unless out of blind loyalty or nostalgia, the network decides to keep funding it regardless.
Totally right about the standard of their storylines. I am not against it tackling social issues but to do it in a short-term way comes across pretty as pretty cynical if you consider the points above. They could, for instance, bring in a trans character and explore issues around that, the feelings they have and their decision, have the character be bullied and the bullies themselves learn to understand the person, overcome some odds, etc.. in the same sort of way they tackled David coming out and his and Aaron's wedding. Permanent characters showing that there is a place. Not this few weeks of something and 'didn't we all learn something today...' feel like Sesame Street before moving on and forgetting about it (assuming they do). Also, some racial diversity would be nice. It's Australia after all, almost everyone is from somewhere else.
They shouldn't need the guest stars and stunts; the show should sell itself. It could be so much better than it is.
nor is it a mental illness

Neighbours reveals new details of its first ever transgender storyline
Newcomer Mackenzie confides in Yashvi next week.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a28809357/neighbours-spoilers-mackenzie-hargreaves-georgie-stone-storyline/
Neighbours has confirmed details of the show's first ever transgender storyline, which begins on screen next week.
Show bosses have cast trans actress Georgie Stone in the role of newcomer Mackenzie Hargreaves, who befriends Yashvi Rebecchi (Olivia Junkeer) after joining Erinsborough High.
As the girls get to know each other, Yashvi starts to realise that she has met Mackenzie somewhere before.
Yashvi wonders if she crossed paths with Mackenzie in her old town of Bourke, a possibility that Mackenzie denies. However, viewers will soon discover that she is from the area after all and isn't telling Yashvi the true story.
When Mackenzie then starts to take a keen interest in Yasvhi's father Shane (Nicholas Coghlan), the situation becomes even more complicated. Getting carried away, Yashvi suspects that Mackenzie could be a secret love-child of Shane's.
Yashvi voices her concerns to Shane, who strongly denies that he'd ever cheat on his wife Dipi. However, he firmly refuses to explain his connection to Mackenzie, insisting that it's not his place to do so.
When Mackenzie finds out that Yashvi is coming up with wild theories, she finally explains that she did indeed grow up in Bourke and they even knew each other in primary school.
Mackenzie reveals that she was known as Michael at the time, but has since transitioned. She was only speaking to Shane as she wanted help tracking down her father.
Much to Mackenzie's delight, Yashvi is fully accepting and the girls agree to stay friends.
Georgie's casting in Neighbours was first announced in March and she started filming three months later. She landed the role after writing in to the Neighbours producers, suggesting they should bring in a transgender character.
Georgie recently told the Herald Sun: "I came up with the idea of having a trans young person on the show so I wrote a letter to the executive producer, Jason Herbison, with a few ideas on how it could happen.
"Both my parents have been on Neighbours so I have grown up with the show.
"When watching it I could see that essentially, amid all the drama and soapy stuff, it is about human stories and genuine stories that reflect the viewers and society as a whole, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to tell a story that isn’t often told on Australian TV."
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours to explore transphobia as Mackenzie Hargreaves' past is revealed
Can Yashvi and Mackenzie make up?
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a28888294/neighbours-transphobia-mackenzie-hargreaves-yashvi-rebecchi/
Neighbours is to explore the issue of transphobia as Mackenzie Hargreaves' past is revealed.
The soap has recently welcomed its first ever transgender character in the form of Mackenzie, and it will also tackle transphobia over the coming weeks when Yashvi makes an ignorant comment at her expense.
It comes after Yashvi remarks that her new friend Mackenzie "used to be a boy", unaware that this is a false and deeply offensive thing to say.
The drama begins when Yashvi and Mackenzie become friends and Mackenzie starts to open up about trans issues, only for someone to overhear them talking.
After mistakenly believing Harlow was the person to overhear them, the girls soon identify school bully Richie as the eavesdropper.
Looking to defend her friend, Yashvi confronts Richie, warning him to keep his mouth shut and yelling that he shouldn't care if Mackenzie "used to be a boy".
Their argument quickly attracts an audience of students and Mackenzie is horrified – not only because Yashvi has outed her, but also because she has proven she doesn't get who Mackenzie is at all.
Eventually, the pair make up, although Mackenzie still feels deeply wounded by the incident and the feeling that her friend doesn't really understand her.
Things are worsened further when parents, spearheaded by Angela Lane, start calling the school to air their concerns about Mackenzie.
Can their budding friendship recover?
Neighbours airs weekdays on Channel 5.

I don't see how used to be a boy is offensive. She did used to be a boy and still is if she has not fully transitioned. I get that gender is on a spectrum but sex is not, you are either male (have a penis) or female (have a vagina) so yes if she had a penis and no longer does she used to be a boy in terms of sex. I wish soaps wouldn't get involved in this **** because sometimes they preach false truths. Gender/sex are not the same thing. Yashvi is right she did "used to be a boy". My ex girlfriend (still a close friend of mine) identifies as a man now but that doesn't mean he was ever my ex boyfriend.
Also as stated early Transgenderism is not a mental illness, however to transition to being transgender you have to have gender disphoria which is a mental illness.

The phrasing is wrong because it suggests that at some point Mackenzie decided to ‘become a girl’ whereas she probably always felt like a girl trapped in a boy’s body. It’s not that it’s incorrect but it’s insensitive.

Transgender people have the same right to respect and dignity as anyone else, you don’t have to ‘agree’ with it but they’re not hurting anyone so there should be no issue here.

Yes she has probably considered herself a girl if not biologically then spiritually. Perhaps there are male and female souls? Regardless not something I would label as a mental illness rather sensing a mismatch between soul and body
The mental illness is gender dysphoria, being transgender is your gender identity. Gender and sex are different and an identity has absolutely nothing to do with what’s in your pants. That’s your business, no one else’s.

Neighbours transphobia sparks a school protest as Mackenzie's storyline continues
The teens stand up against prejudice in moving scenes.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a28952820/neighbours-spoilers-mackenzie-hargreaves-school-protest/
Neighbours newcomer Mackenzie Hargreaves receives a strong show of support from her schoolmates next week after experiencing transphobia at Erinsborough High.
When the pupils find out that Mackenzie (Georgie Stone) is transgender, trouble brews as some of them report back to their parents.
Prejudiced Angela Lane soon joins forces with a group of other angry parents to complain about Mackenzie using the girls' bathroom and changing rooms.
School principal Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) tries to deal with the situation, but some of the kids are influenced by the escalating tensions and start targeting Mackenzie too.
Yashvi Rebecchi (Olivia Junkeer) is shocked to find abusive graffiti on the girls' toilets, which is directed at Mackenzie. Mackenzie also receives a threatening note, warning her not to use the girls' bathrooms again.
Mark Brennan is brought on board to investigate the hateful behaviour, but Susan remains concerned for Mackenzie's safety and asks her to use the disabled toilets until the culprit is found.
Yashvi's dad Shane (Nicholas Coghlan), who is protective of Mackenzie, is furious when he finds out how Susan has handled the situation – believing she's condoning the abuse by encouraging the teen to use another bathroom.
Yashvi is also unhappy with the school's policy and decides to protest by only using the disabled toilets in a show of solidarity.
A number of other students feel the same way, queueing up at the disabled toilets to show their support for Mackenzie after the abuse she has faced.
Everyone is shocked when troublemaker Richie joins the line too, taking a more mature approach than anyone would have expected.
However, when mean boy Ollie remains opposed to Mackenzie's presence, it's clear that a small minority of the pupils aren't so understanding.
Neighbours airs these scenes on Tuesday, September 17 and Wednesday, September 18 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

So this bit was yesterday. I thought it was really badly written.
The reveal with Dipi and Shane was good, Yashvi looked like she understood it all and would be supportive. Then the scenes with Harlow were also fine. But then Yashvi goes against everything they had discussed earlier in the episode and for a few days before. Possibly far better if someone else had outed her because they wouldn't be aware of Mackenzie's express wishes and past bullying problems. Perhaps even Yashvi's younger sister who didn't listen to the whole thing at home and isn't aware of the bigger issue. Then rumour spreads in their year, through school and to Richie that way. Makes Yashvi look stupid and selfish.

Neighbours shock for Mackenzie Hargreaves as Shane Rebecchi makes huge confession
Can she ever forgive him?
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a29056665/neighbours-spoilers-mackenzie-hargreaves-shane-rebecchi-confession/
Neighbours teen Mackenzie Hargreaves is left distraught next week as Shane Rebecchi makes a guilty confession about the past.
Mackenzie (Georgie Stone) can't believe what she's hearing as Shane admits that he's partly to blame for one of the most upsetting days of her life.
The pair's ongoing storyline has seen Shane (Nicholas Coghlan) loyally support Mackenzie as she tries to track down her father Grant.
Upcoming scenes also see Shane jump to Mackenzie's defence as she faces transphobia at Erinsborough High, but it seems that he may be overcompensating for his own past mistakes.
When Shane gets a strong lead on where Grant may be, Mackenzie fears that she's setting herself up for a fall by reaching out to the father who once rejected her.
Mackenzie opens up to Shane about how Grant once burned all of her feminine belongings, unable to accept her for who she is.
This revelation leaves Shane deeply shaken, as he realises that Grant's act of cruelty directly stemmed from some bad advice that he'd given at the time.
When Shane confides in his wife Dipi (Sharon Johal), she's sympathetic but advises that it's best to tell Mackenzie the truth before she hears it from anyone else.
Bracing himself, Shane meets up with Mackenzie at Lassiters Lake and confesses his involvement.
Mackenzie is shattered to learn that Shane – now her greatest defender – played a crucial role in such an upsetting moment, which ultimately destroyed her family. Can she ever forgive him for this?

Neighbours hints at possible romance for newcomer Mackenzie Hargreaves
Mackenzie and Hendrix get close.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a29064567/neighbours-mackenzie-hargreaves-romance/
Neighbours could be seeing a romance for Mackenzie Hargreaves, as she and Hendrix Greyson kiss.
In scenes airing next week, Mackenzie (Georgie Stone) continues trying to track down her father Grant with Shane Rebecchi (Nicholas Coghlan), which makes Yashvi Rebecchi (Olivia Junkeer) feel excluded.
Later, Mackenzie and Hendrix (Benny Turland) meet and flirt at Sheila Canning's (Colette Mann) birthday party.
Mackenzie's anxiety then leads her to abruptly leave the party, and afterwards, Mackenzie tells Shane that she finds it difficult to know when to tell potential romantic partners that she is transgender.
Mackenzie eventually tells Hendrix that she is transgender, and although Hendrix is initially surprised, he says that nothing changes and he still thinks Mackenzie is the most attractive girl at the party.
The pair continue to spend time together, and Mackenzie soon leans in for a kiss.
Earlier this month, Neighbours announced a spin-off series centred on Erinsborough High and commissioned by Channel 5.
Mackenzie will feature in the five-part series, as well as Hendrix, Yashvi, and Lachlan Millar (Richie Amblin).
The spin-off will launch in November and the storyline "will run in parallel" to the soap.

“A mum messaged my mum about how her daughter was camping with a friend and while on that trip told her she was trans,” Stone said.
“And her friend said, ‘It is OK, I absolutely accept you, I have been watching Neighbours’.
“Hearing that made me so emotional and made me realise that story we told was getting across to people and making an impact.”
Stone has now signed a new deal with the show that will make her a full-time character. She starts filming in January.
Stone, 19, said she was thrilled to stay with the show.
“I would like to stay for as long as I feel there are more stories to tell for Mackenzie,’’ she said.
Stone pitched the idea of Neighbours introducing a transgender character played by her to producers in March 2018. She will continue to provide insight to producers on the trans experience so Mackenzie’s character can be authentic and evolve.
“What we wanted to do from the start and will get the opportunity to do now is really just look at who she is absolutely outside of her being trans,” Stone said.
“She is who she is as a person, but anything to do with her trans experience they will check with me to make sure it rings true.”

Neighbours reveals new storyline for Mackenzie Hargreaves as she joins the main cast
Mackenzie and Roxy come up with a plan to keep Mackenzie in Erinsborough.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a31900142/neighbours-mackenzie-storyline-georgie-stone-main-cast/
Neighbours has confirmed new details of an upcoming storyline for Mackenzie Hargreaves now that Georgie Stone has been promoted to series regular on the soap.
In scenes that are set to air early next month, Mackenzie arrives after Gary Canning's (Damien Richardson) funeral with an important question to ask the Rebecchis.
However, when Mackenzie comes face to face with Dipi (Sharon Johal) and Shane's (Nicholas Coghlan) stress and grief following the death of their friend, she falters and decides not the ask the couple her question.
Looking to talk her problems through with someone, Mackenzie then turns to Roxy (Zima Anderson) and reveals that her aunt Trish is moving to Fremantle for work and has told Mackenzie that she can only stay in Erinsborough if the Rebecchis agree to take her in.
Later, Dipi and Shane reconcile their differences after they receive some much-needed advice from the latter's brother Toadie (Ryan Moloney) and start to come to terms with their grief over Gary's death.
Seeing the twosome in higher spirits, Mackenzie gears up to make her proposal but something Toadie says soon throws a spanner in the works.
Desperate, Mackenzie and Roxy conjure up a plan to keep the former from leaving: Mackenzie will tell her aunt that she's staying at Number 22, but she'll actually stay living in Trish's apartment instead.
To convince Trish to let Mackenzie stay, though, Roxy will need to play the good girl of the house. Will the pair's plot work?
Neighbours airs these scenes on Wednesday, April 1, Thursday, April 2 and Friday, April 3 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Paul gave him the money to pay back Jane, after the catfishing incident (otherwise Jane wouldn't have seen any of her money again). So he has still been hanging around to pay back Paul - & Paul doesn't realise he is getting the money by breaking into people's houses etc!. He needed a place to stay (couldn't obviously stay at the backpackers), so I think it was just a coincidence that he answered Mackenzie's advert for a housemate (I hope I have remembered all that correctly!).
Her diary reading on today's episode gutted me. Such a great character.

Neighbours' Mackenzie Hargreaves left shocked by Harlow Robinson's behaviour
Mac is concerned over her friend's lack of compassion.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a38317524/neighbours-spoilers-mackenzie-harlow-behaviour/
Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours' Mackenzie Hargreaves will be left unnerved after noticing Harlow Robinson's change in behaviour.
In recent months, Harlow (Jemma Donovan) has displayed an uncharacteristically ruthless side more associated with her grandfather than herself, including sabotaging Chloe Brennan at work and showing less empathy towards other people.
In upcoming scenes on 10 Peach and Channel 5, Mackenzie (Georgie Stone) and Hendrix Greyson (Benny Turland) find out about Kyle Canning's (Chris Milligan) cancer diagnosis after returning from a trip.
Hendrix experienced a scare of his own not long ago when he feared he had cancer. The teen was helped through it by Kyle.
So it's not surprising that the news hits Hendrix quite hard. He feels awful that he's not been able to support Kyle through this difficult time, and is keen to rectify that by being there for his friend.
Jumping at the chance to help Kyle, Hendrix goes with Mackenzie to help Roxy Willis (Zima Anderson) buy a dress for the upcoming Police Ball.
But things go a little wrong later on when Hendrix decides to make a saucy pasta.
Elsewhere, Mackenzie is a little troubled when Harlow appears to lack compassion for what Kyle and Roxy are going through. She also notices her best friend acting rather negative and demanding.
Mackenzie begins to wonder why Harlow's been behaving so differently.
Harlow's changed behaviour recently resulted in Brent Colefax breaking up with her during his Erinsborough return.

Neighbours' Mackenzie Hargreaves struggles after demands from Montana Marcel
Mackenzie faces a battle over her modelling.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a39687857/neighbours-spoilers-mackenzie-hargreaves-montana-marcel-demands/
Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours' Mackenzie Hargreaves will face a dilemma next week, after demands from Montana Marcel force her to choose between her fashion work and her uni course.
Mackenzie (Georgie Stone) recently agreed to do some modelling work for fashion guru Montana (Tammin Sursok), who is running a Fashion Week at Lassiters, and she has been excited about having the opportunity to represent the trans community in such a positive light.
Next week, Mackenzie is thrilled to realise that she has helped to make the launch of Fashion Week a big success and that she is being celebrated by her community for her work.
The model enjoys basking in Montana's praise, but she soon faces a panic when she realises that her next photoshoot will clash with her law school commitments.
Mackenzie tries to search for solutions but is thrown when Montana insists that her attendance at the shoot is non-negotiable ? leaving Mackenzie with a big dilemma.
Eventually, she decides that she can't miss the promo shoot, and so she ropes her classmates in to cover for her at uni so that she can meet Montana's demands.
Mackenzie's suddenly blas? attitude towards school worries her boyfriend, Hendrix Greyson (Ben Turland), but despite his concerns, he can't deny just how incredible she is at the shoot.
However, deep down, Hendrix is starting to fear that Mackenzie is becoming a little self-obsessed following her modelling work. Is he right, or does Mackenzie have a handle on things?
Neighbours airs these scenes on Thursday, April 21 and Friday, April 22 at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Wednesday, May 18 and Thursday, May 19 at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Will they be able to fix their relationship?
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a39749161/neighbours-rift-hendrix-greyson-mackenzie-hargreaves/
Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours couple Hendrix Greyson and Mackenzie Hargreaves are going to clash in upcoming scenes, as she struggles with her burgeoning modelling career.
We've already reported on how Mackenzie will start working for fashion mogul Montana, who is running a Fashion Week at Lassiters, as she wants to positively represent the trans community, and starts letting her uni commitments slide as Montana demands she do more and more modelling work.
In scenes that will air next week, Mackenzie will still be bailing on her studies, and Hendrix won't be able to keep hiding his disappointment.
The pair will clash, with Mackenzie accusing him of not showing support for her new venture, while Hendrix believes that she is becoming too self centered and he is losing the real her.
Will they be able to work things out between them, or is the beginning of the end of their relationship?
We hope it's not the latter, as we all know that Neighbours is quickly coming to an end, and we'd hate for one of its most refreshing couples to not be together when the final episode airs.
Speaking of the last-ever episode, which is scheduled to air on August 1, former star Zima Anderson exclusively talked to Digital Spy about the possibility of Roxy Willis returning.
"There's nothing in the books," the Roxy Willis actress told Digital Spy.
"I think [Anderson's co-star] Chris Milligan is back home in the Gold Coast now. But if they asked us, I'd be happy to pop in and say hello. It'd be so fun if Roxy had a baby bump... I'd be there in a heartbeat! It's so exciting for them. I'm very happy and proud for them."

Neighbours star Georgie Stone reveals real-life sacrifice she's making for show finale
Georgie will miss out on an exciting opportunity.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a39980964/neighbours-spoilers-georgie-stone-show-finale/
Neighbours star Georgie Stone has revealed that she's missing her own premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in order to appear in the show's final episodes.
The actress, who plays Mackenzie Hargreaves in the long-running soap, recently announced that she would premiere a very personal short film at this year's festival in New York City.
Georgie is starring in a short documentary titled The Dreamlife of Georgie Stone, exploring her journey from childhood into adulthood ? and her inspiring activism along the way.
Long before her Neighbours role, Georgie made history as the youngest person to receive hormone blockers in Australia.
She successfully campaigned to change the law for other young transgender people to have access to this treatment without having to go through the nation's Family Court.
While the news of a Tribeca premiere for Georgie's film was exciting, it also posed a problem for her as the festival directly clashes with shooting on Neighbours' final ever episodes this June.
Georgie told Digital Spy: "It does clash with the end of Neighbours. A choice had to be made and I chose Neighbours.
"I'm not going to go over to New York, unfortunately. It's a real shame, but how could I not choose the end of Neighbours?
"Firstly, I'm contractually obligated! Secondly, even if I wasn't, I would choose to anyway because this is a moment in history. This iconic, 37-year-old Australian legend is coming to an end.
"I have to be a part of that and I have to finish Mackenzie's story, which I've invested the last three years in. So I will be there!"
She added: "There'll be more premieres for the film. It is launching onto Netflix later in the year, so there will be more opportunities."
Neighbours will shoot its last scenes on June 10, with a host of familiar faces back in time for the finale.
The iconic soap is ending following Channel 5's decision to drop the show, which left production company Fremantle with a funding shortfall.
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 and streams on My5. In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach and streams on 10 Play.

Neighbours reveals aftermath of tragic death story
It's another sad week on Ramsay Street.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a40271768/neighbours-spoilers-hendrix-death-aftermath/
Neighbours spoilers follow.
The fallout from Hendrix's death continues in Neighbours next week and while Mackenzie is putting on a brave face, it is clear that she is struggling more than she is letting on.
When the week starts, two memorials are being busily planned, one in Sydney for family, and a fun, upbeat one in Erinsborough with his friends.
Mackenzie, Karl, and Susan make the trip to Sydney, where Mac scatters half of his ashes. The others try to enjoy the day by the lake while keeping the atmosphere as upbeat as Hendrix would have wanted.
For Mac, it is an almost unbearably sad day and while she does take a moment to say one last goodbye to Hendrix, everyone is aware of what a tough journey she has ahead of her.
But once the memorials are over, Mackenzie, who also has to say goodbye to her best friend after Harlow unexpectedly leaves for London, is forced to face what her life will look like now.
Knowing how much she needs the support, Grant makes his way back to Ramsay Street and his daughter is grateful to have him by her side.
And it seems that his arrival has helped her as she seems to be doing much better as the week nears its end. But Mac doing okay is a worry as far as Toadie is concerned, and he voices his concerns that she may not be coping as well as she claims to be.
Is Mackenzie burying her grief and if so, will anybody be able to find a way to get her to deal with all that has happened in a healthy way?
As for how the tragic storyline came about, Shane Isheev, script producer at Neighbours, said on Twitter that it came about when Ben Turland quit his Hendrix role, with Georgie Stone wanting to have the "full soap experience".

Neighbours' Mackenzie Hargreaves to hide her grief for Hendrix Greyson
Friends and family fail to notice how much she's struggling.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a40337371/neighbours-spoilers-mackenzie-hargreaves-hendrix-greyson-grief/
Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours' Mackenzie Hargreaves misses out on the support she needs next week as she hides how much she's struggling following Hendrix Greyson's death.
Mackenzie was recently left devastated as her husband Hendrix tragically passed away just a few days after their fairytale wedding ceremony.
In next week's episodes on Channel 5, everyone is surprised by how well Mackenzie appears to be handling her grief.
Mackenzie graciously accepts a letter from her neighbour Sadie Rodwell, who blames herself for Hendrix's death.
Sadie and her friend Aubrey Laing were responsible for starting the Erinsborough High fire that triggered Hendrix's pre-existing health issues.
Mackenzie also concentrates her own efforts on supporting those around her, who are also struggling with the loss of Hendrix.
Once alone, however, Mackenzie secretly destroys the letter from Sadie and lets her pain out. It's clear that she's not coping as well as everyone thinks.
Later in the week, Mackenzie attends a grief group and gets a glimpse into the hurt that other Erinsborough residents are still feeling after Hendrix's death.
This weighs heavily on Mackenzie, but when she speaks about how she's coping, her father Grant is impressed that she seems strong.
However, with Mackenzie continuing to bury her own pain, can this fragile situation really last for much longer?
Georgie Stone, who plays Mackenzie, recently spoke to Digital Spy about how her character's grief storyline will play out in the final weeks of Neighbours.
She told us: "I'm very protective of Mackenzie. I love her and I want her to be okay.
"I think in telling stories about grief, we need to acknowledge and show people that there is hope afterwards and your life doesn't end with this loss.
"I think it would be a disservice to this wonderful trans character, who has meant so much to so many people, to have her end in this really dark, devastating place."
Georgie continued: "We have to service the story and we can't sweep her grief under the carpet. I didn't want that and I made sure that wasn't the case.
"But we also have a responsibility not to depress our audience too much. Also, I didn't know how long I could take it ? I was so exhausted from all the emotional storylines and I didn't know if I could take it for much longer! There needs to be some hope."
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 and streams on My5. In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach and streams on 10 Play.

If I remember correctly, I think Mike bought/was about to buy No. 24 in last year's finale. Now, it appears that Jane then moved into No. 24 (with Mike). Then at the beginning of this series she 'rented' it out to the Varga-Murphys for the short period while she went over to England to see Mike. Now she has returned to No. 24 & the Varga-Murphys have bought N0. 30 from Toadie.

Neighbours reveals Mackenzie Hargreaves? first love interest since Hendrix Grayson?s tragic death and we?re in total shock
https://metro.co.uk/2023/10/16/neighbours-reveals-mackenzies-new-love-interest-in-mammoth-twist-19661831/?ito=newsnow-feed
Neighbours spoilers follow for Monday?s (October 13) episode that is now available to stream on Amazon Freevee.
Mackenzie Hargreaves (Georgie Stone) has decided that it was time to look to the future as she went out on her first date since the death of her beloved husband Hendrix Grayson (Ben Turland).
Hendrix, as viewers will recall, tragically died last year ? though two years ago within the show?s universe ? after his body rejected new lungs following a transplant which he needed after being diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis.
Mackenzie has struggled to move on in the years that followed, though she?s secretly harbouring feelings for housemate Haz (Shiv Palekar), who encouraged her to go on this date.
There was heartbreak on the cards, with Mack?s date not showing up, but not all hope was lost, however, with dashing newcomer Ed (Costa D?Angelo) crossing her path at The Waterhole.
With Mackenzie quite tipsy after a number of cocktails at the bar, Ed proved himself to be quite the gentleman as he told her that he?d wait by her side while she got a taxi home.
His generosity and kindness took Mack by surprise and it became clear that there was chemistry between the two.
Things, however, are set to get seriously complicated, with subsequent scenes confirming that Ed?s full name is actually Eden and, yes, he?s the ex-boyfriend of Holly Hoyland (Lucinda Armstrong Hall).
Awkward.
Holly opened up about her difficult split with Eden shortly after Neighbours returned to screens, confiding in Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) that they separated due to Eden having cheated on her.
Eden?s actions largely played a role in why Holly was lashing out at the beginning of the new series, so it?s likely that him coming back into her life will knock her for six.
But will Mackenzie discover who Eden is before anything happens between them? And what?s more, just what is Eden doing in Erinsborough?
Has he come back to make things right with Holly? Or is it Mackenzie now who he?s interested in?

Neighbours' Mackenzie Hargreaves to clash with Haz Devkar amid Byron rumours
Drama at the share house.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a46032560/neighbours-spoilers-mackenzie-haz-clash/
Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours fans will see Mackenzie Hargreaves and Haz Devkar fall out next week following rumours of an unexpected hook-up at the share house.
Mackenzie steps in to support her housemate Byron Stone in upcoming episodes after he's dumped by his long-distance girlfriend Reece Sinclair.
Reece cuts ties with Byron early next week, letting him down gently as she sends him a break-up present.
Mackenzie and Byron then bond over drinks. When they wake up the next morning, they're in bed together.
Haz is surprised to see Byron emerging half-dressed from Mackenzie's room and he assumes that they've slept together.
Seemingly jealous over the thought of Mackenzie moving on, Haz starts to sulk.
Haz's girlfriend Holly Hoyland couldn't be happier when she finds out, hoping that this potential new relationship eliminates Mackenzie as a possible love rival for Haz's affections.
However, when Mackenzie learns that everyone is gossiping about her and Byron, she clears things up by explaining that they merely stayed up all night talking. She adds that nothing romantic happened between them.
Mackenzie goes to the source of the false rumour by speaking to Haz.
With Haz still jealous, he launches a verbal attack on Mackenzie before she can explain.
Haz bitterly accuses Mackenzie of taking advantage of Byron when he was vulnerable over Reece. Aware of how Haz got together with Holly when she'd faced a traumatic day with Eden Shaw, unimpressed Mack brands him a hypocrite.
Tensions are clearly rising in the share house, but can they make amends?

Neighbours' Mackenzie Hargreaves will abruptly depart from Erinsborough in the show's Christmas episodes.
Mackenzie decides that she needs some time away from her friends in the wake of her messy love triangle with Haz Devkar and Holly Hoyland.
Show bosses have previously revealed that Mackenzie and Holly's tensions spiral out of control in the show's Christmas Day edition, leading to a near-fatal accident.
In the aftermath, Holly vows never to forgive Mackenzie over recent events and tells Haz that she wants either him or Mack to move out of the share house.
Haz feels awkward after Holly's ultimatum, avoiding a direct response. Unaware of what's being discussed behind her back, Mackenzie still hopes to visit Holly and make amends.
Later, Haz steps in and tells Mackenzie that Holly wants them to live apart.
Mackenzie is hurt to realise that Haz didn't defend her or push back against Holly's unreasonable demands.
Reaching breaking point over the ongoing issues, Mackenzie vows to get some space and books a flight to visit her dad.
This leaves behind further uncertainty for the once-solid friendship group. How long will it be before Mackenzie returns ? and will she stand any chance of reconnecting with Haz and Holly when she does?

Neighbours has confirmed that Haz Devkar and Mackenzie Hargreaves will finally become a couple next week.
The pair get on the same page at last, following months of uncertainty over what to do about the romantic spark between them.
Upcoming episodes see Mackenzie continue to loyally support Haz amid the drama surrounding his beloved pet dog Trevor.
Haz welcomed in Trevor after finding him at a rescue centre, but the dog's previous owner Alyssa is now back on the scene and keen to reunite with him.
Next week, Haz finally agrees to a meeting with Alyssa and eventually makes the heartbreaking decision to hand Trevor back over to her.
When Haz's well-meaning housemate Byron Stone insensitively suggests getting a new dog, Mackenzie quickly shuts the idea down.
Taking matters into her own hands, Mackenzie comes up with a plan to help Haz and Alyssa negotiate a custody share for Trevor.
However, when Mackenzie meets up with Alyssa's partner, she learns that Trevor has been miserable since returning home and a more drastic solution may be needed.
Whatever the outcome, the dog drama ultimately brings Haz and Mackenzie together as they decide to give their relationship a go.
They're keen to get things right and try to keep their decision under wraps for the time being, but Byron catches them in an intimate moment.
Byron is supportive, but suggests that it might be a good idea to tell Haz's ex-girlfriend Holly Hoyland before she finds out from anybody else.
It's sure to be a delicate time for the 20-somethings group as they juggle their new dynamic, but can they make it work?

Neighbours' Mackenzie Hargreaves to be next target in Haz Devkar plot
Newcomer Zach plans trouble.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a60490367/neighbours-spoilers-mackenzie-haz-target/
Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours' Mackenzie Hargreaves could pay the price for her boyfriend Haz Devkar's past mistakes next week.
Mackenzie is oblivious to the danger that she's in as she meets up with newcomer Zach Wade, played by former Winners & Losers actor Stephen Phillips.
This week's episodes see Mackenzie make contact with Zach for the first time after Haz messes up by mentioning his name.
When Mackenzie wants to be more involved in the search for the deep fake hackers, Haz warns her off by explaining that his former IT associates are capable of anything.
Haz speaks regretfully about what the group once did to Zach, including targeting his wife. This inspires Mackenzie to track Zach down in search of answers.
In follow-on scenes next week, Mackenzie arranges a second meeting with Zach as she remains distrustful towards Haz.
Haz, who's unaware of what his girlfriend is up to, begs her to spend some quality couple time with him. Mackenzie turns him down, having privately decided that her time is better spent supporting Haz's former victim.
As Mackenzie catches up with Zach, she doesn't realise that her new friend has a vengeful motive in mind.
Zach is using devious tactics to win Mackenzie's trust and he gets a thrill out of hearing about the destruction he has caused for Haz's friends with the new deep fakes.
Next on Zach's agenda is to make Mackenzie's life hell, as she hasn't been directly involved in the deep fake dramas so far.
When Zach learns that Mackenzie wants to be on the Supreme Court one day, he hopes to throw a major spanner in the works for her. What will he do?
Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, April 22.
Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4pm on Channel 10, with a 6.30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach.

Neighbours Spoilers: Mackenzie has already lost one partner - could she lose another?
Code blue, deja vu
https://www.nowtolove.com.au/entertainment/neighbours-mackenzie-panicking-haz-hospital/
History is repeating itself in Neighbours as Mackenzie sees another of her lovers in a hospital bed fighting for his life.
Previously in Neighbours, the cafe owner was accidentally struck by a car - driven by his own girlfriend, Mackenzie - when he was chasing down Wade (Stephen Phillips) a shady criminal from his past attempting to evade the police.
Now, as Mackenzie is distressed at the thought of losing Haz, Holly notices there's something off in her demeanour. What is she hiding?
"Mackenzie [Georgie Stone] is definitely reaching breaking point," Georgie, 23, tells TV WEEK.
"But having something to distract from her fear and guilt is the thing that's keeping her going right now. Exhaustion is easier than facing up to her complicated emotions.?
Holly (Lucinda Armstrong Hall) walks in on the tail end of Mackenzie apologising to an unconscious Haz (Shiv Palekar) and assures her not to be sorry, assuming it's about the accident in which Mackenzie is at fault. But Holly is left wondering if there was more to the emotionally charged apology.
Could it be she's not over the death of her husband, Hendrix (Ben Turland)? Or has she done something that might come to light if and when Haz awakes?
"Mackenzie's love for Haz is absolutely genuine, and his presence in her life pulled Mack out of her grief," Georgie explains. "But I do believe that if Hendrix were still alive, they would have been together forever. He was probably the love of her life."
mack and karl were driving slow, looking out and haz just through himself on the car, ridiculous

Neighbours' Mackenzie Hargreaves to hide secret in Haz coma plot
What is Mackenzie hiding?
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a60733342/neighbours-mackenzie-secret-haz-coma-plot/
Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours' Mackenzie Hargreaves will be seen hiding a secret in the aftermath of Haz Devkar's car accident.
Mackenzie has been left reeling after accidentally running down ex-boyfriend Haz, leaving him in a coma after suffering a heart attack due to his injuries.
In scenes set to air next Tuesday (May 14) and Wednesday (May 15), Mackenzie is left struggling to juggle work alongside caring for Haz.
Despite reassurances from Holly and Byron that they share the responsibility of looking after him, Mackenzie insists she must be the one to look after Haz - leaving Holly concerned about the impact the ordeal is having on her friend.
Mackenzie's worries only get worse, as she soon discovers that the Lassiters are advertising for new tenants to take over the running of Harold's Cafe, as it's temporarily closed due to Haz's hospitalisation.
Determined to make amends by saving the cafe, Mackenzie approaches Toadie for legal advice.
However she is devastated to learn that the hotel complex are well within their rights to look for new tenants. Mackenzie then visits Haz in hospital and promises she'll find a way to save Harold's, as a way of atoning for her mistakes.
Holly overhears the end of Mackenzie's words and reassures her she doesn't need to be sorry for her actions.
Mackenzie goes along with the assumption, however it's clear that she is still hiding something from her friends.
Later in the week, Mackenzie puts her plan to save the cafe into action, calling in favours from her friends in order to get Harold's back on its feet.
Despite her plan turning out to be a success Mackenzie still appears to be wrecked with guilt, leading Holly to ask what's causing her so much worry. Emotional, Mackenzie finally agrees to open up - but what is she hiding?

Neighbours stars confirm exits for Mackenzie and Haz
It comes after a surprise wedding!
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a62070594/neighbours-georgie-stone-shiv-palekar-exits/
Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours stars Georgie Stone and Shiv Palekar have confirmed their exits as Mackenzie Hargreaves and Haz Devkar, with their final scenes coming later this month.
The pair, who joined the Australian soap in 2019 and 2023 respectively, will exit the show after their characters elect for a new life in Paris following their wedding.
In a newsletter for the soap, the pair spoke about their time on the show, with Stone remarking: ?As clich? as it sounds, I will miss the people the most. I have met so many lifelong friends on that set, and I will miss seeing them all every day. It is a very special place.
?I will also miss Mackenzie - I was 19 when I first played her, and it was such a pleasure to play her the last 5 years. Mackenzie never compromised her integrity. With all the trauma she experienced - losing her mum and her husband, almost dying like 4 times! - I?m surprised she never went off the rails.
?But Mackenzie always held on to her empathy, her kindness and her strong sense of justice. I think that is incredibly inspiring!? she continued, with Palekar adding: ?I'll miss everything, the wonderful cast, the incredible crew, the great storylines.
?The early starts, the late finishes, literally everything - I wouldn't take anything back or change anything. It's been such a wonderful experience and I'll miss all of it. I'll especially miss the sharehouse gang - we really got close during filming, and it hurt to say goodbye.
?I've learnt from Haz that the pursuit of goodness and redemption is not an easy road, but it's possible. Everyone makes mistakes, but they're also deserving of a second chance. Haz wears his heart on his sleeve and I'd like to do some more of that in my life - it's a vulnerable thing to do and it doesn't always go well, but I feel like Haz is true to himself despite it all!?
The duo also offered their thoughts on Mackenzie and Haz?s big day, with Stone sharing: ?I was definitely surprised by the engagement! Mack already got married at a young age so I was not expecting her to do it again only a few years later.
?But I think after everything she has been through Mack wants to hold on tight to what she has. Also, I did ask the producers to give Mackenzie a happy ending, and a wedding is such a classic Neighbours happy ending!?
?Haz was over the moon to see his parents show up,? added Palekar. ?He was heartbroken at first when he found out that they weren't actually going to show up. They still have a lot to work through but I think coming to the wedding is an amazing first step for their future as a family.
?I think a wonderful life awaits them [Mackenzie and Haz] - they're going to love living in Paris. Mack is definitely going to pull big moves at the UN and Haz will no doubt have a great run in cybersecurity, it's mighty lucrative for an ex-hacker!?
